The idea is sound - I wouldn't object to it being put in the game - but your suggestion of why is kind of ludicrous.

I don't see why it would need to be stored on the server since it's a personal note, not a note that anyone else would see. The same way player notes are stored on your computer. In fact, when I saw the OP, storage on the server didn't even occur to me until reading your post.

I like it. I would probably use it for salvage lists.

You said exactly what he said with more words. That's what a cooldown is. A forced delay between uses.
  5. I wish Level 50 granted 6 slots instead of 3 (for free!!!!), but am adamantly against being able to PURCHASE the ability to make your character INSANELY UBER.
  6. My boyfriend had this issue as well - also on Win7 SP1. The only fix was to bundle the whole Launcher from my computer and send it to him as a zip file. He unzipped it and ran the NCLauncher.exe from inside there (you'll have to manually create shortcuts on your desktop and/or start menu), and hasn't had a problem since.

I re-zipped my launcher and uploaded it just now (to prove it's legit, I put my name in the descrip ). Hopefully this works for you, too.

    Walk

IIRC, Walk puts you into "Walk Mode." Which is similar to Shield Mode, Hide Mode, etc., and for which there would be necessary coding to allow other powers to activate. I can't imagine it being TERRIBLY much coding, unless their "Modes" are coded kind of hacked-in.........

................OH WAIT. They're coding a seven year old game, EVERYTHING has to be hacked-in. Thus any change to ANYTHING requires more coding and testing than anything written as a game is being developed.

For the love of $deity, PLEASE!! I *hate* that place. There are *way* too many City fans to stuff into that tiny little bar.

However: don't do it the way (PAX East?) did it; all of the NCsoft games got stuck together into one big ballroom, and all City got was a tiny table in a tiny corner. Aion and Lineage/L2 got 80% of the ballroom. GW/GW2 got a corner that was a little bigger than City's. Don't do that.

The only NCsoft panel I could find was GW2. Exceedingly disappointing, considering how much AWESOME SAUCE they could pack into it about FREEDOM, which will be releasing soon after. Dropping the ball, Paragon.

I'm pretty sure they're not getting rid of them entirely. I don't remember who said it, or where it was said, but a redname confirmed it. You'll be able to purchase what you want piecemeal from a certain booster, and you'll be able to purchase the whole booster at once (this part is speculation: and it will likely cost 800 PP to do that, aka $10, a penny more than they cost now).

    1. No one ever said anything about before tips exist, but there's a big popup that says "Tip Received!" or something like that, and there's a new tab in the contacts window. Hard to miss. Not sure how people can get to 50 without seeing those two...unless it's via AE, because tips don't drop in AE.
    2. Corruptors are Damage/Support. Thus a Corruptor would be Fire/Kin.

DEFENDERS are Support/Damage. A DEFENDER would be Kin/Fire.

Actually, if you look at Battle Maiden again, she has a single-strap bandolier with a red jewel-thingy on it, which is not accessible to PCs...thus making it a signature costume piece. Her spear-axe is also technically a signature costume piece.

    As I said before.

Additionally, you can't because of various anti-fraud measures in place. I'd rather occasionally jump through hoops than have rampant fraud charges requiring higher sub prices, etc., to pay for all the fees NCsoft has to pay when fraudulent charges are reversed.

And the worst part is, I messed up on a power pick, and will have to do it all again!

Then pull your powers down from the powers window to wherever you want them. After five years here, I don't have enough powers that I use often enough to merit more than 5 (maybe 6) power trays open. You don't have to have a spot for every temp power you've ever earned. Honest Injun!

THAT SAID!!! I *do* wish they would preserve icon placement for "chosen power exists both before and after respec", but there is an alternative to fumbling through completely full power trays.
  20. Wait more than 24 hours after your last attempt. Don't attempt anything during this time; it resets the delay window. If after those 24+ hours elapse you attempt again and still get an error, contact support. Billing-related support is available M-F only, and typically takes at least a day to get a real response back so in reality it's more like M-Th. You can, alternately, call billing directly M-F noon to 5PM Central (1-6PM Eastern).

    Eu/ NA merge

My circle of friends does it often. Heck, Sunday I was running with my fiance and one of my friends, all three of us in the same apartment, within touching distance of each other, running new Shield characters through the low end of Praetoria (we got from 1 to 16!)...and we still gratsed each other when we dinged. I even gratsed my friend, confusedly, when he vetrezzed, because I am not used to that power yet. Saw all those big insps, went "I thought you JUST dinged! Grats!" and he was like "vetrez" and I was like "YOUR INSPS ARE LYING TO ME!"

Just for fun, let me run some hypothetical update ideas past you and see what you think. As a thought experiment only, let's say we were going to update the primal Hamidon model. Again, absolutely no plans for this, but it's an interesting topic to think about. You've expressed a desire to maintain the character's "amoeba-ness," and I whole-heartedly agree with you. That said, there are ways we could potentially make him more visually interesting while staying completely faithful to the character concept.

Off the top of my head, some examples:
    --ANIMATED CILIA. ....

    --CELL DIVISION. ....

    --SCROLLING SUB-SURFACE TEXTURES. ....

    --DETAILED ORGANIC TEXTURES. ....

    --FLOATING DEBRIS/BODIES. ....

    --ADDITIONAL ORGANELLES. ....

    --CYTOPLASM BURSTS. ....

So there you have it. From an art standpoint, we want to do everything in our power to bring these experiences to life in the most engaging, breathtaking, and super-heroic ways possible. Again, a Primal Hamidon update is NOT on the docket at the moment, but if it were, these are some of the things I'd be thinking about.

For me, changes like these would simply be polish on the core experience, deepening the encounter's sense of immersion and realism and keeping the art fresh and modern. This is a living game after all, and ideally we want the graphics to impress both new players that decide to try us out for the first time while simultaneously keeping things fresh for the veterans. I don't think any of the hypothetical updates listed above would harm the Hamidon experience. In fact, I think they could take what's already cool and make it way, way cooler. What do you think?
Making Hamidon "swimmable" would be awesome. A spheroid that matches the outline of the amoeba, which grants you an auto "go anywhere" (ala flight, but without gutting people's "castable only from the ground" powers) power of some sort and puts you in the "swimming" animation would be epic. (would need to make an "up" and "down" swimming animation, could be as simple as just moving your hands up/down, as appropriate.) Then folks wouldn't have to worry about jetpacks or superjumps or coordinating Group Fly (which is rejectable now anyway) to fight his "bits".

EDIT: Zaloopa and EK beat me to it! But you see! It's a popular suggestion! I've seen it more than a few times in global channels, and during Hami Raids, and a couple times in the Suggestions forum.

No, it means accounts that switch to the NCLauncher (or are created) after August 4 won't unlock the Wisps aura. If you already unlocked the Wisps aura, it is yours to keep forever, for free.

I sincerely hope we do not lose Flower Knight with the tutorial revamp. I can't tell you how many times I've helped/been helped by Flower Knight. A countless and countless parade of characters, half or more of whom never graduated beyond the teens in security levels before "retiring" (the "create character" and "delete character" buttons get a lot of workout on my account). Her costume is really simple and comprised of all player items, but it's still memorable even so. I also liked her character description, which I would love to see expanded, and to see Flower Knight again in other stories, to show she has also been working to increase her security clearance as well.
