  1. Wow, it all sounds excellent, thank you.

This sounds great, but in addition, if you get time and its not too much trouble, could we have a version without the Bubble, so its just the collar? For when our space heroes are in a breathable atmoshpere? Plus would be a very versatile piecen that could work as lots of other things.

He didn't get the girl until after his powers (remember their first meeting at the party and her attitude with him) and he worked up the nerve to talk to her. Also, until he started hanging out with Steve, I don't think he knew a lot of people. He was Andrew's cousin, and was probably the least interested in developing his powers, and was therefore the least powerful of the 3 (which was also demonstrated a couple times in the movie).

I got the feeling that there was more to Matt's story that we didn't see, possibly involving a drug problem. He seemd pretty distant and strung out in the early scenes and his personality did seem to change a lot as the movie progressed.
  3. Yep, Caps sheild is essentially immune to physical force since it cancels it out because of the unique molecular structure. Thats if it hits it straight on, the edges behave differently, enabling the shield bouncing.
  4. Whichever gets made, can we have an option without the Bubble Helmet as well? All of the bases would be pretty cool as collars on their own.

I'd question this fact, since you are saying there would be no reward left for getting a reward. If you defeat 100 Romans you currently get a reward of the badge and the unlocked weapons. If they sold the unlocked weapons, killing 100 Romans would still reward you with a badge.

Yep, certainly. AoEs are one of the best way to take out Spidey. But that fight was in close quarters, where she couldn't use her full powers and so she ended up just throwing lightning bolts. Also, to Spideys advantage was the fact that he was outnumbered, since all the X-Men had to be careful not to hit their teammates.
  7. I'm going to have to side with Hyperstrike on this one. The Doctor is the The Doctor until someone else becomes The Doctor. Thats how it works.

I'm not questioning the tactical expertise part, I just wondered about it in terms of actual time spent regularly hjaving superhero-type fights, given the squigley comic timelines. If Wikipedia is right, Steve Rodgers became Cap in about 1940 and was frozen in 1945, so thats roughly 5 years of super-heroic life. But he was revived a few years after Spidey started out, so, barring time travel stuff, there is very little difference in the time they have been active. Seeing as Spidey pretty much always seems to be fighting someone, Cap can't really have been in that many more fights than Peter.

Again, no doubt he is a better fighter in terms of combat, training etc..

Thinking about that for a second, is that right? Cap certainly has more training but on the experience front, hasn't Spidey been having life-or-death fights on a more or less daily basis since he was a teenager?

What redside needs is a way to crush Wade, crush their enemies (sing if you want) and take that power for themselves, NOT destroy it 'for the greater good.'
We don't know that that won't be the case, we don't know what motivation will be presented in the story until we see it. Whatever the motivation, as a side effect we will be stopping the world being destroyed as it can't be destroyed due to the nature of the game.

Personally, I'd be very surprised if there wasn't some sort of temp power reward for Villains (like the flames of prometheus) at the very end, as they managed to claim a portion of the power whilst beating Wade.

I'm getting sick of that argument too. What if my character can slip into the space-time continuum? What if my character's from an ALTERNATE universe? What if, instead of feeding us the same "But you'll die too" crap we've been getting since the Rikti invasion, the storywriters allowed villains more flexibility than just "do it because it's the right thing to do"? How about that?
What about the motivation you mentioned in your OP? Durwood took the power that is rightfully yours. What self-respecting villain is goning to sit back and let that slide?

Oops, that'll teach me to have several pages open at once. I've asked Beastyle to correct the title so it doesn't cause any confusion.
  13. You can read the interview here

But the most interesting part is the final answer

We need to promote someone from within the Freedom Phalanx to be the new leader, but that will still leave a hole to be filled. We have plans to fill that hole with a character submitted by a community member in a contest. We did this prior to launch and picked Numina to be one of the Surviving Eight, and we'd love to do this sort of thing again. We'll have more details on that in the coming months, but suffice it to say that your character has a chance at making into the official game lore as a member of Paragon City's signature supergroup.

You get the powers, you get the drawback, Mr. Darrin "Slave-to-the-Well" Wade.
That is certainly a possibility and it could be much worse if the later part of Wade's plan comes to fruition. Though, would be neat for The Battallion to turn up only to be faced with Rularuu as The Well's champion.
  16. They are remaking Spider-man and his Amazing Friends?
  17. Loved this weeks too. Particularly as they shoehorned in a scene from The Blue Carbuncle, which is one of my favourites of the original stories.
  18. It was great! Although, they could have just ened it at 'The Geek interpreter' and I'd have been happy!
  19. I really liked it, it felt more like a Movie version of the Mission Impossible TV series (especially the retro misson in The Kremlin, which had the old music stings and everything). I also liked how the team felt more of an ensemble, with all the members of the team having character development and things to do. Another nice touch was an increase in 'realism', not that its actually realistic but they made the technology less like magic and more like real fallible technology (though that may have been overdone slightly) and the characters actually expressed concern about the crazy things they weren having to do. All that helped make the missions seem more impossible.

For me, it was up there with the first one.
  20. In some ways, I don't see too much of a problem for the OP, if you are tier 9 then you have been playing for a long time (and/or put a lot of money into the game). This now essentially means that you have a sort of lifetime pass, in that you can go on playing the game you have liked for years, almost completely for free forever. Resub when new issues come out that you want to try out, unsub when you've done all the new stuff. Maybe buy some points when new costumes/powersets come out.

You've earnt this level of freedom, enjoy it

I thinlk the devs have said that the celestial armour will be available in parallel with the new fire and ice stuff, at least for a while.
  21. Will anyone be trying to weaponise some warheads in the sequel?
  22. Those animations make me wish we had a turtle shell backpack piece!
  23. I'd say they regret whatever it was in the original design and coding that seems to make UI modification so time consuming and difficult.

    Flying East!

I had the pleasure of meeting Avatea at the 2009 herocon, she is very nice in person and very huggable!

Goodbye Avatea! You are a great community rep, thank you for everything! And good luck with the future.
