Quote:Yeah, I was lucky enough to see it before the redacted names and found it funny then, and then found it even funnier once the names were redacted.I think it would have been clearer if you had not redacted the names Nosferatu and Burkholder in your story. Yes, I understand that someone (who got the joke) suggested you do that, and that was even funnier after i figured it all out. However I wasn't familiar enough with the TF in question to know what you were talking about.
Once it was explained, it was very funny. -
I for one like that its saying that us good loyalists are blueside and those horrible resistance are redside.

Thanks. I can no longer see Ocho without envisioning him on a horse.

Well said.
I'll reiterate what most others have said that the best part is the community. The game is amazing, yes, but the community and the interaction that the devs have with us is what really makes it shine. -
So that preview driver is 197.44 as of 4/12, but the latest driver is 197.45 as of 4/13. Does the latest driver incorporate what was in that preview driver?

Quote:I would pay for a booster pack composed entirely of a whole bunch of alternate travel powers. Like the many different kinds of "prestige sprints" for example. So, superjump, teleportation, superspeed, and flight with just different animations/effects/graphics.
Yes, I would pay for that. I don't like looking different than everyone else... except when I'm traveling.Quote:Oh that's easy.
Ouroboros booster. Gimme access to those costume parts so we can make Menders of our own for when the Coming Storm gets here.

I think in my five years I've only done two sewer teams, and one of those was last night. My roommates and I created new DP characters and when we were deciding where we wanted to start (I asked streetsweep or starting contact), one of them said sewers. I'm pretty sure they've never done sewers and I was quite surprised they mentioned it since they had always been somewhat against the concept. But it turned out to be a fair amount of fun as a group of three DP (2 blasters, one defender) characters. Ended up working our way over to Skyway and finishing when we hit 10.

Welcome back, A_C. Good to see you around again, even if just for a short time.

Yeah, D&B at the Great Mall in Milpitas. I also remember you there. I have no idea where you slept and how you got there and home though, but I do remember they had an after party at one of the hotels nearby. I have no details on that though since I didn't go to that.

Most frequently Self-Destruct. Depending on specific characters there may be other powers involved as well or instead, such as PFF or other similar stuff.

A fair amount of mine do simply by being in the same SG or Coalition. For the most part they're just passing acquaintances, but some have closer relationships. For the most part I keep my villains and heroes separated by server, so I don't really have nemeses among my own characters. This may change with Going Rogue, however.

I avoid PvP like the plague. No matter what game it is, no matter how good that incarnation of PvP is, I do not enjoy it and I will not partake in it.

I've always been someone to just be there in the background, never really being noticed. So a group of friends close to 20 years ago called me a not-so-innocent bystander. It didn't really stick as much for me as other names I had did, but just a bit over three years ago I needed to create an identity for work, and so I started using the name Bystander again.

Personally, I think it is actually laid out in a completely supreme manner... you just change your power icons to mess with everyone on the boards so that they think otherwise.

Same here. And I've tried different email addresses too, making sure that every address I could find from NCSoft was added to my address book. Still no newsletters.

Quote:Yeah, that was a pretty awesome moment.I will also point out that the zombie Halloween event from last year was unleashed by surprise by the devs at HeroCon, which is scheduled =this= year on Oct 24-25.
I tell you, it was a kick in the big computer room, all these people playing the zombiepocalypse, players going berserk about it in broadcast, and the devs standing around watching over our shoulders, grinning the biggest grins ever.
