Ninja run & Kinetics

Has anyone tried this? I've never made a kin that survived alt-itis after Ninja run so I was wondering how does this pair with siphon speed and inertial reduction? Is it possible to be able to do better than super jump or super speed? Especially since those two powers will not work with Ninja Run. I would love to see a Ninja Jump animation while flipping over the zones. Or do a ninja run at blinding speeds.

Thanks for the viewpoints

Well, inertial reduction can already put you at the jump speed cap, and I'm 99% certain a couple of siphon speeds will put you at or very close to super speed's speed.

I have four characters with kinetics, and ninja run multiplies the awesome so much it's ridiculous. The ninja jump looks so awesome when you're sailing through the skies, and I think it makes you jump a bit higher, too. Trust me, you'll love it.

...Heck, siphon speed + ninja run is so amazing I might not even take inertial reduction on one of my kins.

It is so fun.

You feel like you can jump for miles. You run so so fast.

I've never built any builds that really put a lot of slots into the travel powers, but I would say that Inertial Reduction and Ninja Run feels like it jumps farther than Super Jump.

I only have used Super Speed on a couple characters, but I would say that Siphon Speed and Ninja run is faster than Super Speed too.

Either way, you definately do not need a travel power with Ninja Run and Kinetics.

This cannot be true. There is a hard cap to speed. Super Speed can reach the hard cap. The best Ninja Run and Siphon Speed can do is match it.

Well, Siphon+NR could surpass unslotted Super Speed

Do you like capped run?

Do you like capped jump?

Then you will like NR+ Inertial reduction + siphon speed.

Throw hover or fly in there and you can cap all three move types. Maybe not capped with hover, but pretty damn fast with 2-3 siphons.

And yeah, the ninja flipping is just the icing on the cake.

This is what I meant. Everything unslotted Siphon and NR is faster than SS. I think.

I remember looking at my /kin and I want to say that having 50 Run IO in SS made it just slightly faster (by like ~2mph) than Siphon speed+NR (right now, I don't remember if I have swift or hurdle from fitness on the /kin).

I seem to remember that at level 12, my Fire/Kin was running at something like 77.3mph according to the Real Numbers readout. It was also in blue which I think means that I was at the cap. Can't be sure though, I'm not that much of a numbers expert. Hope it helps though.

I know that when the chalet was open a number of my lower toons got all the skiing badges by using Ninja Run and an inertial reduction. Was much fun!

Slight Correction: You definitely do not need a travel power with Kinetics.

That is what Inertial Reduction is for.

One thing not thought of often also, ninja run + Inertial Reduction = Highest Jump CONTROL, ninja run + IR + Fly + Siphon Speed = Top speed fly, with no drifting when you turn (reacts like hover).

I'd assume you would have the best ability to do sled runs in the game
