Different servers have different populations. Freedom (Yay PvP!) and Virtue (Yay RP!) have the most. The server list is:
Top: One you were on last.
2nd from Top: Lowest current population online.
3rd from top: 2nd lowest.
etc.
etc.
2nd from bottom: 2nd highest CURRENT population.
Bottom: Highest Current population.
Also, the population is split between three factions and boatloads of zones.
1) Join a global channel and/or turn on your LFT flag if you want to team. This is a VERY soloable game, though, so who needs a team?
2) Vague thread titles and poor grammar do not help present your ideas well. I am more than willing to discuss your idea, however.
3) You pay a monthly subscription, but the updates (a.k.a. "Issues" ) are free, with the exception of Going Rogue (which is quite large) and some VERY optional booster packs. Other games (watch out, compare/contrast vs other games by name is a taboo subject) make you pay for every update, do they not?
1: The game is not dead. Perhaps the one time you played was durring off times, or you're on a low population server.
2: F2P games work for some, but this game isn't one of them. With the changes f2p would mean for this game, I know I would leave, and that I would not be alone.
3: You realize that you called everyone who pays to play this game 'stupid' with that last section of your non-punctuated statement?
This game has been running strong for over six years, and while your playing the game once no doubt filled you with insight that's so far over the heads of the people who've been playing this game for years, I think we'll be just fine how we are. I can say that because I pay my $15 a month for when I want to escape for a bit, and just have fun. You might think $15 a month to play a game is expensive, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper than what I spend to entertain myself when I'm not playing. A monthly expense from movies, to bars, bowling, and a plethora of other things comes to a much higher cost than $15 in one month.

You could have downloaded the game for free, then gotten a free trial account. Granted, it would have been quite limited, but it's intended to give you a taste for the game enough to allow you to decide whether you want to walk away or pay to get the full experience.

You may have the luxury of having a large disposable income you can throw away on microtransactions, we don't.
We don't want to pay out the nose for the updates we currently get for free.
We don't want gated content that you have to pay for to play because we are on free accounts.
We don't want to have restrictions on how much wealth we can have because.
We don't want to have to pay real money for inspirations like other F2P games charge for their equivalents.
We don't want to have to pay real money for temporary powers like other F2P games charge.
We don't want to have server queues that make free players wait to log in while subscribers go to the head of the line.
We don't want to have to pay real money to unlock powersets or archetypes that we now get for free.
We don't want to have to pay real money to form a Supergroup.
We don't want to pay real money to build a base.
We don't want to pay real money for places to store ingame items.
We don't want to pay real money just to be able to change our costumes.
Furthermore we don't want to be flooded with tons of RMT spam from scum sucking companies trying to steal even more money from the player base.
Players on free accounts end up paying a lot more than the subscribers do on those games that offer "free" accounts. Free accounts are an illusion. Everyone always ends up paying more for the damned microtransactions each month than they would have if the game stayed subscription based.
Oh look in the time it took me to write my post even more people have logged into the game.
Our servers are far from dead.

Yellow means caution the population is low.
Red means Danger! This server is dead!!!
Gray means the server has crashed.
The number of dots have another meaning
1 dot = low
2 dots = medium
3 dots = high
I would have expected Justice and say...Protector to have thier indicators swapped with each other.
Maybe all those Aussie players on Justice haven't got out of bed yet, or back from the bar.
