Recluse's Victory AV Badges

Anyone interested on forming a team one night, for a AV Badge run in Recluse's Victory on Virtue Server? my usual hours online are from 7pm-11pm EST.

Omph. You really shouldn't announce things like this. Everytime someone does, a group of PvPers come out of the woodwork to go, hunt, kill badgers. So unless you're prepared to deal with that, make youe plans in secret, with trusted friends.

It's little more fun with griefers.

But then again anyone watching the status in RV can see the status of pillboxes from several zones. I was planning a time and date in secret via PM's. But right now I'm just want to know if there's any interest.

Chances are the 7th (wow, really?) anniversary event next May will be like the last two, with those AVs being spawned in regular zones.

Last weekend I was able to but two teams together via public channels that would have been able to take down all of the Heroes before the PvPers showed up except that Sister Psyche refused to spawn after ~8 rounds of heroes. I suspect with reactivation weekend this weekend RV may be more crowded than usual so this may not be the best weekend to try for it.

The bigger problem isn't the PvPers hunting badgers, we were still able to power through the constant deaths they inflicted anyway. The problem is when they decide to capture the pillboxes unspawning the AVs. When that happens, there really isn't much the badgers can do.

I realzied last night that I now need to take a trip to RV again, so that I can get the Defeat Hero AV badges. o.o

Granted, when I got the badges for the Hero defeats in RV, it was on Victory server. Our team was relatively left alone for two pillbox resets. (Synapse wasn't showing up...) After about what felt like 30 minutes, player heroes started to meddle in my team's affairs, but we had a full team, and some help with true PvPers. Since I'm asking looking for a team on Virtue, odds are we'd hit some interference.

As aside though. It was ironically during the second chaos event, where the RV Freedom Phalanx, DE Monsters, and Giant Monsters flooded regular zones. Activity in those areas caused massive lag, and would have ruined that night all together had I not found a really great team. Because of the massive lag it caused, it impossible to get credit for any of the badges for the defeats the Freedom Phalanx. So I suggested to my team, "Why not go into RV and try getting the badges there?" So we grabbed a few more to fill the team and headed to Grandville. (We made a pit stop for the Arachnos Flyer, getting that badge too...)

Luckily with everyone participating in the event, RV was dead. So we grabbed 3 Heavies, and with a full team, cleaned house. Statesman wiped us out once, but we could not get Synapse to spawn. After awhile player heroes starting showing up, we started trading pillboxes... and it became more of a challenge. (We out numbered them, but none of us had PvP builds.)

It was by far the most fun I have ever had playing this game, and I do not PvP very often. It was what, I think Recluse's Victory as a zone was intended to be used for, but rarely is. And it made earning those badges, feel like I actually worked for them. And in doing so made some friends in the game.

I do not assume to believe that I could; or can replicate that evening, I digress... but.

I do want those badges....

I stand corrected, this weekend appears to have been fine to get badges. Just got a villain team the full set of Signature Hero Badges on Virtue without even any attempted interference from PvPers in the zone who were content to run their duels under the statue.

Same here on Guardian. There was one incident, where I accidently pissed off a PvPer, because I'm dumb. I don't PvP, so I forgot that Ornage Name means Real Player From Other Side Of The Game. We had just won the zone, and it said Defeat Heroes. My brain said, "Duhh.... dat's one uv dem der Hee Rows likes you sees in da Mayhem Mishunz. Getz him!!". But it wasn't. >.<

After apologizing profusly, I offered him a free kill of my character, but another on the team took my place.

Other than that, we got the badges, with quite a few deaths.

Freedom did one on Sunday was a lot of fun an killed 2 players who tried to prevent us.

Managed to nab one of the badges tonight on Virtue. I just so happened to run into the zone at the right time when a PuG had already formed, their team was filled so I formed a second with a Blaster. I got credit for Black Scorpion, sadly not Recluse despite the defeat, then enough interference came by to halt us... oh well. I'll try it again another night.

I was on that Villian PUG on Virtue last night.

It was a shout by a player called Barreck l.....? I apologise for forgetting your handle already.

He/She was a very experienced, calm and clever player who took us by the scruff of our necks and got us all 6 of the AV's and so also the accolade.

Our team varied from 4 to 8 in number and when not biffing the AV's we also worked on the 1000 longbow defeats and farmed the Pillboxes. It was a really enjoyable few hours.

We had a bunch of deaths but nobody cared and all kept our sense of humour.

We also had a great deal of support and co-operation from the Vitrue Heroes who decided to run a parallel blueside team.

As a long time Scrapper, it sure was weird running out of the Redside base and being watched by a blueside Stalker! The world has stood on it's head lately.

There were a lot of side duels going on between the individuals on those teams but as soon as the work started we called a truce.

Great fun and thanks to all for helping me to get my badges.

I also saw members from the American Legion in the zone that night too. I didn't know they did PvP stuff. If you can say that hunting AV's in Recluse's Victory is PvP. However, it was pretty cool knowing I was working with Legion.

I think the idea of wandering into the highest lvl PvP zone isn't exactly how some would want to spend their time playing and some just choose to avoid PvP altogether. I joined a PuG that was looking for badges in the AE building. So after we finished that, I threw the idea and my team for AV hunting in RV, and our team of 6 went in RV. At first our PuG and I were getting owned by other players, it was to be expected, you have to deal with it. A few of the teammates left, so we picked up anyone who was interested in zone. After a few deaths each, I guess they took pity on us and backed off. Recluse, Ghost Widow, and Mako down, Scirocco left.

If you're looking to get those badges either join a PuG that's already formed outside of RV(lvl 50) and simply ask, or pay attention the status in RV. If you notice your side is winning in terms of pillboxes, head into the zone. There's a chance you might be able to join a team, or throw the idea of hunting AV's/Heroes on the broadcast and form a team.

Tried to get a team together today to get the Signature Hero badges but we just didn't have enough Debuffers, coupled with the "lolRP/lolBadges" type of pvpers in the zone which didn't help at all.

I must admit that basically the only thing I haven't done that much in 4 years on the game is PvP.
Especially in RV.
It looks like fun, but I have never created a "build" for any of my lev 50s for PvP purposes.

50 Willpower/Super Strength Tank
50 Katana/Dark Armor Scrapper

On Freedom I have at my disposal;
50 Elec/Elec Brute
50 Ninjas/Storms Mastermind

Any of these be beneficial/survivable for much in RV?
I think PvP would be cool and all.
I have just never been "hardcore" about it.
Might be because of all the arcs I like to do in other zones.
Dunno.
But any of these ATs with certain builds do better than the others?
For PvP purposes that is.
PvE is not hard for me and from what I understand they are two TOTALLY different types of monsters.

Magellen, I recommend you drop in on the PvP forums and ask over there. I'm sure you'll get some great advice on what build(s) you might look into.

Personally, I will wait for the anniversary to get these. Got most of the AV badges during the last anniversary.

We had a great time on Virtue earlier today. The hero team managed to get all the AVs this morning and later, our villain team was able to get all the Signature Heroes except for Synapse and Sister Psyche who didn't spawn the entire time. These badge hunts definitely go a lot smoother when each side agrees not to attack the other while they're fighting the AVs/Heroes.

Just managed to complete that off my checklist, all AV defeat badges accounted for. Have to give a shout-out to , AhzLo, Miss Honey Dew, and Uber Golem for the help and teaming with me, thanks again. Now you PvPers can stop worring about me in RV, lulz. :P
