Defender Solo Settings
I run council missions on a Rad/rad at +1x8. It's dangerous but surprisingly fast, lots of procs and breakfrees. Unorthodox maybe but somehow works!

Semiquaver: Sonic/Kinetics Corruptor
My Storm/Dark Defender can do +1/x8 and if I feel like really stretching myself, pulling two mobs at once. It's a very interesting day when I do it. Otherwise, I tend to stick to my Stalker for "farming"

I usually run my Sonic/Sonic defender at +0/x1 but I know I can manage a higher diff. Since I put the mobs to sleep (with a stun and a hold to neuter the ones I may have missed, haven't seen or the one I am currently attacking), I just have to take them down one by one. But even with the -res debuffs of Sonic, Vigilance and Assault running, it... just... feels... so... sloooow. And even if I would have went for ranged defense that would make the Sirens' song less necessary, Sonic Attacks don't have that much AoE.
I only change the default diff. to tell myself "OK, I can do it"
Traps AR Tier 3 damage incarnate is running 0/8 to 2/8 bosses no AV. I lower the setting to -1/1 when I have 2 Tip missions left and I have them. Otherwise I run 0/6 to pick up a tip mission along the way. Sometimes I zip to end complete and work my way backwards until Tip mission pops and then I exit.

I'm currently running my D4 at +0/x5, and I know that I can go higher (I've been ramping up the spawn size a bit at a time to get used to the larger groups). On your defenders that you solo, what settings are you running at? Is anyone running a defender at +4/x8?

I know, I know, farming on a defender isn't very efficient...but damnit, it's FUN!!! |
Against enemies without many mez's I run +2x8 with bosses (Not the best for farming, but I do it for the challenge, not the influence. and they go down quickly enough once there are two Lightning Storms up and it keeps things interesting.) Against Malta, I usually lower to x4 because I don't feel like constantly filling my tray with break frees.
Although I haven't had much time to run standard missions since the level shift due to the new WST badges...I suppose now I can run +3x8...but I don't know if that's really fair to count that way.

My Emp/Rad can run +0x8 just fine, but it's too slow for my liking.

I have a Traps/Dual Pistol defender that can handle +2x8 without too much difficulty depending on what im fighting. I generally prefer +0 or +1 just for speed sake.
I can run my L50 Dark/Dark Defender on +2/x8*. It's not actually that slow, because I can take down so many foes at once with cones, but depending on what bosses I get and how mezz-tastic they are, two +2/+3 bosses a time can be a serious challenge.
Generally I would go for +2/x6 instead, which is what I play most of my characters on.
Leveling up I generally stick to x1. I usually set to +1 around levels 25-30 and +2 around levels 30-35.
* I'm level shifted, so I would pick +3/x8 to get that effect now.

I run my L50 Cold/Rad at +2/x6 as a general rule. It's not particularly fast solo and I'm picky about mob types (avoid Carnies/Malta); but she can certainly do it and I still have fun.
I find it annoying to change my settings all the time and when I run with husband's Inv/Fire tank we FLY through on +2/x6.
*Note - She is fully purpled, built for Range/AoE defense, and level shifted (though I ran this way before level shift too).
