To be fair there seems to have been a number of things Sexy Jay wasn't fond of besides furries.

The last con i went to there were a bunch of furry enthusiasts i met who were really cool and talented, and then there was the panel that was supposedly about furry support and pride, but there wasn't any real structure or purpose and many of the most vocal participants (some of whom were also running the panel or being encouraged by those running the panel) basically reinforced every single negative stereotype. Some really awesome furry costumes at the con anyway. (The Homestuck horde was more impressive. Actually, lots of good costumes in general.)

I'M GAY- Oh, wait. Wrong thread for that confession.

Edit: I also want to clarify I'm not really gay. I support gay rights, even though i'm not gay... Or a lesbian. Oh, I also support lesbian rights too.

Actually i used to have some friends who were gay furries, they also played on furryMUCK IIRC. Xibexx in particular had a fascination with horses and unicorns. Wonder if he's a brony now, after all it's been years since i lost track of him.

I have a lot of friends who used to run Conifur up here in the Northwest. I attended Rainfurrest last year, it was a very fun con actually, much larger and better-run than Conifur ever was. I sat behind our Tai-Pan table most of the con. ^_^
Oh hey so do I! Though it's not all that big or.. well, you can see!

As a heads up, the entry itself is SFW. Nothing else linked in that article is.

Good.

You made the world o' CoH go round, even if nobody would admit.

This is the best thread yet. Really is.

I'm not a furry, though I am fond of Sapphic_Neko's avatar whenever I see her posting. D:

I'm a fan of anthropomorphic characters. I'm particularly a fan of dragons. I often like monstrous characters that are far from human - one of my favourite creations is The Grey Amoeba.

surprisingly for some, given my costume requests, i'm not. but i have seen some really well made costumes from the culture.

i do love the concept of monstrous characters though, particularly heroes. It always stuck me as the more believable extension of the x-men, who generally were hated and shunned, but looked like lingerie models. if you want a really believable story of someone who is hated and shunned, make them monstrous, and it also makes them being powerful more realistic. i also love the more "old legend" stories of people exhibiting various personality traits having some physical trait they shared with an animal that we traditionally associate with it. like a strong warrior having abear like trait, or a cunning fighter with wolves.

Yes, you could say I have a... slight penchant for anthropomorphic characters: Blue Rabbit, Red Rabbit, Purple Rabbit, Yellow Rabbit, Grey Rabbit, Black Rabbit, White-Rabbit (yes, hyphenated, someone got there first), Maroon Hare, Black Hare, Grey Hare, Purple Hare, Green Hare, Ultraviolet Hare, Viridescent Hare, Beige Platypus, Yellow Chinchilla, Grey Chinchilla, Gray Chinchilla and Black Chinchilla.

So... yeah.

PS - They don't do anything for my unmentionables though.

I am moderately, but mostly on the arts and crafts side. I like drawing animals, and a lot of folks have characters that are fun to draw. Also furries tend to be much nicer to do commissions for than some other communities. So yeah I'm that person preying on furry wallets I go to more anime cons than furry cons, but I do tables and go where I can enjoy myself and make some money. I make other cute stuff, chokers, and ears sometimes. I need to get back into crafting.
I've started developing a few characters just for fun but I don't see myself as them. I've idly thought about making costumes just for the fun and challenge but probably won't get around to it.
Though yeah I generally identify with a fox because of various reasons. I've been using this handle for a long time.

That debate has been going on since at least 1995. It shows no signs of being resolved any time soon.

My main character is a cat-man and my avatar is a fox.

But, no, I don't have any deeper facination with humanoid animals than thinking that they can look cool if they're well-done.

*laughs* This is how I mean.

Several of my toons are humanoid animals. I love writing with them, and no I don't mean anything nasty or erotica or something like that. I just like variety.

And cats.

My cats are convinced I am not a human, I'm a cat.

Some days, I agree with them

Would I dress up as one? On Halloween or for a costume party, sure. And does it count that my favorite visits to Disneyworld were when I had a hat with Tigger ears and a tail?

Do I have '*those* types of fantasies' with furries? Er, no.

Fun fact: At the time, I was friends with certain members of the Burned Fur movement. I was already starting to drift away from Furry things by then, though.

Sorry, had to be done.

I've still got a claws/wp brute werewolf.

Be well, people of CoH.

It's more devastating than the suits in NCSoft know.
If they were fur suits, we wouldn't even be in this situation.

As for your RP group, any attempt to set up a player created and run onlien sueprhero expeience if the worst happens on November 30th would be furry-friendly - inclusiveness is a major reason why CoH and its comunity are so special, so any spiritual successor would also be inclusive.
