I just want to say that I met CuppaJo through these forums, we actually built a good friendship thanks to City of Heroes, good enough that Cuppa was a groomsman at my wedding in 2009.
I've met a lot of great people here and while I've been gone quite some time and just recently returned, no MMO has ever given me the countless hours of fun and a better community experience than City of Heroes.
Today was a shock and a heartbreak. I had never even considered that CoH could be one of the games we'd loose. Hell if Everquest can continue on why couldn't CoH? At least that's what I thought.

Heh. I was on one of her teams during those events on Beta where she faceplanted over and over. Nice to hear from her again.
... I still have the Lego Cuppajo that I made years back, I never *actually* got around to sending it to her. :/

Christ, this feels like a memorial service. Happily brought together for the saddest of circumstances.
I have managed to hold it together all day... misty eyed a few times. But reading this did it.
I miss those days when Cuppa was around.

Glad to hear from CuppaJo. I remember finding him managing the Tabula Rasa forum during beta and catching up on things. I remember when he had my back when another poster on this forum was net stalking me.
I also remember making his blaster faceplant during a test server event.

Hey folks, I'm good friends with CuppaJo and I was asked to repost this from Cuppa's Facebook feed:
I remember being there at your birth. Crowded in a room full of developers, watching someone push 'the button' and spinning up your world. Watching and waiting as you stumbled, new, tripping over your freshly minted powers, patrolling the streets of the city.
Dancing with you at the PDP, surrounded by others dressed like giant carrots, or martinis for a costume contest. Face-planting after you killed me on the test server at an event. Over and over and over. Deleting your quote pyramids, closing your necro-posts. Over and over and over.
We repelled alien invasions, killed hoards of nazis (what? THEY WERE NAZIS!), fried freakshow, making so many friends along the way. We flew in formation. Called Taxi-bots. Watched fellow heroes get married. We argued over patch notes, played forum games, bought beers for each other at player meet and greets. It was all so much fun.
It's just a game, some say. It wasn't, wait, it isn't just a game to me. You will always be more to me, my heroes. I am a better person for knowing you.
