All Servers' Vigil: Monday, September 3rd in Atlas Park

Folks,

In the name of everything Paragon Studios has done for us, for what City of Heroes has done for us and for what we have all done for each other over these great many years, may I please ask a big favor?

This Monday, September 3rd @ 8pm ET/5pm PT, can I ask EVERYONE to gather together in Atlas Park beneath the big globe, ON ALL AVAILABLE SERVERS and assume the "/em Lotus" position and enjoy a moment of silence as we gather together as a sign of peaceful protest and to pay homage to the greatest superhero MMO game ever made!


Please, spread the word. Even to your friends on Facebook and Twitter who remember the game fondly but haven't logged in for years. Monday night is the time for everyone to log in once -JUST ONCE - and make their heartfelt presence known in a show of solidarity in love. And who knows? With any luck, folks will take screenshots; various media outlets will run those photos in their feeds on Tuesday morning and everyone across the world can see how many of us were truly moved to care and just BE THERE for the developers and their game when they really needed us...

A show of solidarity on EVERYONE's part will speak volumes. Help spread the word - and please say you'll come, whatever server you play on...

Why do I say half there? Because at that time I will be starting up my regular Monday Night trivia and DJing session as DJ_Timelord_Tom @ the Temporal Museum on Utherverse/Red Light District (18+ only) until 11PM ET.

Any one who would care to stop by that party afterwards please feel free (again, must be 18+... if you know Utherverse/Red Light Distric, you know why... if not, just do a google.) There is a special topic this evening (one of five) which any CoH player should have an easy time with.

When the show is done, I will probably be heading back to CoH to play an hour or so before going to bed.

If I can make it, I'll be there as Little David on Guardian.

I really want to record this if a lot of people turn out for it, but I think my video card is going to cause my system to lock up or freeze within the first 10 minutes of being there. (I've not been able to reliably play any 3D games since June 5th, my video card has been giving me system lockups and BSoDs when I try ... but that's another matter).

Are /demorecords still viable even if the system crashes or locks up in the middle of a recording?

Dynamo Jr. will be there on Virtue. Possibly Moonsun as well.

Dang now to decide whether to take Retail Retali8r out of the Hive, or plop Winter's True Spirit on this. I think WTS.

Crowd's forming on Pinnacle.

Under the statue now and calling out for it on LFG and Help channels. Starting to gather a crowd. Plus we have the protesters on the steps of City Hall here on Champion.

In Atlas now on Pinnacle with Lady Nora.

In AP1,Freedom server now,many here but would be nice if even more were here.

I took about 7 minutes of video looking through people's costumes and profiles on Virtue. I did it in HD so that the text would come through properly. Fraps split it up into multiple parts because of the massive file size, but it'll be worth it when I look back a year from now.

Samuraiko, if AP1 fills up on Virtue, send me a tell (@Megajoule) and I'll see what I can do to free a spot for you to get that too.

The White Comet (Pinnacle, my 1st L50) may not be logged in, but I will be there in spirit.
