Corrupted files

I appear to have received some corrupted files in this latest update download and my game won't launch.
Is there a way to redownload the patch?

Right click on the game in the Launcher and select 'Repair (Consistency Check)'. That should check the consistency of your files and re-dowload any files which fail the consistency check.

Thanks, I found it!
But since it appears to be checking the WHOLE game , it will be a few hours before I have any results...

I wouldn't mind if I had to update all of my files, but...

I click on the repair option, the progress bar spins thru in about 10 seconds, then says a new patch has been downloaded and the files need to verify. The verify process gets to about file 52, then crashes and tells me to run the repair check. in a viscious circle. Any thoughts?

Goodbye, City of Heroes...I'll miss you.

On Justice as @Amperrie (well, for a little while longer...)

Mine did the same thing when I opened it today. Sadly, my internet is crappy where I'm downloading the files so it'll be roughly 877:24 more minutes until I can play

I had this happening once. Someone posted a fix for it, which I can't find. From memory: the patcher creates a temporary directory. If the patcher crashes, the temporary directory stays there and will mess up any subsequent patch attempt. The temporary directory needs to be deleted manually. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the name of the temp directory is.

And had to browse back through 8 pages of threads since the search tool wasn't helping. Look in your game directory and see if you have a directory named ~PS. If you do, delete it and try again.
