Emoting and animating a tech character! Help me out!

Hello all.

This is a little pet project of mine that started ages ago when I decided to make an Iron Man homage character, who eventually got the interesting name Steelmonger. The aim here is to eventually get him to 50 (he's 37 now), fitted out with appropriate Epic Pools and the Vanguard armor, as I consider it the most 'complete' set in the game.

The other part of the challenge was to make him seem as high-tech as I envisiged. As soon as I saw the animation for opening the Ouroboros portal, I knew what I was onto. Holding up your arm, tapping an invisible device...there had to be a way to replicate that. I found it eventually via a Temporary power you can craft that is called Advanced Targetting...don't quote me on the name, but it has a fantastic animation that pops up a little holographic display with the same animation used for the Oro portal.

So here's where I need some help. I'd like to compile a list for myself and the other high-tech heroes out there of what temporary powers, accolades, badges and so on can help get you more of that 'tech hero' feel. A good one to start with is getting your Mission Engineer Accolade for the AE tablet. Just like the notepad animation, but on a slick high-tech one. Cheesy, unnecessary? But definitely high-tech.

Please help me out if you can!

Make sure you get the Cyborg Booster, it has holographic combat auras, as well as some other costume pieces that might work well with your costume.

As far as temporary powers go, here's a list of all the ones in the game. EMP Glove and Geometric Gauntlets would be good ones, although you can't regain them through Ouro (you can get the former in Weapon Raids through Safeguards though). The Vanguard Heavy has the same summoning animation as an Ouroboros portal. The Power Analyzer Mark I-III are also good, they gives you real numbers for enemies and has a good tech animation.

However, I'm unsure where you got this craftable temp power you described, I'm not able to find any reference to it anywhere. I'm assuming you got the Power Analyzer and just forgot its name.

Powerup and powerdown come as part of the cyborg pack too. as well as the robot dance.

You also get this as the animation for the Surveillance power in the Munitions Mastery pool, an 80' range power with the following effects (from City of Data):
  • Analyze +54 [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]
Effect does not stack from same caster
  • RES(All Types) -14% for 20s [Ignores Enhancements & Buffs]
Effect does not stack from same caster
  • Defense -0.14 for 20s
Effect does not stack from same caster
I assume that the '-0.14' is -14%, but that's the way the website presents it.

I will now be very disappointed if there's no scene of Tony Stark doing this in Iron Man 2.

I believe there is, in fact. He goes into a club in his suit and does the robot. I am not making this up.

Additionally the Gun Drone power in Devices does the tapping on the wrist thing and Surveillance in Munitions Mastery is a better version of the Power Analyzer animation (it has the pop-up computer and also puts a holographic targeting ring on the enemy).

Finally, for costume parts, the Valkyrie set from the Mac pack has awesome shoulder pads for a power armor character.
