are there "alpha classes"
so again i've been away from the game for a while and wondrred if there's alpha classes in this game also what are an arcanos widow, an arcanos soldier, and a warshade?

Do you mean something like World of Warcraft's Death Knight were you start at a higher level than everybody else and are automagically more powerful?
No. You'll need to look at other games for something like that.
***
Now, City of Heroes does have Epic archtypes, such as the Arachnos player characters, and the Kheldians. However, the word Challenge is better used than Epic. On the hero side of the game, the Epic Classes start the players out with ambushes, enemies that can two shot a player, or mez a player till the player is defeated. The Villain Epic classes lack such challenges, but instead feature a career style leveling path where they can pick what they want to be at high levels.
A. No "alpha classes"
B. Villain Epic archetype, can branch into Night Widow or Fortunata
C. Villain Epic archetype, can branch into Crab Spider or Bane Spider
D. Heroic Epic Archetype, has three possible forms
Arachnos is the word that might help you in a search. Welcome back. All epic archetypes require a single alt to reach 50 to unlock per faction.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.
"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

Not sure about Alpha classes - different ATs do different things in my opinion so there isn't always a direct comparison, and then within an AT different power combos produce different results.
As for what the Arachnos Soldier, Arachnos Widow and Warshade are, they are unlockable "epic archtypes". For the Arachnos Soldier and Widow (collectively known as Soldiers of Arachnos) you unlock them by getting a villain to level 50 and a Warshade (and Peacebringer, collectively known as Kheldians) by getting a hero to level 50.
They aren't necessarily better than other ATs but are a bit more complicated and have a team focus to them.
Best place to get all the information on them is following these links:

EDIT - Welcome back btw
Although if you're talking about an 'alpha strike' which is the first attack that an enemy group launches all at once, then you're probably looking at the tanker.
Built tough, to take whatever the enemy can dish out.
Or if you're talking about a character that can MAKE the 'alpha strike'; that first, massively damaging attack, then you're looking at the blaster.

There aren't any ATs that stand head and shoulders over their counterparts in all respects, but certain combinations of powersets excel strongly in specialized areas. Fire/Kin controllers and Archery/MM blasters for AoE damage, Ill/Rad controllers for soloing single hard targets, assorted combos of SS/Shield/Fire for melees, etc.
One AT being significantly better than all the other ones, that you have to unlock? That sounds terrible.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. In CoX we're all minions no matter how good our powersets are. We may be able to solo AV's/Heroes with certain AT's, but we'll always Con as minions.

Well, it could be argued that a purpled out min/maxed toon is a kindof "manufactured" alpha class.
I guess it depends on what you expect an alpha class to do.
I have nothing to add, I just wanted to note that I initially misread this subject line as "are there 'aloha classes'", and I was momentarily going to come in and be bitter that we can't even get the PPD Undercover's aloha shirt.
Any character I make is an "Alpha Class"!
What?

This is a great place to ask any specific questions. The forum regulars tend to compete as to who can answer your question first.
EDIT ADDED:
The Kheldians and Soldiers both offer the build challenge of specialization versus generalization. They both have build options which either limit or restrict the utility of other powers.
Soldiers must choose a path at 24 which completely removes the ability to take powers from the other path. Dual builds (great feature!) gets around this somewhat.
Kheldians can take 2 alternate forms, which have their own array of powers, but cannot use any other powers in that form.
They both have exclusive story arcs and contacts. Non Kheldians/Soldiers can participate in your missions, but they can't get the contacts.
Only Kheldians have specific enemies that show up in their missions that are very dangerous to them. Kheldians can also spawn "Cysts" in large teams, which can be dangerous for everyone.
In my opinion, neither are "uber." Also in my opinion, Kheldians are slightly harder to use effectively than the average hero. Soliders of Arachnos tend to be great force multipliers, but can still solo reasonably well.
www.paragonwiki.com is a great source of information for this game.

basically I have been gone for a bit, and came back my cousin was using my account while I was away and there's a bunch of toons on here, 3 of them are the classes I listed, when I left those 2 arcanos ones were not around yet. so I wondered were they added? or were they like the jedi class pre cu in swg where they are the alpha class meaning a bit more powerful then the regular 5 classes for villians and heroes?
sorry I know these questions are a bit dumb, but I am trying to catch back up in a game I have not played in a long time.

VEATs aren't necessarily more powerful than the base ATs. They're different though. For instance, all of the types you can make have buffs for teammates. They're flexible ATs -- in fact, each one can branch into two different paths. Soldiers can become either Bane Spiders or Crab Spiders. Widows can become either Night Widows or Fortunatas.
A Night Widow is somewhat like a Claws/SR Scrapper or Stalker, with buffs for their teammates. They have access to a few ranged attacks including some psi, as well as a few utility powers like Smoke Grenade.
A Fortunata is somewhat like a psi Dominator with SR as a secondary. They have a decent variety of psi attacks and mezzes, and have some of the same abilities that Night Widows have, including the same team buffs.
Crab Spiders focus on the backpack they have which gives them some nice ranged attacks, with an emphasis on AoE attacks. They still have access to rifle attacks, which Banes maintain as well. They also have a couple pet powers, and some people make "Mastermind" builds that rely on having a bunch of pets. Crabs have pretty high self-defense compared to the others, which I'd say is like a mini-Invuln, since it has moderate RES, as well as the DEF they all have, plus a power that acts like Dull Pain.
Bane Spiders are somewhat like a Mace Stalker. They use their maces to deal high damage burst attacks, and have a mini-assassin strike type power. They have more HP than the others through a passive, as well as some useful powers like a RES/DEF debuff and a hold. Some people also use Banes and focus on the rifle attacks rather than maces and play them as "Huntsman" builds, which is like a pseudo fifth build for VEATs.
If you want to learn more about VEATs, try checking the VEAT forums, or the wiki!

Agreed. We're all minions, but some of us are are like numbers 21 and 24. That rare blend of expendable and invulnerable that makes for a better henchman.
