Disney XD to launch Marvel Universe
They are remaking Spider-man and his Amazing Friends?
Always remember, we were Heroes.
The Ultimate Spider-Titans? Still bummed that Spectacular Spider-Man, but here's hoping this new series will be worth it. As for the Avengers, i dont want to wait until April, i want the new episodes NOW! Also, can you really call it a programming block if you only have 2 1/2 hour shows?
Well since Disney owns Marvel it makes sense. Just like Cartoon Network is going to focus on DC since they are both own by Time Warner.

I would hope that the Ultimate Spider-Man show uses a modified version of the comic version where Kitty Pryde, Johnny Storm, Bobby Drake all work together for a while. Throw FireStar in there, possibly Spider-Woman could work. And you have an interesting little add on to the Ultimate universe that is somewhat of a call back of "Spider-man and his amazing friends" that fits... I doubt that's how they'll handle it as those characters belong to "other" titles that might want to use them, but meh...
Personally I wish they'd animate all the ultimate universe with few changes and with exploring it a bit more in some areas... like Anime does sometimes.

It'd be great to see the Ultimates done by another channel, like one of the pay channels or maybe F/X? However, I'm not sure there is a channel who would want to do really edgy cartoons, more so than Family Guy, etc. We are talking R/MA rated stuff, so it may do best via direct-to-DVD, a la the DC animated movies.
I find your lack of signature disturbing.
Considering how dark the Ultimates book got, I seriously doubt Disney would ever show that. Between the Giant-Man/Wasp relationship and the Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch "relationship", it'd be considered very non-family oriented. (Or maybe a little too family oriented?)

Avengers EMH returning is all I needed to hear!
I pretty much already knew about the Spider-Man/Avengers block, and I'm still a little miffed that Avengers season 2 got pushed back. But I understand why they'd want to do the block from a marketing standpoint. But it's good to be reminded of Avengers and how Marvel finally got its act together in animation and produced a great cartoon.
As far as Spidey, I get that he has this reputation as the quintessential loner. But with Amazing Friends and with him being in the Avengers in some capacity for quite a few years now, having him be part of a team is hardly unprecedented. With Avengers being as awesome as it is, I actually have high hopes for this series.

Short version: On April 1, there's going to be a new show, Ultimate Spider-Man, and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes will be returning!
While it will be nice to see the Ultimate version of Spider-Man, I'm not sure how well him being on a team of 4 other teenage supers is going to go, especially as a part of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spider-Man has always started out as a loner, often outcast from his peers. It could be an interesting interpretation, or it could be just way off.
However, it is exciting to see a confirmed date for the return of the Avengers series!
