When the wiki is back (I have no idea why it's down right now, all of Titan seems to be missing), go to this page:

Quote:That's how it works. That's how special capes used to work. The CoH Collector's and the CoV Collector's capes both require level 20 and a tailor fee (or tailor token) to use. That's where I found mine -- for $10! But I was a little disappointed to learn that the "in game item" -- the Cot4W, you can't get until you hit lvl 20. Which means that to get it, not only do you have to wait until you get to 20, but then you *have* to go to a tailor and pay (in-game) for it.
Or did I miss a shortcut somewhere? -
I've dreamed about City several times, but I never remember details. I remember after one DXP weekend (where I took days off and slept very little), I dreamed three nights straight about full-team steamrolling madness. It made me take the next DXP weekend much more lightly.

I *love* using Burn on my brute, but he *does* have access to an AOE immobilize, so it negates the fear effect because I immobilize the group before I burninate them. I also have AOE knockdown in Lightning Rod and Thunder Strike, which keeps them in their place if my immobilize is recharging. *laughs hysterically and runs into game to play her ele/fire brute some more*

Visit Paragon Wiki: http://www.paragonwiki.com (also accessible at http://wiki.cohtitan.com )
Start by searching for "Issues" and "Timeline" and "Patch Notes".
The first one will give you a list of all the Issue patches to the game (the big numbered patches).
The second one will give you a time-related listing of Issues and various events (real-life events, not in-game storyline stuff).
The third will give you access to the patch notes for nearly every single patch that's hit the game; as of right now we're only missing like 2-3 patch notes, IIRC and off the top of my head. (I don't at all expect you to read every single one. )
After you're done with that, search out specific stuff that interests you. Depending on how long you've been gone, the Invention System is important, as is the Mission Architect, the Faultline and Rikti Crash/War Site zone revamps, and a bunch of other things. Just start following breadcrumbs around to things that look interesting/different. -
I agree with most of that list, though a few I would shuffle around (I would put SWG lower than EverQuest and Ultima Online, and I would put City up a spot or two maybe, but as an avid player I am biased and have a more intimate knowledge of the impact on MMOs by my favorite game, whereas the gaming community at large mostly goes "City of Heroes? You mean that old game that brought capes to the MMO world...?").

Warshades are awesome in and out of a can.
Psi/Mental blasters will be neutered in the middle-to-end game against some enemies (some enemies have heavy psi damage resistance). Though to be honest, the vast majority of enemies don't have any or have a weakness to psi. But the enemies with resistance can be found just about everywhere.
Warshades don't have this problem because they're negative energy based. Of course, there are NE-resistant foes, but not as frequent or as high resistance numbers.
(NOTE: Pairing Psi/ with something other than /Mental, or /Mental with something other than Psi/, goes a *VERY LONG* way to not plink those enemies to death instead of ripping through them like butter.) -
Tech & Bugs forum will garner you better, faster response.

Get the pets out of melee. She heals off of everything in melee.

Quote:The civilians that wander around are 100% impervious. Not just Invulnerable (like us Heroes and Villains can be), but completely and totally incapable of taking damage. The only normal people in this game are the civilians that wander around.
I don't call that normal! -

You cannot 'record the serial number' before upgrading with a serial code purchased from the NCsoft store. You are given the last four digits, the other 12 are Xs. You only get the serial number in the confirmation email AFTER you upgrade your account.

Technically, they only sell these items at HeroCon, so far. Nothing on the web, not since the overhaul to the store, years ago.

Uhhh, Grandville has two merit vendors:
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Merit_Vendor
# Grandville:
* Just off the Ferry (2714.1, -486, 3115)
* In front of Lord Recluse's Statue (2775.7, -391.6, 1775.7) -
Quote:Because Mental has Psychic Scream (cone AOE) and Psychic Shockwave (PBAOE) to add to the AOE of Archery or AR. It also has Drain Psyche, to cut way, way down on health/endurance downtime.Gah I feel bad I'm pushing the derail button too hard now - but I do have a 50 Archery/Devices blaster, so I'm good with that part, I was curious as to why pairing it with Mental was such a good move.
I'll do my own poking around re: Mental right now, let's not derail this any more than I already have, Apologies. -

Yes. If you remove someone from your global list, you are also removing yourself from their list. Server friends list operates differently and does not do anything to another person's list if you add or remove that person.
There are occasionally bugs, and you are not removed from their list. Those are bugs though, not an 'option'. -
Freedom was previously the busiest server. Virtue has currently overtaken it as number one, but not by a large margin because Freedom shows up number one occasionally. No one knows if it's permanent or just temporary.

No, he meant defense checks use the higher number. If you have 40% AOE defense and 10% fire defense and get hit by a Fire/AOE power, it will check against AOE. If you get hit by a Fire/Ranged, it will check against Fire. If you get hit by a Smashing/AOE, it will check against AOE. If you get hit by a Smashing/Melee, you have no defense.

You will get better response in the AT-appropriate forum.

Quote:I second this... as much as I like him, I'd like to filter out David Nakayama, but nobody else. There was one day where he was literally half the posts on the digest. *facepalm* He's currently got the last seven places on the feed, plus two more down further. I like his art, but I don't care THAT MUCH about it that it should be pushing legit developer posts (as in: he's an artist, not a developer or community guru of the game I play) off my feed. I can only see 25 posts (CoH Digest is open in my Firefox bookmark sidetab), so when there's 9 out of 25 posts were written by him, that's a lot of clutter. Is it possible to select a list of names to include instead of selecting only 1? Or select 1 name to exclude. >_>

You did note that the OP says (paraphrased) "only available if you have the Martial Arts pack", right? I would guess not, by your wording. So no, a paid-for animation wouldn't make it into the game for free, you'd still have to pay for the pack to use it as an alternate animation for stuff.

Quote:Three, maximum, if you're "doin it rite".So, well, I would appreciate a TP to Cimerora... That would turn at least 4 loading screens into just one. But that´s me...
[wherever you are] -> Steel Canyon Wentworths/Cap au Diable Black Market -> Midnighter Club -> Cimerora. Three loading screens. If you are already in Steel, Croatoa, Founders, or Cap au, two loading screens.
[wherever you are] -> Ouroboros -> Flashback to Cimerora contact, Ouro Crystal to Cimerora Contact, Quit flashback. Two loading screens. Since Ouro is a common travel hub, you may already be in there, making it one loading screen.
---
If you're "doin it rong", then yeah, you might see four or five or six loading screens. That's not the game's fault, though. Use what's available and you cut down on a lot of your loading. Then you don't have to whine and cry about loading screens.
Also, if your loading screen time is long and extensive, upgrade your RAM.
