Forums occasionally locking up for anyone else?

I asked a similar question a few weeks ago wondering if the problem could be on my side. The general answer was it's just something that happens sometimes with this forum. It's possible the number of users could create a logjam of sorts, although I haven't a clue to the validity of that.
It's also possible it has something to do with that crazy cat!

Yeah, the CoH boards have always been a bit flakey. You get used to it after a while.

Yep, happens for me as well. It's annoying.
Considering the main reason to switch over to the new forums was so that we could avoid technical problems like this, it's ridiculous that this has been happening since the very day we switched over. This always happens at the worst times, too, like when I need to do a fast response or quickly edit a mistake I caught too late.
I use a site called Down for everyone or just me? which basically tells me if I can't load a site because it's down for everyone, or if it's just a problem on my end. When the boards start spazzing out, it is for everyone, so I know it's a server-side problem.
Why, exactly, did we switch over to this version, then? It doesn't run faster, it doesn't hickup less, it doesn't look better. Were sig pics, snarky tags and a useless rating system really worth losing the ability to nest quotes automatically or reliably go to the latest unread post?

Same problem for some time here. But luckily, since I spend more time over on the Unleashed forums, I don't notice it as much.

I can't open any thread that has more than 200 posts. Never have been able to. Er...I don't suppose any one knows how to fix that?
Never on the new boards I mean.
I experience the "no long threads" thing, but it seems to be fine when I switch to IE from Firefox. So I skip those thread because I can't stand IE.

I've had a few forum problems but they usually clear up in 15 minutes, the most annoying ones are when screenshots and other images wont load unless I refresh the window.
Wow, Holy Crap!! The forum actually let me post this after 5 minutes of hanging...
Yeah, we used to run on rUBBish Boards and we upgraded tp RvBBish Boards. Crap is crap.
