Hmmm...restarted my computer, verified files, problem all gone.
-
I wouldn't mind if I had to update all of my files, but...
I click on the repair option, the progress bar spins thru in about 10 seconds, then says a new patch has been downloaded and the files need to verify. The verify process gets to about file 52, then crashes and tells me to run the repair check. in a viscious circle. Any thoughts? -
From Paragonwiki:
Quote:Toggles used to have the 120 second duration as well. The change in the toggle was made a while ago, I beleive because it was causing problems with escort mishes.Grants Stealth for 120 seconds when used in an instant effect power. If used in a toggle, stealth is in effect only while toggle is turned on. Range of stealth is 300 feet in PvP, 30 feet in PvE.

My D3 has a build with perma hasten, and I have to tell you...you probably don't need to cap your defense. With perma hasten, spam the hell out of Night Fall and Tentacles, and you'll throw out enough -tohit that not much will get you regarless of how much defense you have. Can't post my build (at work), but I've posted it in another thread (Perma Hasten Now What?)
My 2 inf... -
So, here is the build that I'm currently using on Live for my D3. Yes, I know all the purples are a bit excessive, but this is my marketeering toon, and I needed to find something to spend the inf on.

I'm finally getting around to IO'ing out my night widow and am working on a build in mids. Just wanted y'alls thoughts...is it easier to soft cap the widow with sets that give defense, or should I just be throwing in recharge to get Mind Link perma?
-
Thanks for all the opinions!!
As to the diminishing returns on recharge, I am [pretty much in agreement. I hadn't thought about the -tohit working with the defense, but will have to look into seeing how much ranged def I can squeeze in. I'll be playing with this build a bit more and then will post it up....would love some feedback! -
On my D3 defender, my original goal with slotting was to get as much recharge as possible, to get Hasten at perma and spam tentacles and night fall as amassive cone of death. Now, with the Alpha slot, I've gotten to perma hasten without using all of the slots that I had oiriginally budgetted for recharge bonuses. So the question is, should I still keep at getting even more recharge, or is there a second bonus that would help. Prolly can't get any meaningful amounts of defense, tho....any thoughts? Thanks!
-
Is Hasten not able to be activated until the previous casting wears off?
-
I'm currently running my D4 at +0/x5, and I know that I can go higher (I've been ramping up the spawn size a bit at a time to get used to the larger groups). On your defenders that you solo, what settings are you running at? Is anyone running a defender at +4/x8?
I know, I know, farming on a defender isn't very efficient...but damnit, it's FUN!!! -
-
Yeah, the 120 second powers were changed...also too lazy to find the patch notes, but it was really noticable to those (like me) who had stealth procs slotted in powers like CJ...in escort mishes, hostages sometimes wouldn't follow you until you waited for the effect to wear off (probably one of the reasons for the change IMHO).
-
Quick question...if I slot an IO set into a human form power, will the set bonuses for that IO set be available in Dwarf and Nova form?
-
No, this is not a troll about noobs wanting rewards NAO, but rather a real question. Do warshades really benefit that much from a purpled out build? If so, why? Is it as simple as an ungodly amount of recharge allows multiple stacks of powers, or is it something else? Finally getting around to leveling my shade up, and wondering if this would be a fun one to start to IO out.
edit
Forgot what quote I had as my sig till I saw the post...I lol'd -
Yeah, recharge is what I was thinking about, but wanted to see if there were any other thoughts. The build I'm woking on now is about 7 seconds off from perma hasten.
-
I'm trying to help my brother work out a build for one of his toons, a grav/kin troller (he doesn't use mids or read the forums). I've played a grav/storm, but not a /kin, so was wondering what type of bonuses should I be building for? Recharge, defense, ??? I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks!

This also seems to be a case of selective perception. The hypothetical "noob" we are speaking of is supposed to be ignorant of the workings of the market and therefore unable to take advantage of the profits to be made selling their salvage, but also is then sophisticated enough to understand the benefits of crafting and slotting invention origin enhancements? These seem to be diametrically opposing concepts.
There is a reason that inventions, recipes and salvage were released in the same issue as the markets. They were INTENDED to be used together. -
I was running Posi part 2 last night with my Illusion/Empathy controller, and at least 3 times enemies saw thru Superior Invisibilty and started attacking me. I was under the impression that about the only thing that could see thru SI were Rikti drones. When I said something to the team, the other Ill/ troller said that she had been encountering the same thing, and thought it was a nerf released in I18. Did I miss something, and was the stealth from SI reduced? Really curious...
-
-
Yeah, that's kinda what I was expecting...just hoping.
-
I have read thru the patch notes, and get the concept of a toon "going dark" when switching over to the opposing faction. My question is, can my villain that becomes a hero then join a blueside SG? How does this effect that toons status in their previous VG? I would appreciate any insite on this, as I have two very small groups on the same server, one red and one blue, and it would be wonderful if my toons could have some type of divided loyalty and be members of both.
P.S. If this has been asked before, sorry. I really did try and search for the answer first, but my search-fu is practically non-existent. -
