So far, it feels better to me.

Personally I'm a bit disappointed that they did the fast forward. I was liking where the team and story was at the end of the first season. I would have liked to see that develop.

However it still looks good enough to watch. My DVR didn't catch this so I ended up having to find a place to watch it online. I better get to fiddling with the DVR so I don't miss anymore.

Too many alts to list.

I generally like time skips and this is no exception but it was a huge surprise.

Did anyone else think that Vandal Savage using the mind controlled League to pick a fight with some aliens was similar to Nemesis using Freedom Phalanx automatons to do the same with the Rikti?

Not that false flag operations are a new thing, mind you. Both storylines obviously borrow from history.

I wasn't expecting the time skip either, but overall I liked it, and I hope they do answer some of the questions they created:
-What exactly did happen between Megan and Conner, its apparant that Conner is still uncomfortable about Megan moving on?
-of the missing young justice members:
Kid Flash - is he the Flash now??
Aqualad II - For some reason I've found him a lot more interesting than Garth ever was as Aqualad. Also curious if they do bring him back, the fact that Black Manta is his biological father would be played on here.
Artimus - As a replacement Arrowette, I really liked her, diffinitely hope she is not gone
Red Arrow - based on how the old series ended, I don't think where done here.

Y'know now that I think about it, thats enough for a team, maybe Bats in this universe recruited them as this Universe's Outsiders, along with maybe Starfire, Cyborg, and Raven

Young Justice diffinitely shows promise of being as good as Justice Leage/ Justice League Invasion was

Which ones?

To me it feels like they are tying to imitate JLU but where JLU felt like a natural progression this feels forced.
I don't think Beast Boy was forced since he was on the show before. I'm kinda wondering if they'll acknowlege the fact that M'gann and Gar are now blood brother and sister.

The one where they were in Africa going up against Queen Bee trying to take over another country. BB was the kid on the nature preserve. It was before he was infected with sakutia.

In that episode called "Image", they also implied that his shape changing abilities may have been due to (or at least partially due to) the blood transfusion he got from Miss Martian.

Not all cliffhangers can be dealt with in the next season's premiere. Patience.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

Wait, what?

Completely unrelated to this, am I the only one who doesn't remember the new genesis sphere/flying motorcycle showing up in the series before it's spotlight episode?

Props to the writers on setting up beast boy the way they did. While I'm usually not a fan of writers force feeding the audience information I do wish it was a little more clear he was the kid Miss M saved.

The kid's name was Garfield Logan, the real name of Beast Boy.

Except you said Garth....which threw me for a loop....because thats the real name of Aqualad, except not this Aqualad but the other Aqualad....which I wouldnt have corrected you on because Im not that much of a nitpicker....but I, like Cheetahtron was confused.

I feel better now though.

Wouldn't know. I follow Marvel more than I do DC. I also imagine like myself (only a casual fan of comics) not every viewer would know Beast boys real name. Yes, knowing beast boy and all the others is a given, but actually knowing back story/secret identity/etc not so much.

I kind of liked that they told Beast Boy's origin subtilty, but I see your point. Maybe they'll go into it more in future episodes.

Yeah I caught that I typed "Garth" instead of "Gar" way after everyone was already responding. Since it was already quoted a few times, and no one spoke up, I left it alone.

By the way fixed now.

I kind of like this origin of Beast Boy better than the actual pre-New 52 origin, and actually hope they use it( or varation of) in the post-New 52 origin. Basically, as a child he got bettin by a green monkey( no joke) that had some rare disease, and was given a serum that saved his life, and gave him his powers and green screen.

Granted with him being green, it would make more sense if he got a blood infusion from Martian Manhunter, rather than Megan( since she is a White Martian, and not a Green), but its plausable given she was in Green Martian form at the time.

Posted

Well, wasn't the monkey he had in that episode green? Perhaps a combination of the bite of the monkey (and assorted monkey pox) interacting with M'gann's blood.

Posted

Well today's episode pretty much sinches Beast Boy's origin, and Connor's "condition". And Gar calls M'gann Sis!

Posted

Interesting episode today. Background development on Beast Boy and Miss Martians bond and some details surfacing on why Connor and M'gann broke up.

I am. Who was the villain who blew up the elemental? Sonics from the arm made me think cyborg, but he's supposed to be a good guy right?
