Is there any way for a Stalker to get a Talsorian Katana?

I am sort of new to this so any help would be great.

Thanks

Well can Villans go into the RWZ?

P.S. what is the direction for me to get to RWZ, and what level should I be before I start getting merit points please.

ya threw cap au diablo or grandville its a V on the map for the entrance. You must be lvl 35 to get the member of vanguard badge which makes it possible to get vanguard merits.

Yeah, entrances are in Cap au Diable, St. Martial, and Grandville. You can enter those zones at any level, but you have to be level 35 to get the "Member of Vanguard" badge. When you get to level 35, talk to Levantera and do her story arc to get the badge. Once you get the badge, you can start earning Vanguard merits for defeating Rikti. Special crafting tables around the Vanguard base let you build temporary powers and costume pieces with those merits (including the Vanguard katana)

If you're a Broad Sword, Ninja Blade or Dual Blade Stalker you can craft the Vanguard Katana.

Arc ID: 348998 - Becoming a villain
Arc ID: 373341 - To Save a Hero

Got Inf?

Sort of. Broadsword users can craft the Vanguard Broadsword. Ninja Blade users can craft the vanguard katana, and dual blade wielders can craft the vanguard blades. They are each a bit different and no one can craft all three of them.

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

As of the most recent patch, Broad Sword and Dual Blades can craft all three. Katana, unfortunately, got screwed, because neither of the alternate blades has a long enough handle for Katana animations.

EDIT: Someone needs to update the wiki to reflect this. I would, but I'm always nervous about messing with the pages with lots of tables and images. I know I'll break 'em eventually.

Hmm, last time I tried to edit my Broadsword the Katana wasn't an option. Do you have to buy all three separately? I'll have to swing back to the warzone and investigate. Thanks! I think the Katana is much better looking than the broadsword.

Vanguard: sticking it to you since its inception. Bloody amount of merits needed for their stuff is ridiculous. 'course, I keep making characters that want the costume, too. Silly me.

To clarify on this, you only need to do Levantera's first mission - it's pretty easy, a few 'run around the base and talk to dudes' then a Kill 10 Rikti. Takes about five minutes - I had to do it right before a Mothership Raid so I could get merits

Actually, the merit cost only seems exorbidant (sp?) until you start going along on organized ship raids. During raids, every rikti killed by a member of your party (even in small part) gives out a vanguard merit to each player. You can easily rack up 200-300 in a single raid, and most people will stick around for a second raid once the first one is complete. Check out your server's forums and/or global chat channels for more info

As a heads up, Protector has Raid the Rikti nights every wednesday at 9pm EST (now EDT).

So, not dual katanas.
Not up to date. We haven't gotten any pictures of the new options in order to update it.

...

It is exorbitant, even with the ship raids (I do know how much better those are for merit drops). A Blaster of mine was on two ship raids, ran through every Rikti and Vanguard story arc, and two LGTFs, and he is still far short of getting all the pieces. Think he has the costume change, the AR rifle, and most of the body pieces so far. Think the remaining 2 are for 200 merits, and then the helmet has two pieces for about that much.

In one raid, if you get 200-300 pieces, that's 1-2 pieces of most of the stuff (the 50 point pieces are few and far between, most of them are 100-200 merits). That's a lot of raids just for some costume pieces, and you have to do that on each character that wants them.

I don't mind having unlockable costume stuff, I just don't like that it is so much work to get these. The Cimeroran stuff is much more reasonable, to my mind.
