Sorcery will likely be a 'in-between' pay release. I24 will likely have 2 sets at launch with the other 2 afterwards if they follow the pattern they've sort of followed since Freedom. I still think based on the hints of I24 that it will be very Nature Themed, so I'm gonna guess Nature Affinity and water Blast at launch- one pay one free for VIP.

Radiation Armor will likely be January-March. Since a lot of work is probably done on the new sets, Rad armor probably got bumped up to the front of the line with Synapse, and that should filter down to the animators and artists.

New to me too, but I miss a lot of New York Times bestsellers. The Wikipedia article on "Who Moved My Cheese?" is informative.

I didn't say it was unreasonable for them to have radiation-related name. I said the radiation-related names they chose didn't make sense.

In any case, looking at the list again today, the names don't seem as bad for some reason. Few bits I still can't reason out.

Shouldn't Radiation blast be energy damage, because radiation is energy?

It's based on a book of the same name. I had to read it in college. Basically it's about how people will react and deal with changes in life/environment/work/routine.

And it's something we have to consider *every* *single* *day* when working on a live MMO .

Already answered, mostly, but here's the Wikipedia link on the book. Note that I have read the book but not that article. My boss' boss bought copies of it for his whole core team and their direct reports probably around 10 years ago. I hear the phrase used in corporate/work settings, but not much of anywhere else.

Then for a short while it was typed fire so as to not penalize RES armor sets.

Wow... don't know where my mind is! When I read this, I saw the "b" in the underlined word as a "t" and was like "Where the hell did he come up with THAT costume piece... and please let me hope that is a mistype!"

But, then I saw what it really said and laughed, and sighed in relief.

Vahz vomit was actually Fire damage, and Vahz darts were Negative damage at release. People thought they were untyped because most people that cared about damage type were playing Invuln and expecting Smashing/Lethal resistance to affect it. Firey Aura Tankers did very well against the Vahz in comparison to Invuln.

Edit:
Whoops, didn't see this.

If it was ever untyped, it must have been during beta, because I tested it shortly after release, before Issue 1.

I was pretty sure that it was Untyped at some point... which is why when they made it Toxic they couldn't create a Toxic Defense stat... and why it's resistance was added rather haphazardly into the various +HP powers like [Dull Pain].

also...there needs to a be a wheed whacker or a larger chainsaw for titan weapons...and a staff with chainsaws on each end like the one in dead rising 2...in the post apocalypse set....everything's better with chainsaws....

What are the odds that Radiation Armor will replace Bio Armor?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_radiation_syndrome

Energy damage for the initial blast/exposure
Toxic (DoT) damage for the long-term effects

Zero. They announced Bio Armor at the Summit. Given they don't announce power sets until they're close to hitting beta and thus live, there's no chance that a power set that'll be -at least- a half year more in the making is going to 'replace' it.

I'm expecting the sets to be different enough that there won't be much overlap.

Afterall, Willpower has a place alongside Invulnerability and Regeneration, as it is kind of the result of smashing the two together.

I'm expecting Rad Armor to play a little bit like a combination of Fiery Aura, Electric Armor, and Bio Armor.

(plus the addition of -Regen in the set will mean melee ATs will have a viable set for soloing GMs, assuming it is substantial and/or stackable)

I like that comparison Claws- but I don't think it is a combo of Bio Armor, more a stripped bown bare Regen (as a side note- I Seriously wish they had kept the name Symbiotic Armor.. Bio armor just sounds soo plain).

I see Rad as being Fire's little brother- trading survivability for offense, in Rad's case through Debuffs. I can see a Fire/Rad Brute or a Rad/Fire or Mace Tank being a great farming toon.
