I'm ... less happy with it than I thought I'd be. Two related complaints:
(1) It's VERY visually "busy." I'm getting a bit of a headache looking at it. And ...
(2) If it were 10' or 12' tall, it would look like a mecha. At 4' to 7' tall, it's going to look like a Power Ranger. Not, I guess, that there's anything wrong with that, but it's not really what I was looking for.
The complaints are related because that level of spikiness and that level of complexity in the geometry would look a lot better if the thing were 3 or 4 times the size. This would make a GREAT design for a Giant Monster ... or, better yet, a character-substitute model, so we could wear it as a giant mecha to fight an up-gunned Chronos Titan with something its own size. But at standard character size? Not only am I not tempted, I'm really kind of dreading seeing them on other people.
It looks nice ,but I hope that we don't lose Celestial (or Fire and Ice for whatever follows Mecha) prior to resolving the token distribution problems...

Ignoring anyone is a mistake. You might miss something viral to your cause.
Just a few suggestions...
1. This needs too look much better on a huge body type!
2. There needs too be enough options too have 2 separate looks, IE, 2 shoulder options, 2 arm options, etc...
3. We need 2 more Back Pack options in order too keep up with the amount of Wings.
4. I'd also like too see some non-energy swords as well.

Does anyone have pics of all the options? I know I'll never get to see these as a player so if someone has take pics of each piece, could they post. I am still mortified over making such a sought after set a tier 9 VIP rewards.
The parts are still being updated. I would think that more pictures will come when Issue 23 gets closer.

I get your point, though. NCSoft is trying to balance "attracting new customers" with its features and "rewarding longtime supporters." Unfortunately, there's no way to accomplish both without some kind of "gate." Giving it all away to new players can be needlessly overwhelming. It also encourages vets to un-subscribe and just purchase things "ala carte."
I totally understand a new player who feels that they should have access to all the cool stuff naow and to reserve just the less exciting things like belly shirts (9 month reward) or Greek symbols (6 months) for vets. That's human nature. *shrugs*
The good news is: under the current model, if you started today, you will have access to Tier 9 rewards in 35 months, as opposed to the 7+ years required under the old system. Not only is it much faster, you also have to option to choose which rewards within a tier you want to take first, instead of it being automatically chosen for you.
I do understand your impatience. I'm just saying it's a lot better now than the old system of waiting 3 months for a reward of ANY kind, even a lame, err, LESS THAN EXCITING one.

Picture #3, the pilot fits in the chest, and there is an opening in the neck to look out. Reference for scale:
The reason I included this one was that the main character (female) was literally in love with her mech.
I love the series for the near future portrayal of mecha. Though I wonder why they have a revolver or shotgun for main weapons.

Beam = Beam Rifle.
Pulse = Pulse Rifle (aka Bots Master Minds).
Pistols are pistols, so it doesn't matter if the power set is Dual Pistols or Thugs MMs.
