  1. He's talking about sprites instead of rendered objects.

I would also like to point out that things like traffic lights are the responsibilities of a state government, not the federal government. So blame Rhode Island.

  3. Correct, Demon Summoning is only available to players who have purchased Going Rogue. However, Going Rogue content was made available (in a limited capacity) to accounts during reactivation weekend. That's over now, so you need GR in order to access any GR content again.

I'm waiting for the 2011 anniversary event, myself.

I honestly cannot tell what you're trying to suggest when you end every fricking post with a winkie.

Anyway, what I was suggesting is that the devs have a history of pushing Issue releases with a lot of moderate-to-major bugs still present, so a short Beta is really not necessarily indicative of successful testing and bugfixing.

  8. I would suggest adding the Hero Zone Event Messages channel to one of your chat tabs, it makes tracking GMs down much, much easier.

The Arena listing is a little confusing. I don't fully understand it myself, but I believe most of what you'll see there is system generated matches, not necessarily formed by actual players. Someone with more Arena experience will need to elaborate/correct me on this, but I believe player-defined matches have a different flag on them to set them apart from the others.

See, this is slightly more reasonable. I still don't see it happening, but it's better than creating a whole new type of enhancement for a tiny fraction of the playerbase.

And I should add, those failures only occurred because we were unable to get past Ghost Widow's healing. My tanker has never had trouble against Recluse himself.
  11. Even without Fitness your character still performs feats that no real human could ever perform. I consider the damage done.
  12. Chances are the 7th (wow, really?) anniversary event next May will be like the last two, with those AVs being spawned in regular zones.

As for what went wrong, I can only begin to guess. I can't imagine how an Inv Tank could survive GW, Scirocco and Mako at the same time then die against Recluse. (EDIT: Unless the Brute was Tanking and the Tanker was attacking with the rest of the group for some reason...? I am aware of how ridiculous this theory is.)

    Gold Event Title

...There's an event going on? This is news to me.
  15. Came up with a theoretical build for an Ice/Elec/Earth. Basic idea is pushing for AoE (hence Earth) and combining Energy Absorption with Chain Induction for delicious sapping. Note that this build as it exists isn't meant to be used in-game without modifications: slots were placed without regard to the level they're earned, I left a slot unplaced for reasons I don't recall (did this last night), and Stamina is just in here so I could get an idea of what my recovery would look like in I19 (might replace it with Combat Jumping so I can place another LotG). Other issues are the fact that Hoarfrost isn't perma (can this be done as easily as Dull Pain or should I not bother?) and the giant gaping Psionic def/res hole (focus on some ranged def to account for this?).

  17. Sounds like a bigger snorefest than Superman Returns. And I have a bit of a hard time believing that Zod will be the villain; he was the Big Bad on Smallville last season, and studios always tend to underestimate the audience and assume that Smallville fans will see some other dude cast as Zod and wonder "duhhhhh why doesn't he look like Callum Blue". (I suppose Superman Returns would inherently not have suffered from this imaginary problem since it was meant to be a sequel to Superman 2.)
  18. Compared to the set slotting I described a few posts earlier, you'd lose a net of 5% ranged defense and gain 15% recharge. Depending on what you're going to do with the extra slots it might not hurt you that much. The Lockdown proc really is handy to have though, I would recommend it for at least one of your holds (which is what I have).

Re-reading it, it sounds like you have Basilisk's 5-slotted in your holds? You could get away with the first four pieces of the set I suppose (skipping the quad-aspect and the proc; not even sure why one would use that proc outside of PvP). Set bonus-wise you're losing 10% mez resistance but that's not helping you much anyway. Again though, the Lockdown proc is really nice, it makes perma-holding EBs that much easier.
  19. I don't recall that. What are you referencing?

He's not an Incarnate as of Issue 18. We don't know the full details of the story behind Issue 19.

As for the Rikti being related to the Coming Storm, gosh I hope not, I'd hate to see a second retread of that. And why should they care about Ouroboros?

Not all temp powers are re-granted via Ouroboros, this could be one of the ones that isn't. The wiki claims that the flashback for this arcs grants a "limited" version of the power, but I just tested it and got the same result as you.
