The people in CB can't release screenshots of anything in CB to the public. There's not a whole lot of time until I18 and GR releases, though, so it won't be a terribly long wait until you get to see them.

To my understanding, you could easily achieve perma Rage with 3 recharge SOs, making avoiding the crash an incredibly easy task. Perma Dom, on the other hand, requires a hefty amount of +Rech from IOs or outside buffs, and the power itself isn't slottable at all.
Domination used to give a damage bonus, but now that that's been spread out across the secondaries as buffs and removed, I don't think Perma Dom is as OP as it used to be. For sets like Ice and Gravity, Domintation is basically an end refill and status protection, since their main controls aren't boosted by it.
I think we're fine. But I'm not going to ragequit if they suddenly think it needs nerfed. Even though it won't last twice as long, having my ST hold recharge in 3 seconds(or less) is really nice. -
There's not really a secondary that goes against what Mind. I know Mind/Fire is a terror to behold, especially when it's at high recharge(which I think is easier to get with Mind than any other control set).
-
I only spent ~100 mil on getting my Dom 72% recharge using cheapo recipes and LoTGs bought with merits. If you don't like SFs or don't have time for them, then getting a cheap permadom will be considerably harder.
You can also consider buying one of the stupid cheap purple sets(namely, sleep). If they're too much on redside(likely), then you can buy them blueside and wait for GR so you can gleemail them to your Dom, or just wait until GR to buy them on the merged market.
I think I spent ~30 mil on the sleep and confuse sets combined the other day on blueside, and that was with using BUY IT NOW bids. -

Triumph will be dead then, we have soo many long term vets.
Also, since Triumph is so dead, I went and made a lowbie on Freedom. Lag city once I got in, and took broadcast off once it ended. Decided to join a teams after getting to level 4. Most teams would invite 8 members and then sit around and ask "Now what?" And the ones that knew what to do next couldn't do missions for ****.
And Tam said all the Virtue guys wanted to do was RP.

Quote:To appeal to players who don't care whether their power takes 5 years to activate or not, probably. Speaking for my own server, there are a lot of them. Why have the devs suddenly decided, "HEY GUYS, LETS GIVE POWERSETS LONG ANIMATION TIMES." Pistols AND Kinetic melee? Really Devs?
They also probably want to make the set thematic, otherwise they'd get complaints about how ugly it is. -
I'll be making a lot of Doms once the expansion releases.
There's going to be a massive amount of people starting in Praetoria the first week or so, so I'm going to join the huge amount of teams forming and soak up the exp while the getting's good. I really only get attracted to my Doms after their early twenties, at which point they're asfgjdfjgkl awesome.
There are a few Doms that I've been wanting to make for a while, Mind/Fire especially, but low level Redside keeps me away. -
I'd think they'd swap out Spectral Wounds and Group Invis(and maybe Superior Invis too) for something that would be more beneficial to the AT. Doms already have plenty of attacks, so they don't need another in their primary.
As long as PA isn't the only control that's reliable in the set, I wouldn't have a problem with making it unaffected by recharge bonuses. Maybe they could make Spectral Terror effected by Domination also? Maybe give it the same tech that they gave the Warshade fluffies, and have all the buffs transfer over to it when it's summoned?
Though, problem is, I can't think of any other controls that would fit the Illusion concept. -
Plant is the safest control set in the game*, IMO. Confusing a whole mob is hot, as is having vines that can take most of the aggro for you. But I don't really play control much.
Like always, fire is pretty much the set to go for if you want nice AoE and damage.
*For Dominators -
Control sets? They're kind of support, aren't they?

Subjective:
Costume parts are just incredible. Especially the glowing eyes face. The power is also pretty nifty.
Definitely sold on this one. -
After using the new market for a couple of weeks, I'm pretty cool with it. Only thing I can complain about is how the market will sometimes select one of my already stored items when I store something new in the market.

I'd say a something/Willpower Scrapper(or Brute, if you want to make a villain). At 16, Willpower gets an incredibly good survival power, and it only gets better.
Blasters are also relatively easy, but during their late 20's and 30's it can get rough.
Another important thing to remember to avoid getting eaten alive by experienced players: In this game, you do not need a healer to do well on anything. Don't get me wrong, Empath defenders and controllers are pretty cool and you should get one every opportunity you can get, but they're not needed for teams to survive. -

Quote:Perma Doms have held AVs through the PToD and soloed them. And lets not forget the Purple triangles. Do they still exist ? Lol probably. If so how do you do with them on your target ? Does that new damage help you any ? I doubt it cause the AT is so fragile and helpless without controls.

Quote:I have no idea, but if it is, that would be awesome.Im recently back from a year hiatus, but cant you set up a macro for either hasten or Dom to trigger when you move forward? I have one set up like that for TD on my Arch/Dev and anytime I move, if TG is not up, it triggers its activation. Is that possible for Hasten or Dom?
-
Quote:Well, you can put one of these on auto to minimize your worries. Personally, I find it easier to keep an eye on Domination more than Hasten. Can't explain why, though. Maybe because I've been used to Hasten being on auto for all my characters for 5 years?I am worried about having to stare at my skillbar to make sure I hit HASTEN the instant its ready as well as DOMINATION.
Sadly, you're probably going to have to keep an eye on one or the other if you're not cramming massive recharge into your build.
Also, my planned build has about 81.3% recharge(151.3 with hasten). Is that enough for me to have a few seconds to reactivate Domination, or should I get 2 more Crushing Impacts so I can have 91.3%? -
Actually, Plant is a two trick pony. You probably hear about Seeds the most-which is justified, since it's just woahgreat-but Carrion Creepers is equally incredible. I've saved myself and others(but mostly myself) countless times because I used Creepers to grab an accidentally aggroed mobs' attention.
If you like being in the critters' faces, I'm gonna agree with going for Earth Assault. It's really melee heavy, and meshes really well with Plant, since it allows you to safely sit in the middle of mobs.
If you're still wanting /Fire, though, I've heard Plant/Fire is a good one, as well as Mind/Fire and Earth/Fire. -
I love Doms like nobody's business, but I hate leveling them in the Isles with a burning passion.
When GR comes around, I'll be making a lot more Doms, and probably Corrs too. -
Currently playing a Plant/Earth now, actually. Ever since 23 or so I've been running at +0 x3/x4 with minimal problems.
Worst thing about this is that it puts quite the smack down on your blue bar if you go into SMASH SMASH SMASH mode. But you have Domination to help you with that.
I'm having a blast with it, it's probably my 2nd favorite toon to play.
Also, Creepers+the massive KD from Earth Assault is incredible. I wouldn't advise you to take the immobs, since KD is a huuuuge part of your survival. -
Quote:Just any fun team content, I'd guess. 2 weeks ago, we plowed through the Dark Mirror arcs. What level are you guys currently? I have a Fire/Rad that is level 11 so it is probably a little low. Also, how long do you usually play for? Do you just do TFs/Trials or missions too?
Thanks!
MT
And I will be able to team tonight. Hooray! -
Not sure how long I'll be able to play tonight. A Posi sounds great, mine's too low to do anything else.
