  1. I cried tears of joy while completing Westin Phipps' missions.

    Union Costumes!

    Johnny Quest!

    He thinks we're sellouts!
  3. I can understand not wanting to team with you in some situations. For example, at the moment I'm running a gimmick toon that's only taking power pools past level 6. He'd absolutely weigh down any team he's on, so I don't blame anyone for kicking him off.

However, if they didn't want me just because I wasn't Fire/Shield or whatever the FOTM is, then I wouldn't want to team with such arrogant jerks anyway, so it all works out!
  4. Are't they adding badges for 500 and 1,000 badges collected?

    Are we hated?

People only hate Masterminds because they're jealous of us.

    Wow...

I think everyone missed the part where whip attacks aren't melee attacks.

    Quote:
The hellfire whip, dealing fire and toxic damage, reduces its target's resistance with searing, torturous hellfire. Unlike typical Mastermind attacks, hellfire whip attacks (except Corruption) have a much shorter range. Crack Whip and Lash with a hellfire whip have a longer range than melee attacks, but much shorter range than ranged attacks. The fire-, cold-, and hellfire-based attacks of the demons provide a variety of secondary effects.
You're gonna need to get closer, but not right in there.

To clarify on this, you only need to do Levantera's first mission - it's pretty easy, a few 'run around the base and talk to dudes' then a Kill 10 Rikti. Takes about five minutes - I had to do it right before a Mothership Raid so I could get merits
  9. I leave my e-mail on just so I can have the pleasure of reporting and banning the RMT'ers who screwed up free trials for everybody.

Thank christ, after reading this thread I thought I was the only person under the age of 30 playing the drat game...

    (17 here)

I believe there is, in fact. He goes into a club in his suit and does the robot. I am not making this up.

We will be playing together at all times, so we were looking for a good duo for us to get back into the game.

As of now, my friend is thinking of playing a Scrapper, but has no clue which powers he wants to go with. I was wondering if anyone could give me a good Archtype to play through with him as. I don't need info on the powers so much as just which general Archtype works best wtih a Scrapper. Also, we're not necessarily looking for the strongest duo or the strongest powers in the game. We just want to be able to play through and have fun, without hitting missions that we can't do because our duo or powers are bad.

Any other info would be great as it has been 3 years since we played.
I heartily recommend two WM/EA Brutes. So strong! So pretty!

That reminds me... I'm very sad we get no gun-butt pummel for Brawl with AR.
  15. I like running newspaper missions which randomly grant Emblamed and Cadavers the ability to speak perfect and eloquent English.
  16. And in those six posts he's already gotten -1 rep! Spectacular!
  17. Huh, well how about that. Thanks for the answers, everyone!
  18. I just logged onto my level 42 Tanker and noticed that the City Representative was in my active contacts, which is odd because I already have capes and auras unlocked. I leap over to the City Hall and she's got a missions available - the cape mission again! So I run through it, get Hero 1's letter, etc etc, and now I have apparently unlocked the right to use capes... again

Then I notice she has another mission. Auras again, apparently. This led to the slightly surreal situation of me running my aura mission while using an aura on four of my five costume slots.

Note: This character ran the cape/aura missions before the anniversary of the opening of the time capsule, could that have 'reset' it? This isn't anything major, but I'm just curious as to how this happened

    Remember Pwnz?

I remember browsing Pwnz before I realised there was a seperate EU forum.

It was mostly people desperately trying to be funny and failing spectacularly.
  20. Belissimo!

It's nice to see a funny topic from you that isn't a list.

I think you might be confused, this thread isn't "The best names you've seen in City games".

  22. Champions is, as of now, pretty much 100% inferior to CoX, simply because we have so many years of polish and experience behind our game.

  23. If everyone in my world looked like they were made of Play-Doh then I'd fear the city full of people with fire powers too.
