I think this might possibly be the saddest week in the history of the market. I guess it's nice if you missed those bundles (though I'm still not sure why they were time limited in the first place), but basically nothing of note if you picked them up the first time round.

Have to check out if I can buy the Roman/Cupid's bow alone.

Just curious you do want us to actually spend our points right? That way we spend real money to get more points? Cause you sure aren't acting like you want us to use any of our points.

Going to go way out on a limb and say this is the reason they put them up again.

Look at it this way, if there's nothing that interests you this week, you'll still have your points to use next week. It's not like they expire.

Stop whining, please. They can't bust out a new powerset or costume pack every week. Not only that, if these items are gonna be in the market permanently now (since I'm not seeing a time limit on the forums, at least), then it's a very successful week IMO.

This. I was hoping for Super Packs this week but you have to know the marketing team is deliberately spacing releases as we lead up to i24. There's a certain amount of content they intend to release during that time and we will get ALL of it by the time we get there. I can wait.

Was a little disappointed to see Superpack 2 was added to the collect tab, but not appeared.

Issue with the planned maintenance?

Let's see: Got it, got it, got a pile of them from super packs. So nothing for me this week. And also this:

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

I could be wrong, but I believe that they said that Superpacks 2 will release with I24 on a coffeetalk or something.

Nope. And it's not part of the current bundle, either.

What!? You didn't dust off the Double XP Boosters or at least the Shared XP Boosters!? You guys are missing out on a gold mine opportunity here! I would have bought those up like crazy for double xp weekend!

I don't expect grandness every week, but your marketing team could maximize money making opportunities a little more.

@Rylas

Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.

I want to say that someone (Zwill?) said "before i24 launch" or maybe that they won't be available as a repeatable vet reward until i24. I don't remember anyone saying they wouldn't go live at all until the new issue. If they work the way the first set of super packs did, they'll be available on the market for points for a few weeks, then make their way onto the Paragon Rewards list with the new issue.

Cupid's Bow at least makes sense as a holiday-specific item. I still don't like it being limited like that, but if nothing else, it's consistent with the vampire cape and Medusa hair and Santa hat only being available during the appropriate "seasons." Roman armor and club-wear? Those aren't any more or less appropriate at one time of year than they are at another. Glad to see them on the market again.

Nope. Those are just the normal xp boosters. The 25% ones. They have 100% and 50% XP boosters they could bring out. Giving players the potential for 300-400% XP.

I'd imagine people with money to spend would jump all over that.

The devs probably don't want people burning through all their content in one day, getting bored, then leaving the game that much sooner.

Those are the x1.25 xp boost boosters.

They have boosters (on live, I think only the 1 hour Shared is not bugged, thus available) that do double XP, and the cool ones I think which are 1.5x XP PLUS they give you a similar ally buff power (So I give myself 50% bonus XP, and my SG mate if I want).

hitting 50 in a day hardly constitutes "burning through all the content".

And with an endgame in place, what do they care how fast you hit 50?
Within reason, anyway- I'm sure they'd prefer people to level like me and cruise along through the content instead of blasting to the cap, but it isn't the disaster it would have been in years gone by.

Leveling is just one part of the experience, these days.

Agreed. If you're leveling at 4x the speed, you can't possibly play "all the content." And with as much as the boosters in question cost, I doubt they mind if people paying that money hit 50 really fast.

Also, there are still Double XP boosters out there that haven't been used, and it's been confirmed that they will indeed give "Quad XP". I doubt they'd tell us about that if they had a problem with people doing it.

I think GPBunny actually has a point (though it certainly could have been phrased a tad more politely).

There is literally nothing new in the market this week. The Pocket D and Roman costume bundles both made it back to the store last week. The Boost Kit is also back, but it's been less than a month since it was introduced in the first place.

They didn't have to release a new power set or costume bundle, or even new Super Packs; they could have added a new Very Rare enhancement set to the market, or some more uncommon/rare enhancement sets. (It's not like the rest of the purple enhancements haven't been on the beta server since before i23 went into testing.)

Alternately, they could have had a sale that wasn't so incredibly bland. There is one thing and only one thing on sale: 25% XP Boosters, at 25% off. This weekend is Double XP weekend; they should be doing more to encourage creating new characters! Having a minor sale on character slots and GR/VIP power sets would inspire Free/Premium players to spend some cash this weekend.

So again, I think GPBunny made a good point. There is nothing enticing me to spend points this week. They might make a small profit from VIP players intent on milking the Double XP weekend for 2.25x XP, but I think the vast majority of people are going to be fine without.

Oh, and it really also ought to be noted:

The current incarnation of the Pocket D bundle does not contain the dance emotes or the Pocket D Transporter power.

The Roman bundle does not contain the Cupid Bow.

with a double XP weekend coming up they don't really need to add anything great to hit their profit targets.

there will be a billion people flooding back into the game, and some appreciable % of those folks will drop some coin on the market.

I don't think I have the roman set, so I might pick that up.
the Pocket D pack isn't my usual thing, but I'll check it out on the wiki and see if there's one piece I just can't live without....
