You can't just replace a power because it would piss off the people who like having that power.
-
It can also be people forgetting to set it. I always set mine to "Looking for anything" unless I'm specifically not interested in joining a team, but some times I'll log on and if the search window's not open, I won't even think about it.

...
I want Sister Psyche to be lead developer. -

Maybe they're just giving a free sample to get people addicted.

Tankers don't need more damage. I have an Ice/Ice, probably the weakest damaging tanker, and I don't have any trouble killing things with a decent speed. No, I'm not downing bosses in three attacks, but I'm not running through my attack chain three times for a single minion. And that's with out using build up.

This states they live on their mother's back until they can hunt, so I can only assume that means they live on her back until they figure out how to eat her. Doesn't it just seem like they would? -

That is weird though, I could have sworn the server status page listed all servers as "down" during the scheduled down time. In fact, I know that I've used before in the early mornings to see when the down time is over...

It isn't connecting for me right now, either. So it could just be us, or it could be the connection server.
So...I guess that doesn't help... -
Quote:Pretty sure it would. Those powers work by being a low magnitude knockback - less than 1, I think. So if Taunt gives even 1 knockback protection, taunted foes would be immune to earthquake and the like.-Would this interfere with knockdown effects such as ice slick? That could well be a dealbreaker in itself. It'd still be useful for dealing with surplus enemies that can't attack the tank, but it's a major potential nerf for a really useful power.
You could give them enough protection that most knockback becomes knockdown, but I don't think it's possible with out making them immune to powers that are already just knockdown. -
I didn't read the whole thread but...I can't see how you get 312 million at level 50 just from playing and selling all drops. I would be surprised if that was normal for non-marketeers.
How much did you make from your merits? -
I don't see how you make the leap from "We can now make custom AE enemies with out it affecting the xp they give" to "They're probably making an AT that can pick any combination of powers"
I don't see how those are related at all. -
It seems to have an awful lot of healing for a pet set.

The point is it doesn't have to be forced, and you don't seem to be willing to accept that.

Well I RP my bruiser as an Animorphmagus who misused a Time-Turner and fell out of the Harry Potter universe into Paragon City. So there. :P
-
Who are YOU to say they aren't given a choice? This is a role-playing game, I can come up with any circumstance I want. Maybe my Bruiser is pretty much near-immortal; The explosion takes him out of battle for a bit, but he can pop right back up not too much later. He volunteers to take the bomb into combat because he knows the situation needs it.

Quote:Well, inertial reduction can already put you at the jump speed cap, and I'm 99% certain a couple of siphon speeds will put you at or very close to super speed's speed.Has anyone tried this? I've never made a kin that survived alt-itis after Ninja run so I was wondering how does this pair with siphon speed and inertial reduction? Is it possible to be able to do better than super jump or super speed? Especially since those two powers will not work with Ninja Run. I would love to see a Ninja Jump animation while flipping over the zones. Or do a ninja run at blinding speeds.
Thanks for the viewpoints
I have four characters with kinetics, and ninja run multiplies the awesome so much it's ridiculous. The ninja jump looks so awesome when you're sailing through the skies, and I think it makes you jump a bit higher, too. Trust me, you'll love it.
...Heck, siphon speed + ninja run is so amazing I might not even take inertial reduction on one of my kins. -
This wouldn't solve anything, because people who want members for their AE team will just go to Atlas to broadcast any way.

I support this idea because it would be AWESOME if I'm on a Task Force, and one of my team mates is flagged for PvP, and then we have to wait for him to finish a fight before we can move on.
...No, wait, that would suck and it's why I oppose the idea. My mistake. -
I always thought the Veteran badges were supposed to be more of a reference to the player, not the character.
If you don't think "Honorable" applies to any of your villains, all you have to do is not set it as their title. It's pretty simple. "Tank Smasher" doesn't apply to my empath, should that be changed? Some of my heroes aren't Trustworthy, Faithful, Dependable, or Loyal, so we'd better change all of those too! -
Quote:That does sound like it would be pretty awesome, but this isn't a build I'm planning, it's a character who's already level 44. And I asked instead of just trying it because I don't have Dark Pit.I think everyone has pretty much answered your questions but one thing to consider is going Storm/Dark/Dark Defender. This has a rather nice combo of Dark Pit, Thunderclap and Oppressive Gloom. Dark Pit and Thunderclap will stun everything and Oppressive Gloom will keep them that way.
But thanks for the tip. -
Thanks for the answers.
I just needed to know if EM Pulse would hold bosses after PBU but I don't really need it to anyway.
A mag 4 stun will stun bosses? That will be useful. I'm trying to get to the point where I can solo mobs on large teams, because I love just jumping into a mob and destroying it when my team is standing around for no apparent reason.
