Can't decide between some domi sets...

I'm stuck between either mind and plant for my primaries, and psi assault, thorns, or earth for my secondary. I was thinking that plant/earth would be a pretty good combo, especially with power boost, although I was wondering how bad the -kb from plant would mesh with earth assault.

I'm just looking for something really fun. I was also pondering mind/earth.

Any suggestions? Most likely I'll just be going for a permadom build...

Doms have very little reason to take the AoE root. We aren't Controllers relying on Containment for our damage.

Plant has good aoe soft control fairly early on (thank you seeds of confusion).Since Earth Assault requires you be in Melee frequently, seeds are a godsend. Starting off every fight with power boost and seeds seems like a no-brainer.

Also, Seismic Smash stacks with your ST hold, so you will be stacking holds very quickly. You will be able perm hold bosses pretty easily. Also, Earth Assault has pretty good ranged AoE in Fissure.

All in all not a bad build. It's pretty hard to go wrong with it. Unless you skip any of the above mentioned powers. And that's not even mentioning the tanking powers of Carrion Creepers, the true pet of the set.

Currently playing a Plant/Earth now, actually. Ever since 23 or so I've been running at +0 x3/x4 with minimal problems.

Worst thing about this is that it puts quite the smack down on your blue bar if you go into SMASH SMASH SMASH mode. But you have Domination to help you with that.

I'm having a blast with it, it's probably my 2nd favorite toon to play.

Also, Creepers+the massive KD from Earth Assault is incredible. I wouldn't advise you to take the immobs, since KD is a huuuuge part of your survival.

I've been playing a plant/earth for a few days now and I've never, in the 4 or so years I've been playing, played a character that was so powerful so early on. By level.. 12 or so you'll be able to totally shift the tide in every battle in a ridiculous way. Seeds is THAT good. It's amazing. It's a game changer. It turns every spawn into a useless sack of HP. Level 19 now with seeds six slotted 3acc/3rech level 20 common IOs and it's up every spawn. Power Boosted and Domination up and Seeds will last for 88 seconds. Longer than it takes to recharge.

As far as Earth, I've only got the first 2 attacks, tremor, and power boost so far. It's pretty good, but to be honest, seeds totally steals the show. Who needs a secondary?

Imagine being a corr and getting Fulcrum Shift at level 8. Or Shield Charge, or Foot Stomp, or Rain of Arrows. Imagine having access to those powers at level 8. Seeds is THAT good.

Further support for plant/earth. While plant is wonderful with anything, the only set I'd play /earth with is plant because it will clump spawns so you can use the tiny aoe's better and you really need nothing aside from seeds so you get to fully experience all the smash and knock effects of earth.
