By adding up the bonuses from each component. Yes, the individual % will be less, but the cumulative bonus will be higher than a single stat SO. By putting in 2 of the same dual stat IOs from different sets (ie, frankenslotting), you'll get better results than placing an SO into each of those two slots

Does anyone know what that kid in the blue sweatshirt was called to the stage for? The last video cut just as he was getting up to the stage.

Quote:Wait a second... how can you pay SG rent if you're a villain? You lose access to Paragon City, and the registrar in City Hall. The only thing you'd lose access to is anything stored in your SG base. You're still in the SG (you can even pay rent!) once you go full villain, you just can't use the base until you get back.
The only other thing you'd lose if you had any Hero Merits when you become Vigilante, or any Villain Merits once you go Rogue. -
Also, dont forget that you can still do the Mayhem missions even if you've outlevelled them (and even get the rewards for them). You just need to find a lowbie to join.

Unless you can find it in a store cheaper. I know some of the stores in the States are still selling the old DVD edition, which comes with the prestige slide (which I've been desperately trying to pick up for my girlfriend, as she's jealous of mine, but is impossible to find in Canada)

Damn, I must have missed something when running through the tutorial. That was the last thing I did before leaving Praetoria, and all I was able to do was was talk to various contacts on the two different levels of the facility.
-
Unfortunately, the Praetorian tutorial does not grant you a free crafted enhancement like the heroside one does. I wonder if you can do it again once you switch over to Primal earth.
-
I couldnt figure out how to get the Resistance arcs going. I have other characters in Praetoria at lower levels, so if you could let me know how, that would be great.
Quick update for those who were in a similar situation. The final choice (Hero/Villain) does indeed give you your 5th mark for this badge (Moral High Ground). -
So, I've completed both arcs for Power and Responsibility, and now have 4 out of 5 for the badge... where's the 5th? Do I have to complete one of the Resistance arcs? Or do I get the 5th for deciding where to go on Primal Earth?
I've already levelled way past the max mission levels (22 and a third at the moment), so I dont know if I'd be able to go back and pick up any resistance missions, and I'd hate to leave that bar unfilled. -
Yep, that was indeed the one. Man, did it ever piss me off trying to find that missing marker.
-
So, I picked up the new Vidiots map, and decided to get the badge for swimming all of Praetoria's rivers. I've gone over every marker twice now, but my bar is stuck at 18/19. Has anyone had this issue? Or found a way to fix it?
Update... Some of the badges are on multiple maps. It looks like you have to hit the marker on both sides in order to earn it. I had missed one of the markers in the river between Neuvo Praetoria and Imperial City -
To answer your quesion, it's just you.
That being said, putting it into any click power is less beneficial that putting it into Health, or another power that is permanantly on. You want that to check every 10 seconds, not every time you use the power. -
The game sometimes loses the flag that says you've unlocked the Epic AT for your side, and then when you hit 20, it reflags you as if for the first time.
That being said, I would love to see the Praetorian Police ATs become EATs for us. Their powers look great, and I wants them. -
How does one start the undercover action? Do you have to only take one or the other of the Loyalist lines to be able to do it? I have 2 loyalist guys at the moment, one's deep into both story lines, but the other one is around the level when the dual contacts gets opened. I've never been contacted by the underground, and thus have never had the option to go undercover.

I think one issue with suppressing powers in the auction house that is being overlooked is the loss of the portable crafting table that I spent many months, and much of my hard earned INF getting. The only place I ever pull that out is in the WW, and many times have I been thanked (and thanked others who did the same) for making it available.
-
So, there's nothing that can be done? What about running in compatability mode?
-
I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7, and ever since the upgrade, I find that when I tab or click out of the game, the screen is frozen when I return. I then have to tab out one more time and tab back before the game returns to normal.
Also, since this upgrade HeroStats (which I know is a third party application and is not supported) no longer remains on top of the game, even when the Always Keep On Top setting is checked. -
One of the most interesting things I came across on Praetoria is the PPD/Resistance npcs, and their offensive powersets. They seem to have a variety of attacks that eminate from their powergloves (for the PPD) or from large scale ranged weapons (for the resistance). Has there been any discussion about making these available in the (hopefully near) future as prestige ATs (similar to the Peacebringer/Warshade from CoH and Spider/Widow from CoV)?
-
Now that the NDA has been lifed, I can tell you that you can stop worrying about the clockwork costume. You'll be able to make a full clockwork (praetorian style) from the costume creator.
-
Your best bet is to contact NCSoft customer support. they will be able to help you out far better than anyone here can. I'm sure there is an email contact that won't leave you waiting on the phone, but might still take a couple days to respond.

What Agge meant is,if you go to the Scrapper forums, they will be much better equipped to look at your proposed build and give you tips on tweaking it based on what you are tying to do. That is true for each of the specific Archetype forums, where you will find a group of people who spend a lot of time discussing specifics about their ATs.
-
I cant believe that the incredible slog that the old Posi TF was would count as a quick badge awarding mission
-
I cannot stress how important the bolded portion is. While Player Questions is a great place to ask about generic information, the individual archetype forums in the Archetypes and Powers section contains detailed information on builds, slotting, IO effectiveness, etc. It's very common to have people post their Mids builds, and have others critique them. It's your very best place to ask about anything to do with what powers to chose, and how to slot them.

Historically, double xp weekends have been granted twice a year, once in the winter/spring, and once in the fall/winter. They once made a 12 month calendar, with all of the big events listed, including the various holiday events and double xp weekends (which was fantastic).
As the last one was relatively recent (someone mentioned March, which sounds about right), we probably have a long way to wait. I wouldn't expect it before September/October
