The description of the new Incarnate arc sounds a bit greater good-ish

New intrepid informer up on Nature Affinity too. Wonder if we're getting that before Bio Armor

A teaser image has already shown Marauder in Atlas park - what his exact role is post-war remains to be seen

Are we really not going to escape the Agony Hall future?

Quote:
Do the new Kings Row and Brickstown story arcs replace the old issue 0 content?
My guess would be yes, as the post Striga story-telling style is based around the story of each zone, rather than just using it as a backdrop for mission doors, so the old KR and Brickstown content wouldn't fit with that style, or with the newer lore.

Quote:
Do they include any art revamps to the zones?
I think that there will be some geometry changes, even if it's just the trees.

Quote:
Are there really going to be 13 whole levels' worth of new content in King's Row, or is that just the minimum and maximum level range for the content?
It'll just be the level range.

Quote:
What even is a Zone Event, in this context? Something multi-phased like the Troll Rave event in Skyway City that everybody ignores?
This will be more like the Praetorian zone events, which are more dynamic.
The 2 new ones are likely to build on newer players' expectations following the Giant Shivan mini-event in the tutorial.

Quote:
Is the Coming Storm postponed to issue 25?
It's not been delayed - they said earlier this year that Battalion shows up in I25.

Quote:
And how many issues will it run?
They mentioned a while back that they'd been doing some vague planning as far ahead as I32 - although they didn't say what it was for.
But with the Cominh Storm being a major story arc, it's likely that they'll have planned out the key plot points and events of it well in advance, like they did with the Praetorian war storyline.

I'm bored to death with interdimensional and interplanetary invasion forces, and would love to know when is the earliest the story will do anything I find even minimally interesting.

No mention of the Nuke Change?

Other than that, looking great.

One change to KR that I'd like to see would be for the PPD HQ to become a mission hub like City Hall, with its own indoor map.

Out of this issue, I'm mainly VERY PLEASED to see that the derpy debt reduction values are being peeled off IOs ... at long last! And also VERY PLEASED to see new IO sets being added. I'm not a power player, and I'll often play without enhancements, or with mostly expired SOs or whatever, but I've got a lot of toons dinging 50 these days, and that's when I start to look at them and plan out slots and IO sets, so I'm happy to see that some of the longstanding problems in this aspect of the game are finally getting addressed.

I'm also glad to see the Martial Arts type additions to blaster and dom sets, though they're not quite what I envisioned and I'm struggling to find synergies. (I think I might go with dark/martial dom, and possibly beam/martial blaster, if redraw isn't a killer.)

I haven't ever been able to care for the Praetorian material, so on content this issue is another dud for me. I'm thankful we got tips missions a while back, because aside from the wonderful Summer Event we had and the occasional TF, that's all I do these days.

There was a hint of something big in Issue 9?

Silly. All of my Tankers have been gathering dust, because, well...Incarnate system + Brutes.

It was where the Battalion were first mentioned as a force that the Rikti had defeated.
The original intent was that the Battalion was going to be an enemy group so powerful that the new IO system was going to be required to defeat them - that changed when NCSoft bought the game and backed a dumper truck full of cash up outside the studio and asked the devs what they wanted to do with it.
The original Battalion plan was put on hold, and a huge transformation of the whole game was started instead, which eventually gave us an endgame system - and the Battalion idea was then repurposed to be a threat so dangerous that Incarnate powers would be needed to defeat them.

Now I'm just kinda hoping for CoT and 5th Column

I wonder if the BP lore pets will include a Ravager. I've always wanted a pet Ravager.

I don't think the CoT or 5th Column will show up unless they get incarnate level versions of themselves.

my daughter will be excited that we get to team with the Shining Stars again

overall it looks like a good caretaker issue, and I don't mean that as an insult. lots of good, solid fixes and some content that people may not be thrilled about but will still be enjoying for years.

Aw still no Psi Melee, I've been keeping my fingers crossed ever since it leaked!

Besides that, there is a fantastic amount of great content for look forward to! Roll on i24

There are Incarnate CoT in DA

Plus, plenty of Lore pet types don't have Incarnate versions - like Nemesis, Longbow or Cimerorans.

I *LIKE*!

Especially the whole Prison Break thing. I've always found it entertaining that the Prisoners have broken out, and what do they do? Stand around the place shouting about how glad they are to get out, and no way no how are they going back in...

Don't the 5th Column also appear in one DA mission as Incarnate? And they ARE linked to an Incarnate (Reichsman)

The Cimerorans are linked to Imperious.
Longbow is linked to Ms. Liberty, and by association, Statesman.

We don't know if Nemesis himself is, or is linked to, an Incarnate.

Sounds like lots of nice things. Disappointed that we'll have to wait to find out what the Tech Knight armor will look like... I guess I'll just have to start saving up my tokens for them now, just in case they're awesome.

It's because they've been in the Zig for so long that they don't know how to function out in normal society, and are actually afraid to actually leave... so they just stand at the edge, waiting to be taken back inside.

There doesn't have to be an Incarnate link for Lore pets

Phantoms and Robotic Drones aren't even a real faction
