For those considering a move to Champions Online

Hello, Virtue! This post is for those that may be considering migrating their characters to CO in the near future, have already done so, or will be making a fresh start. I play Rezz, 50 SS/invuln brute and have played him and only him for 6 glorious years, 4 of which took place on Virtue. Many of you have seen me in-game recently, talking with people and answering question about CO. Myself and a few good friends of mine run Champions Online RolePlayers, or CORP, the RP community over in CO that has been around since launch, and we want to help.

I've made many great friends here on Virtue. Some of which I now consider to be extremely close, some of which I've even managed to meet outside of the game. Virtue has given me some of my greatest video game memories, and there will never be another game like it. I know a lot of you. This server has some of the greatest people and characters I've ever seen, and I don't want to see them fade into obscurity. I want to help give them a place to live on and continue their stories, and I am not alone.

CORP is a thriving, active RP community of Roleplayers, many of us long time CoX players. Our forums are active, with IC and OOC channels in game with active moderators, and I fund CORPs vent server, for you social butterflies with a lot to say.

I'd like to extend an invitation to check us out at http://championsonlineroleplayers.shivtr.com/ if you plan on making the switch. I'm also more than willing to answer any questions you may have about the community and what we're all about, even what you can expect from the game, itself. While I definitely don't know everything, I'll do what I can.

I understand that CO isn't to every bodies taste, and I respect that... But if you feel the need to yell and scream about how much you hate CO, CORP, myself or the others who help run it, that's fine, but this is not the place to vent your frustrations :P You can always NOT play CO and play whatever MMO you choose. Remember, it's okay to not like things, just don't be a dick about it, please.

Anyway, before I start to ramble again, I'd like to close by saying that we'd love to have you all join us I'll provide my contact information below, but feel free to post here if you see fit and I'll do my best to answer what I can. Look forward to seeing the lot of you in CO!

You need to go to the Power Center, not far from where you came out. Its there in the same area, you should have a mission to head there.

Been hangin' with the CORP people for a bit now, on and off, and they're a fun group. Though I've been struck with a case of The Shys and have a hard time working myself into any actual RP stuff. But it's been that way for me in CoH too for a while now, sooo oh well.

But if you're looking for a place where you can keep being a superhero after CoH is gone, and CO fits your gameplay preferences, CORP is good people. And the freeform system for building characters lets you do some crazy, interesting things.

(also I'm @kelpplankton over in CO too, if anyone who remembers me from CoH wants to shoot me a friend invite there)

Yeah, about 3 or so years ago, which as far as I know have been resolved. Check into things a bit more, Mondo, before you start shooting people down who are trying to be helpful.

Yeah, I've found the CORP and the CO community very helpful and welcoming, if a bit chatty. Who's idea was it to give you the chat of every single instance of that zone? The chat box goes nuts.

Hahaha, yeah, the OOC channel can get VERY chatty... That's why I just created a new chat tab specifically for CORP and Zone chat. The IC channel stays in my main chat window, though.

yeaaaah, first thing to do in CO is ALWAYS organize and parse out chat tabs so you dont get overwhelmed. it helps a TON

I played CO beta, then stuck there for some moths.
I guess Ill give it a try... Its not bad. They have nice stuff. Costume creator, some fun missions, nemesis, cool powers, and those power houses.
It just feel different. Combat system is clunky. You end up using the same 1 or 2 AoE powers to defeat everything. No attack chains over there. They should work on that a bit, maybe give some powers some recharge time.

It doesnt feel like CoX. Doesnt feel like HOME
