Help Me Understand Something About Drops

I know that you have a higher chance of getting a drop based on the enemies difficulty. The thing I dont understand is this...
I kill someone and I could get an inspiration, an enhancement, a piece of salvage, or a recipe.
If my inspirations are full but the other 3 possibilities aren't, does that mean I can only get the other 3, or does it mean that an inspiration could still drop but it just bounces off?
Basically what I want to know is to get the max drops, rather they are of little worth like an inspiration, or of huge worth like a purple... does everything need to be open? Or does like I said it bounce off into oblivion... or even convert into something else.

To put it simply and not be redundantly asking the same question... something drops and I have a 1in4 chance of it being an insp, enhanc, salv, recipe. 4 categories. So like I said if inspirations are full then does it become a 1in3 shot of getting one of the other? Of course I am not factoring in the higher percentage of difficulty to get a specific item.. I am just talking the category.

Anyone get what I mean? I just want to know am I loosing reward if one category is full but the rest arent.

Thanks,
Bizz

Sorta. The chance of a drop is the same regardless of whether the enemy is green or purple. But a boss has a greater chance of drops than a lieut which has a greater chance of drops than a minion. Of course, if there's a level involved (like a recipe), then a green enemy is going to drop a lower level item than a purple enemy.

To be clear, you could get an inspiration, an enhancement, a salvage, and a recipe, all in one kill.

You can still get one or more of the other three. There is still a chance that an inspiration will drop, but because your tray is full, it will get discarded.

Only what you want needs to be open. If you don't care about inspirations and it fills, it will not affect the chance of something else dropping.

Nope, the chance of any of those drops are separate.

Of course, I could be completely wrong about any of this, and I'm sure someone will correct me if so.

StarGeek's on track!

When you defeat a foe there are several random rolls on several reward tables that happen *if* the foe 'cons' green to you or better. (See the Wiki on 'conning'.) Even though for some grey foes a few levels under you will still give some XP, they won't drop any 'loot' if they con grey.

If the foe cons green or better, then its level doesn't effect the reward roll. A minion two levels under you has the same chance to drop the same loot as if that minion were two level higher than you.

While level doesn't matter (if they're green or higher), *rank* does. A lieutenant has a greater chance to drop loot than a minion. A boss more so than a lieutenant.

If your not eligible for one of those tables (for example, your inspiration tray is full), you'll still get a chance to roll on all the other tables.

How many reward tables are rolled on a single foe defeat? At least as many as five.

I want to say that Pool E drops (costume [& temp powers, possibly]) are a separate drop again, so minions could drop an extra recipe.

You can indeed, wiki page on the quinfecta. It was briefly possible to get a six-way drop, then they removed base salvage. Possibly still could happen with special insp drops (they're a separate roll), but no one's done any testing or record keeping that I know of.

No, you're right. I can say this from experience. Once I get a good assortment of inspirations, I can go for multiple missions with the tray full (on my /regen, I usually close the tray completely). I still get the other drops.

So having one reward table full does not increase/decrease the potential of another reward table because the other table still drops based on another formula. So for instance having everything full but salvage doesnt increase salvage.. the chance is still the same.. you just cant get anything else BUT salvage because all else is full. Correct? If so then I understand the aspect about drops I wanted to understand.
Thanks for your time,
