I would be happy enough as long as I24 gets a release and I can still play the game, for at least 1 year more.

Been after this game for years, while it was in development...
After what NCSoft did to my game, not sure if I could try it out.
Maybe I will be retired from MMOs when CoH is gone.

To the OP... Im 31, and wanted to play the game to enjoy the last months but I cant...
Makes me so sad and depressed, and I feel bad because I want to play it while I can but it breaks my heart to do it...

I just dont want to keep my hopes too high, because the bad news affected me in a bad way... I always loved CoH but never thought a closing of the game would make me feel sad like I do. Im really sad and unmotivated! But...

I guess we have to keep fighting some more for Paragon!

I havent seen those powers till now.
I knew Psionic melee, Radiation armor/melee was coming and the origins pools also but, those are tons of new powers and powersets.
Kay, now Im officially depressed AGAIN.

If I really think about it I think CoH is doomed.
Not beign sold to another publisher, no code released, and of course will be off 30 of november as we've been told.

But Im amazed, this community is so awesome that at least I think Paragon studios staff would keep a good memory about the game and its community of truly heroes.

That would be awesome.
I mean, CoH didnt have this press coverage in years.
Not even with GR, not even with the F2P conversion.
We are getting spotlight.
Wish NCSoft take this as a marketing oportunity and give us another try or decide to sell the IP to a proper publisher.
Then if I24 ever going live, its going to really stand for its tittle.

Im still worried because in case we could set a server for players without NC Soft, I24 updates never made it so...
We still missing those awesome updates we were looking for since forever, at least me.
I24 was full of my wishlist: blaster buffs, T9 crashless nukes, Martial arts secondary, Pool customization, Sorcery pool, Upgraded tights, Staff weapon pack...

Oh yeah all that.
I24 was full of my wishlist suggestions, so you can imagine how I feel with this.

I played CO beta, then stuck there for some moths.
I guess Ill give it a try... Its not bad. They have nice stuff. Costume creator, some fun missions, nemesis, cool powers, and those power houses.
It just feel different. Combat system is clunky. You end up using the same 1 or 2 AoE powers to defeat everything. No attack chains over there. They should work on that a bit, maybe give some powers some recharge time.

It doesnt feel like CoX. Doesnt feel like HOME

This still sounds to me like a desesperate action from NCSoft.
Just shutting down, firing everyone off and kicking devs and players out of home.
There was no organization, no talks to the studio to see what could be done, or in case the decision is definitive, no way we can know what happens to our Paragon points and suscriptions.

To me, NCSoft is gone for good. Dont forget what goes around, comes around. And I think NCSoft is going to suffer loss because of the way they handle this.

I was not able to log in the game since friday.
Im too sad for that.
I just hope they can keep the IP and go as an indie studio till they look for a worthy company.
So much good stuff was coming to just surrender. And they were also working in another MMO.

Development takes a lot of time.
But sometimes I felt like some stuff was more than ready in beta and devs took their time to give themselves some time.
Like keeping Staff fighting to give melee powersets "some break".
Wonder if the game would made more money if they followed the next monthly formula (like first Freedom months):
1 week: powerset
1 week: costume set
1 week: SSA arc
1 week: IOs, travel power, vanity pet, etc...

I've seen few weak months in the last spring/summer when it comes to market releases (IOs, dogs, tigers, lions)...
Maybe they should put all the big guns out in first place, instead holding some for a later date (that will never come, like now)?
Maybe is too late for this discussion, and my hopes of CoH keeping alive are vanishing now, I've been in denial since the sad announcement...

Oh yes its the enemy.
At least it is to me. Will not give them my money, not even for Blade & Soul (been waiting that game for YEARS) if they ever get to release that for NA/EU.

I tried to be calm, and think they gave Paragon 2 big chances to reinvent the game:
Going Rogue and Freedom F2P.
It looks like neither of them met their expectations.
I dont care.
I still hate NCSoft for shutting down my game.

Yeah, the new powersets, the fixes, the whole I24, new costumes...
This game has improved a lot, but it was in its best shape when NCSoft killed it.
It's so sad.
I would understand the shutting off if servers merged, and we didnt had any update coming, but the game was only getting better...
This sucks, men.

I cant delete them. I will keep hope this game kicks some more...

I just want to keep playing this game the way we doing it.
I would love if they get the whole Paragon back!
But I dont care who is the publisher, as long as we keep our game alive.
