And they pulled a 5 year Time Skip. WTF? I actually liked where the overall plot was heading.
As to the episode itself? Interesting. Only caught bits of it though, so I'm gonna need to rewatch it. Yesh, the YJ's roster is nearly as big as their elders now. Not sure that's a good thing.

Stupid dvr. Since the show was titled, "Young Justice: Invasion" rather than "Young Justice", the dang thing didn't record it.

Upside, Zatanna is all grown up. Downside she's league now so we probably won't see her that much.
Five year time skip was a shock. Obviously "The Light"'s is playing a long game.
Some women look good with short hair, sadly Miss Martian isn't one of them IMO.
It's nice to see they've expanded the team, a lot.

I expected the Invasion part to be more directly tied to Darkseid, since his involvement with the Light was pretty much the last of the plot threads from before the season 1 finale to be left hanging. I know he's there in the background, though, since G. Gordon Godfrey is his henchman Glorious Godfrey in regular continuity.
I imagine we'll be getting a lot of exposition and flashbacks to fill in the gap. Not sure how I feel about it, but I have a decent amount of faith in Weisman to handle it well, given time. First on the list will likely be what became of Superboy and Miss Martian's romance, since they're on Zeta team.
BTW, Rann is pronounced like "ran"? I always pronounced it with an "ah" sound. The things you learn that you were wrong about for decades....

Although I think they should stick to their guns about staying with an advancement in time-line, to be honest, I fully expect to see a "rewind" of some sort before the Invasion arc is over with.

Not really sure if I like it yet or not. I can't stand the Blue Beetle character but that's just because I hate DC for what they did with Ted Kord.
So the show has gone from one that I loved and characters that I liked to being one that I'm uncertain about with at least one character I dislike and one I'm sincerely meh about (ie fishboy lost prince of atlantis). And I think they stuck Beast Boy in just because Titans was popular.
To me it feels like they are tying to imitate JLU but where JLU felt like a natural progression this feels forced.

I wouldn't be surprised if a rewind took place as well. I also wouldn't be surprised that the YJ production staff was forced to speed up the story pacing by CN. But again, I'm more than cynical about how CN does w/their programming anyways...

I was surprised by the time skip, doesn't really feel like Young Justice anymore. At least not the way they set it up originally. I'm wondering if the Reach are going to play a part in this as well though. Those aliens freaked out and ran when they saw Blue Beetle and they played at the fact that the team doesn't realize he talks with his suit or that it's alien tech.
So season 2 starts now..
