I guess when Going Rogue comes out and someone cries "Help! It's the thought police!" they won't be using hyperbole anymore.

I've only run the first part of the new Posi, but as far as TFs go it was fun. I'm thinking (hoping, really) when GR launches we'll see a new wave of merit reward adjustments, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll get bumped up.

This most likely refers to Vince D'Amelio, one of the senior programmers at Paragon Studios.

Ya'll did a great job leading these raids. Given my work schedule and time zone, this was one of the only weekly events I was able to attend, and I will very much miss the regular opportunity to team with you folks. Leading isn't easy and I fully understand wanting to take a hiatus. If you or any other inclined parties feel the need to lay the smackdown on some Jello, I'll be there (schedule permitting).

Well, I'm sold.

On the Training Room I am not seeing the sort of network lag issues associated with Ultra Mode that I'm seeing on the live servers.

I've noticed two very odd things since I17 launched. First, is that enabling any of the ultra mode settings causes my connection to suffer. Turning on stencil shadows or water reflections increases my ping substantially and leads to increased lag spikes and rubberbanding.

The other odd thing is that with ultra mode settings disabled, I'm seeing substantially better performance than I did prior to I17 with the same settings.

Well, Elec/SD (or Elec/SD/Blaze Mastery more specifically) is a combo that does one thing extraordinarily well: AoE damage. It has both Shield Charge and Lightning Rod which deal massive amounts of damage and have large radii. It also has Thunder Strike for mopping up survivors, and, if you choose Blaze Mastery as your ancillary power pool, Fire Ball.

Combine this with the damage buff from Against All Odds and you have just about all the AoE damage you'll ever need. Get a good softcapped (45% or greater defense to melee, ranged and AoE attacks) IO build with good +rech bonuses and you have a death dealing machine that is almost unequaled.

I have one such death dealing machine and there are many good reasons it is the current FotM.

Shoulda had someone holding a camera. 2 out of 3 ain't bad though.

I'm not a fan of the way the interface behaves. I want my searches to be limited to whatever category I currently have selected. I want items newly placed into WW/BM to appear at the top of the list. I don't want the last entered price to persist. I want to be able to hit backspace in the search field without experiencing MASSIVE performance loss. I want the sliders for bid number selection to return. I want the old level dropdown lists to return. I want the pre-I17 inventory display to return (keep the tabs though).

Am I still using the market in spite of these problems? Yes. I still wanna buy and sell stuff. I just wish I could have a more pleasant experience doing so.

Looks like it's going live tomorrow, just in time for the Wednesday raids which I'm never able to make it to.
