Don't overlook the invention tables in the Vanguard base. Also, there are abandoned labs in Port Oakes and St. Martial if you need a place to quickly go to craft.
As for quicker access to the Universities? Well, it really is not all that far a run from the Yellow Line to the Steel Canyon branch. And likewise, the one in Croatoa is pretty easy to get to as well. And if you need to get to the Green Line real fast from a low level zone, and do not want to work your way through Steel, the Founders Falls exit from the Vanguard Base is right across the street from the train station.

We have a TP to go to Went Worths.. when there in a lot of zones already...
Then there are TPs to each zone
(I mention this to say "remember back when SG bases would only take you to hazard zones only?")
Then we have Mission TP, etc..
Why would it hurt to have another TP that could take you to the university for easy access to the midnighters club?
It seems every year or so we get a new TP to go somewhere regardless how easy it already is, might as well have one that takes you closer to the midnighters club.
Just a thought.

There's also the crafting stations scattered around the low level areas on the Villain Side.
Now, I am about to deliberately step on a few toes.
I think travel in the game is too easy. With all of the teleporter powers available, the temporary jetpacks and jumppacks, the exp readjust from 1 to 20, the adjustment of Task Forces to use 5+ TF level cap, and the new ninja run power in the booster pack, I say it's actually too easy to get around. (indenting because I'm talking about a different game to explain why)
I'm reminded a lot of Planetside. I've fussed / ranted / talked / insert your own verb here about the game before. It started out as a Military Simulation where players actually had to trek across entire continents. You had to take a vehicle because if you walked, you could literally be an hour or more... just walking. For a lot of the original players the appeal of the game was in the management of the army. The whole aspect of managing troop transports, army columns, supply runs, and so on.In much the same way, I've begun to miss the overwhelming desire to hit 14 and get a travel power. I've begun to miss the challenge of having to read a map to figure out where to go.
However, the developers started to chase after the session based gameplay of Unreal Tournament or Quake, modifying the game so that you didn't have to trek across continents to get to a fight or join a fight. Where the management of armor columns really, wasn't important. Where re-supplying a base was just a simple in-cont run, and not a mad dash from one base on another continent over.
The loss of the travel, the loss of the vehicle travel aspect, saw a large percentage of the game population leave. While SOE was able to replenish some of the pop by bringing in players who liked Session based gameplay, the change to travel was one of the (admittedly many) events veteran Planetside players can point at when asked as to where SOE Lost It.
I enjoy the ease of getting around now. It's a lot easier on a new player.... but a lot of the joy of travel... just seeing the game... is gone.
Now, I do have some hopes, looking at Going Rogue, that the newer, larger, no-war-wall zones will require more actual travel. That it will return that sense of going somewhere because your going to do something where ever you are going.
I wouldn't want the developers to pull any of the travel boosts we have now... but... well. Maybe it's time to stop adding teleports and instant-arrives and start adding, I don't know, new travel power options. Maybe a skateboarding set, or a hoverboard, or something else.
For the love of pete, Cimerora is accessible through Midnighter clubs... There are two Midnighter clubs within a couple hundred yards of a Wentworths and a Black Market. Use your damn market teleporters if you're that lazy. We don't need a friggen 'library pass'.

IMO we have TOO MANY shortcuts in the game as it is >.>
Go to Ouroboros.
For heroes below 50 (well, above 29, but that shouldn't matter when you're going to Cimerora, which is 35+), start Mercedes Sheldon's arc. Teleport to Contact. BING! There you are in the Midnighter Club! Just quit the team once you arrive, and head on through that Pillar of Ice and Flame!
Villains have to wait until 39 in order to Flashback her arc, because the devs hate villains. But once over 39, you can do the same thing!
For Heroes and Villains at level 50, start Daedalus' or Sister Airlia's Arc and the Teleport to Contact! BING! Directly in Cimrora. Quit team.
Ta da!
If you know which contacts are where, and have access to them, this can actually be used to get to a specific part of a zone too. I like starting To Save a Thousand Worlds so I can get directly to Portal Court instead of exiting to Peregrine and traveling there
I'm only ladylike when compared to my sister.

Hum... Not that sure about a Libray Pass but I certainly would like some way to get to Cimerora through teleport. I´ve been trying too get Daedalus arc for that.
I don´t mind the walk, actually I could really "Walk" (toggle power) all the distance there. What bothers me are the loading screens. Whoever have played with me on Justice might now how I HATE loading screens... It takes forever from one loading screen to another. Most of the times I try logging the first time I won´t be able because game freezes on loading screen and then I´m back to password...
My computer is not that modern or powerful, and I couldn´t even figure out what I have to update so the game works better, so until I get a completely new comp (what won´t help any time soon) I´m stuck to the game as it is...
So, well, I would appreciate a TP to Cimerora... That would turn at least 4 loading screens into just one. But that´s me...

[wherever you are] -> Steel Canyon Wentworths/Cap au Diable Black Market -> Midnighter Club -> Cimerora. Three loading screens. If you are already in Steel, Croatoa, Founders, or Cap au, two loading screens.
[wherever you are] -> Ouroboros -> Flashback to Cimerora contact, Ouro Crystal to Cimerora Contact, Quit flashback. Two loading screens. Since Ouro is a common travel hub, you may already be in there, making it one loading screen.
---
If you're "doin it rong", then yeah, you might see four or five or six loading screens. That's not the game's fault, though. Use what's available and you cut down on a lot of your loading. Then you don't have to whine and cry about loading screens.
Also, if your loading screen time is long and extensive, upgrade your RAM.

Well, I´m not crying and whining but whatever...
Thanks for the tips.

I normally get out my mobile, reverse the polartiy so I can call through time to Marcus (? the repeatable mission guy) in Cimerora, grab a timed one and use mission teleporter to get to Cimerora in a single load screen
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
So I understand that we can't TP directly to Cimerora,.. how about a library pass (a teleportation power that allows you to choose which university to go to "steel" "founders falls" "croatoa" and "Cap" (villains)) so we can get to the doorstep of the University that alone would be a shorter distance for us to get to Midnighters club >> Cimerora since all the Midniters club's are in front of a university in every zone
Also for people without SG's (some do not want to be one) they can have a way to get to a place with Invention worktables and not have to travel cross country for it.
Just a thought.
