Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 is where the pvp'ers went.

I had some fun on Guild Wars 1 but at level 20 got bored fast. I crave COX going onto a public server that test toons to be transferred.

But it may be worth checking out.

If NCSoft thinks they can get me to try their new shiny by taking my favorite shiny away, they can all go sit on a fork and rotate.

Yeah I agree, screw GW2 and NCsoft! CoH'ers rise up and fight!

What do you say?

LOL NC Soft. Unless they do COH2, they most likely will never see another penny from me for life.

My superhero's is what I want. Not to be Batman's funky or some cell shaded punk, I want my City of Heroes period.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

As I said elsewhere, unless they use the same devs to make CoH2, I wouldn't touch it. They threw all of Paragon Studios under the bus without any warning (and you can't tell me there wasn't... I24 has been at full steam in community and development work).

I was probably going to try Guild Wars 2, to be honest. Just to keep CoH fresh. But now? Not going to touch it in years, if ever. I don't care how good it is. I've been trying out The Old Republic Online a bit for the "free to 15" perk, and I may go there once CoH is gone. It's the only thing that feels as iconic to me, as STO and LOTRO just feel weird to me after playing them for free for a bit. And the other superhero games? Not even close to as good.

My thoughts exactly. There is Champions Online, but that game is so poorly done it isn't even funny.

+1 on "This!", and what Darth said too.

Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012

I admit to laughing at this line.

But there is no friggin' way I'm ever playing GW2. I wasn't planning to before--maybe when it got cheaper in the future, but I don't like PVP in gear/loot-based games--but now I'm actively avoiding it and all other NCSoft games.

I was considering GW2 but now, eh - screw NCSoft.

I am wondering what they'll hand out for the paid-up subs though. I think I was paid up to mid-2013 as VIP. :-(

Was teaming with a few people over the weekend and heard a couple accounts of freshly-renewed yearly subscriptions ranging from a month prior to Thursday night. On more than one occasion it was for more than 1 account.

As much as I love this game, I could never see myself doing that personally. There was always the idea lurking in the back that it could just go away. I did think there would have been more time given, but still.

I hope they do something for those people. Yes, even the Brit.

I bought the 12+2 months free deal the last two Decembers, plus a few extra free months for various reasons and I was pushing mid next year.

Although, honestly, that money is gone. I spent it 9 months ago. I think they *should* give out something to those of us with paid up subs, but it's not like I'll be crying about it if they don't. Compared to the game going away, a bit of cash is nothing*.

* Mental spent much more on Booster Packs than I ever did on subs.

Those are exactly my sentimonies.

"Sentimonies" is a perfectly cromulent word.

Arc# 92382 -- "The S.P.I.D.E.R. and the Tyrant" -- Ninjas! Robots! Praetorians! It's totally epic! Play it now!

Arc # 316340 -- "Husk" -- Azuria loses something, a young woman harbors a dark secret, and the fate of the world is in your hands.

I considered it money well spent, but I never thought the game would be gone so soon or so suddenly.
