Lady Grey TF Broken

So did a lady grey tf today, heard there was a bug with green mitos being unkillable. We destroy everything fairly easy, get to the green mitos and BAM, not even a dent. Someone used a MK 3 Analyzer, and they have 90% res to all??? Some decent regen/recovery, serious debuff defense and they heal each other!!

After 10 minutes of no attack (Holds, Immob, Ranged, Melee) doing any significant damage even with stacking heaps of -res & blasters using Aim/Build Up!! Are they using actual HAMI stats?

Anyone else have this problem? Waited 20 mins with no sign of GM help so everyone quit. As is the lady grey is pretty much unbeatable due to the status of the green mitos.

This is a known issue. The resistance is correct. When you get a successful hold on a green mito the resistance drops to 20% and the regeneration and healing stops. Currently they have mag 52 hold protection, though (so you need to stack mag 53 to hold it). This was lowered to mag 12 internally and should come with a patch soon(tm).

Actually, they currently have 50 Protection. Castle then said he was going to drop it to 15, but instead, dropped it to 10.

The patch has been checked in, so it's out of his hands, and as you noted, should be in a patch Soon™.

I remembered reading about the -50 and +50 settings and assumed they were given in addition to the base value. Rereading what Castle said I realize that the original number was never explained in detail. However, he explained the new number:

Anyone know if Reichsman will be fixed soon as well?

He should have been fixed already. From the patch notes for the 12th:

Corrected an error in Critter powers which could prevent them from being shut down in appropriate circumstances. Good examples are Reichsman keeping his max Resistance despite being shot with the Dimensional Grounding Ray, Green Mito's in the Lady Grey Task Force keeping their Healing Aura despite being held, and some critters retaining Hide when damaged.

We did ok with it the way it is. Took a while but thats cause we were going for the Master of the LGTF. Which we completed. Having done once it I think you can leave it as is and people will be doing it in about an hour once you learn how. Regular runs with temps should still be sub 45 minutes.

Now its more like the STF, your gonna have a challenge. For once I wish Castle would leave it alone and let the cream rise to the top

The purpose of the game is not to filter out the best players. The purpose is to provide the most fun for the largest possible number of people. If only the 'cream' can complete it, and lots of people end up frustrated, then that is a poor design.

We ran this TF a couple of days ago. An experienced team of 8, with controllers, and the Healing Mitos, being insanely impervious, forced us to abandon the TF. Someone on the team said that this was a change intended to correct a weakness in the Healing Mitos, and that they were deliberately set this way.

In frustration, I petitioned and received a response as follows:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the City of Heroes Support Team.

An Arch-villain or Hero is intended to be a very difficult enemy to defeat and take longer to defeat than normal bosses. In most situations, a team will be needed to defeat an Arch-villain or Hero of the same level. At this time, all Arch-villains and Heroes in the game are working as designed. We strongly recommend going to the forums as there is wealth of player based knowledge on the best strategies for Arch-villains and Heroes.

You can reach the City of Heroes or City of Villains message boards at http://boards.cityofheroes.com or http://boards.cityofvillains.com. Thank you for your cooperation.

Windows: Weakened Hamidon mending mitochondria cannot be damaged at all-- three controllers on the team and we can\st make a dent. i understand this was intentional??

So, is this really due to be fixed, or is this overamplified "weakened" Hami working as intended?

You were indeed correct. Their Resistance power currently gives them 50 mag protection, and their base value is added to this. The mitos in the LGTF are supposedly LTs, which would make their effective Protection 52.

As you mentioned, Castle indicated that the Hold protection given by their Resistance power would be lowered to 7, giving them an effective Hold protection of 9.

So, if things end up as described:
The Hold protection given by their Resistance power will change from 50 to 7.
Their effective Hold protection will change from 52 to 9*.

* Castle erred on the side of caution and assumed Mitos would count as Bosses when he said that their Hold protection would be reduced to 10. Even if you choose to use that value (for a hypothetical Boss version of a Mito), you still wouldn't get a 50->10 change, it'd be 53->10).

It bugs me that they direct you to the boards but won't even site a specific thread. General responses like that lead me to believe that the complaint is not being read or taken seriously.
