Seriously, that girl is ludicrously tough. Me and a team mate were duoing her, and I had her debuffed seven ways past hell and back with rad/rad. And she just would not die. EB level might be strong, sure, but everytime I fight her, I think 'You're taking the blue freaking michael...' -

I keep saying, as do others, that a Revamp is needed. Shiny New and Shiny is all well and good, but if you don't service and upgrade the chassis, susspension and wheels, your vehicle can be as shiny as you like, it will still clunk and grate and break down occasionally.
All low level content, t'be honest, could do with a revamp. The main problem with Villains? Until you get to Oakes the ammount of contacts is; Two. Kalinda and Mongoose, or Burke and the Professor. Thats IT. Fine for new players, maybe, but it sure as hell gets old mighty quick, ESPECIALLY when someone bright spark put the Hospital right at the bass ackwards side of Mercy, which really grates when your missions are in Upper Mercy >.< -
WP and Regen on high end Bosses and over, and people who use the mez shields far too much.
On Ten Thousand Fists, my first story arc, I had to do a lot of balancing to get the mix of units right. The second half of the arc features just the custom mob that is the focus of the story, and since I didn't want any minions (for plot reasons) I had to take a lot of time making sure that the LTs who were the main staple were balanced enough to take on en masse.
Actually, thinking about what might happen in I16, given the difficulty sliders and such...I might need to go back and re-tweak the Bosses, too, if they spawn more frequently than normal. And maybe add in some more specific bosses... -

Ah, was going to make a post on this, seems Im not the only one waiting for it to be fixed. The End Mod ones are annoying, but the ones for resistance are horrible, especially on scrappers and tankers, or brutes and suchnot redside.
Hopefully this will get seen to soon, since it's a legitimate problem no matter which way you use the AE. -

I tend to stick to a very small selection of faces and hair, because the majority of the others look so bleeding awful. And thats if I dont make the character robotic or masked or something.
Serrated sugar and mimee haircuts for the girls are so much win. I can't think off the top of my head what others. -

'Sides, if peeps end up coming back later, bug fixes and patches will probably have been sorted, servers will be stable again after the initial rush...its not all bad =] -
Vanguard and Cimerorans are some of the nastiest fleshlings around.
Cimerorans I have a real grudge against, mind. Seriously, some guy with a sword, shield and a spear? Can beat my high-tech armour plated characters? Thematically that's so much tripe. Now, if they were mediocre but there were so many they mobbed you to death...that I could live with...Ah well, they all die to our SG teams anyway ^^
Vanguard, though...hoo boy. I love Vanguard. And I mean no sarcasm. They are IMO, one the finer creations of the Devs. Kickass costume stuff, awesome arcs and whatnot, actual mob unlockables (the armour, etc)...and the Rogues. These guys are meant to be equipped to cut Rikti down like grass, how much chance do people think Earth tech would stand against them?
Gamewise, it's satisfying beating the snot out of something trickier. I remember testing one of my arcs which used them (Now lost due to laptop dying) with my Tanker, thinking 'What the heck is happening to my health? ... Oh, you did NOT just debuff me that much!' Much pummeling ensued ^^
Also, for an added challenge; Someone try and fight one of the Vanguard HVAS's. Stick one in an AE mish as a foe, and see how you fair. Seriously, my tanker had stood toe to toe with Bile, Requiem, Hro' Dotz and some of the nastier foes in game and still been alive at the end, but the HVAS trampled him into a mechanical smear on the ground. -

For that matter, how about any character who bears even the slightest resemblance to a Judeo-Christian angel? Should they be Gen'd because of their resemblance to the Marvel character?
Or how about a Soviet Super-Soldier named Kapitan Archangelsk (a city in Russia)?
I think the GM in this case was being too eager with the Gen-Hammer. If the character bore no other resemblance to the Marvel character, other than a similar (but NOT the same) name, then I don't see how it could be infringing.
Angels and archangels are a very common images in Judeo-Christian mythology, I don't agree that any character resembling them automatically is a ripoff of the Marvel character.
What's next, Generic anyone with a red cape, cuz they're clearly ripping off Superman?
Or Generic anyone with a spider motif, cuz their ripping off Spider-Man?
If that's the case, then remove the Claws and Regen powersets from the game, cuz those powersets can only be used for toons who rip off Wolverine.

For villains who will be going more grey in GR, maybe. But for the likes of my Crab Spider, who is not only convinced that survival of the fittest works but has a massive grudge against Longbow, he has absolutely no regret about pounding them into the dirt. And hey, he even gets UN authorisation for it! =P -
Maybe the Rularuu weapons badge isnt the best example.
But I don't think anyone can deny the likes of the PP and Redcap badges. An unlockable that means you HAVE to be online for the valentine and winter events? What if you can't? You're out of luck?
Hardly a good call on that one. And Crey PPs are a devil to fine. As are Fake Nems, unless you farm the likes of 'Battle for Telivision' with a team. -

I had been using copious amounts of share pain, and someone dropped a cyst that was right next to me, as I was moving twards someone else that was dropping another one.... bad day. Anyway I fall flat on my face, all my thugs drops, so aggro goes all over the place. I rez to hospital and use mission teleporter. I look over at my wife's screen and 3 more people are dead. I get back on the map, Superspeed back to the fight (this is only about a min and a half after the cat jumped on the keyboard) and pop share pain+Painbringer on my wife just as she is about to drop (the only people that are alive at this point is me and her and she has like all the aggro). I rez the rezzer again, tell the other MM to use a wakie, cm->soothe->null pain him, pass him 2 blues, and start healing the party. At this point it gets easy since there are so few enemies left. At the end I look at my wife's toon (the only one of us that didn't die) and see the bodies around her and think about River standing over the bodies of all those Reavers.
Second story is about the cats we have. One cuddles playstation controllers, and likes watching Katamari Damacy. Another one loves watching shows like House, CSI, and NCIS. Another one (the one from above) likes to plop down on people keyboards and listen to the beeps that happen when you hit 60 or so keys at once. Our last one suffers from scrapperlock.
Once our roommate was playing WoW. He just got level 20 or so (Id say he was at 20.3), and was hungry, so he turns off his moniters (everyone in my house uses at least 2 screens on their rigs), steps away, and goes to the chinese place down the street to order 8 orders of potstickers. It takes about 30 mins or so for him to get his order, and I am keeping him company (at a cost of him giving me an order of potstickers). The wife was at work this whole time. When we get back, he is something like half a zone from where he walked away, and level 21, and the fourth cat is sitting next to his keyboard with her paws near the "wasd" section. Yes our cat played WoW and leveled him faster than he could have. This isn't the end of the story, this cat loves watching CoH. Loves all the colors and movements. A few weeks ago I made a Sonic/MM Blaster, and the cat would meow loudly every time i used any of the sonic powers. The funny part, we named her Banshee 3 years ago. She likes the sound FX for Sonic.
Give them all hugs from me =P

Regardless of the level of Bravo for the Shadowshard arc from Naylor, it can be completed in a fairly quick amount of time and once you get the souvenier you unlock the Rularuu weapons.
Though perhaps ish 16 and the level alterations and super sidekicking may facilitate quicker unlocks.
Hopefully I16 may help some, and GR may in fact put an end to most of the unlockable weapons badge worries once and for all. It's still a major annoyance at the moment sadly =[ -

Yes, someone out there WOULD sue over something that ridiculous. There was a lady who sued an RV company because she set her cruise control on the highway and got up to make a sandwich. Predictably enough, the RV went off the road and flipped over. The sad part is the lady WON the lawsuit and got over a million dollars and a new RV.
So, they can't feasibly remove xp from AE now without dealing with a similar headache. Can you imagine NCSoft having to go to court and fight a lawsuit because someone is claiming "pain and anguish" because their fictional character can't get xp in a video game? As stupid as it sounds, someone would sue over it.
The really sad part? Yeah, it's believable.
