And this. I actually think this splash screen looks worse than the last one. At least he was fighting something. Him standing around looking like he's about to bust out an Elvis move doesn't look like an improvement.

IMO, YMMV and all that jazz.

EDIT: Actually I prefer the GR and original screens. Wish we could get those back somehow.

These are meant to be VERY RARE recipes. they are SUPPOSED to be hard to get. That does actually seem reasonable. Be glad it's not a couple of years ago when the ONLY way to get them was to farm. There are no MULTIPLE ways to get them, which have nothing to do with the RNG.

I don't think the arc per se is bad, but it's monotonous once you've done it the first 47 times. Once we've done it a few times it would be nice not to have to do it for every toon. It's not like the ITF is skippable content is it?
a better change would be to just sell the damn access to Cim via the Paragon Market as an account unlock. done.

having speed run both the villain and heroic unlock for Cim till my eyes bleed already, i would not object.

Because the wait times listed aren't accurate. So they'd rather join with a guaranteed team then chance having to wait for 2+ hours for something that might never start.

Yes, I know, chicken and the egg.

Yes the engine would be better and graphics would be, but I doubt they'd be doing away with things like travel suppression.

    ****LFG Tab Crash New! ****
Opening the LFG tab on a character with less mission options after displaying the LFG tab on a character with more options will cause a client crash.
This crash can be avoided by quitting to desktop and restarting the client when switching to a character with less options if you use the LFG tab for both.
Switching from a character with less options to a character with more options should not cause a similar crash.
This crash may also occur without switching characters when opening LFG after changing your alignment to Villain.

    Incarnate Trials New!
Minds of Madness and TPN Network Incarnate Trials have their earned iXP displayed incorrectly in the LFG description.
TPN Campus states that players will earn Alpha, Judgement, and Lore XP in the trial, however Interface and and Destiny XP are granted.
Minds of Mayhem states that it grants Alpha, Interface, and Destiny XP, but Judgement and Lore XP are earned in the trial.

    CoH on steam

Just the other week, downloading the the demo for ME3 was done lickity-fast on Origin compared to what it would have taken on Steam, simply because it wasn't bogged down with people stealing bandwidth for other games.

Valve has made some...questionable decisions in the past few years. They're no longer the 'cool up and comer' anymore and as far as I'm concerned, they burned up a good amount of the gaming community's good will and support. I wonder if they even make games anymore or simply buy up small productions like L4D and Portal and regurgitate with a decent coat of paint at minimal cost, because they've certainly not been releasing Episode 3.

Still, when EA walked away from Steam, well it was easy to side with Valve, but now that others are doing it, it's clear there's been a shift. So far, Valve's response has been to stick its fingers it it's ears, chant 'la la la!' and pretend nothing's happening. Or, they've been chasing rainbows like their "Steam Boxes". Yeah, I'm sure it'll be a smash just like the Phantom.

Valve championed online distribution, the big guys scoffed at it, but it took off big time. Then Valve made them bend over and took a cut of their profits. Now they're going to get some serious competition from those same big guys and Valve wont be able to coast anymore with their hand in the cookie jar. So what happens next will be very interesting.

    +1, good overview

It's a new type of item that can be used to convert an enhancement into another based on random chance. So you could take a trash purple IO and try to convert into a 600 mil to billion seller.

That's the short version. It's a bit more complicated than that.

Which is why my villains are PISSED OFF at Wade. Once again another NPC villain is stealing the thunder from MY OWN Player Character villains.

I think the point is that a definitive answer of NO has already been given to the first question you ask in your post.

Which you would know if you read the thread.

I don't think it's worth any effort. 90% of the content is in instances, not the open world so there is little point to improving the inter-connectedness of the open world.

If more missions were out in the open that would be a different story.

    Just my opinion

Plus, you have yet to demonstrate that this is actually happening to anyone, anywhere. I haven't seen anyone selling glad armor uniques in freedom help chat for the last few weeks, (and if anyone tried, i suspect they'd be shouted down by people who are aware of the coming changes), other than one known scammer, and he's not really selling anything anyway. I find it difficult to believe that someone has more than 2b to spend on such items, but has not bothered to check the market for them (where they are guaranteed to get the item for 2b or less) at any point in the last few weeks.

anyone who wants to pay 3 bill for IO (or more) can. It's there inf. You don't have any business whatsoever in that transaction.

I think all our experiences are irrelevant. If the data shows that they are harder to solo the Devs will adjust that. Just like they did last time. There were people screaming bloody murder on the forums that blasters didn't need adjustment, and that didn't matter when they made the changes they did. There are also people saying stalkers didn't need that much. Also irrelevant as Stalkers are about to get a major buff come issue 22.

I think it's more time-use effective to put forth ideas that the devs could use to improve blasters, as to avoid having to do this all over again in 2 years if they don't get the next buff right . . . if they decide that blasters need buffs.

EDIT: Also tired of seeing all the discussion of how top IO'd builds let you do this or that. I think THAT is particularly irrelevant in a game where the devs keep saying "SOs are not needed at all." Also keep in mind this is NOW a game where a significant number of players MIGHT NOT HAVE access to IOs OR the Incarnate buffs. Just saying.

IOs should not be completely ignored when thinking of balance, but it's NOT the BASELINE of balance. Talking about soloing +4/x8 with a 10 billion inf build is great, but it always starts at "what can this AT do with just SOs" first.

What's even more impressive is that you did it without ever firing up a build planner. I can do that too NOW, but it took me literally years of using mids before i could. *even more impressed*

With that level of perma dom, all my abilities (I have multiple doms with it) also recharge so fast that I don't need to worry about getting hit. My doms can pretty much lock things down within seconds period.

Perma dom at that level pretty much means my dom is facing statues most of the time.

Yeah I don't get why this costume piece hasn't been done already.

I also don't get how no one could see that porting it only to females when it's been asked for, for years, would be not well received.

The devs have let us know that they work several issues in advance, so fitting in a renovation for Ouro into the long term plans shouldn't automatically preclude releasing new content. Besides, as I said, renovating old content can also provide the opportunity for unexpected directions for the new.

Certainly, and that would factor into the scheduling. If it were simple (and it's not, from what the devs are telling us), then it would be easy to slot in sooner rather than later. Since it will have to be later - and it's already almost a year and a half after Going Rogue's launch - then figure out if it should be Issue 24 or 26 or 30, etc.

Otherwise, Ouro is just another example of CoH legacy code no longer working quite as it should but well enough for the devs to ignore, despite players' requests for revision.
Build a NEW, third Co-OP only oroborus that is activated when on a mixed team and you drop the O-portal. The misison arc is the only one runnable while folks are on the mixed team. That Oroborus is also the only one accessible while everyone is on the mixed team. The "contact" will be the crystal directly available across from the entrance portal (the one in front of the pool). You can't call the contact, you can only zone into the Co-Op o portal to continue the arc with your mixed team. The contact next to the crystal will only buy and sell insp, and is the only contact that can be clicked on in the temporary mixed team o-zone.. While on the mixed team your O-portal Will ALWAYS take you (and team mates)into the mixed o-zone. It has no timer and is 0 recharge unlike the original o-portals.

The travel list back out will list all the appropriate zones everyone has access to. Villains and rogues can only go to zones they have access to. Heroes and Vigs can only go to zones they have access to. The badge that grants access to the original o-portals will NOT existence in this mixed o-zone, in order to avoid an possible bugs.

No need to copy contacts over, no need to copy over missions, no need to deal with spaghetti code. Once everyone disbands (and everyone MUST quit team until there is no team for access to the original o-zones to return) everyone gets access back to their original O-zone portal and abilities back.

    Profit.
