Well, this will make Techbot Alpha blow a gasket with happiness I think. And possibly a few relays. And cause some unwanted oil leaks.

Then look at the size of the character and how close they are.
My guess? They're screwing with you via perspective. Just because it's a "huge" character doesn't mean it's 8' tall.

Hey, does this mean that the Celestial set in t9 is going away and being replaced by this new Mecha set? Or are they just going to add Mecha to the Celestial and Fire & Ice choices we have now?
I just dinged into t9 this past month, am paid up through October 2012, and was going to leisurely meander my way through the t9 Celestial and Fire & Ice choices this year....
Is that the bell for a Celestial three-alarm fire I now hear going off?

Nice, but suprised not to see any Mecha versions of the backwards articulated legs in the Monstrous lower body pants/boots option sections. At least I don't see any in the promo.
Hopefully they remember to include Mecha arms in the Robotic Arms option section.

Can't wait for these to come up on Beta so I can get a better look at them. I've got some ideas in mind for some of the parts. I'm a fan of Gundam and other Japanese mecha so this is just plain cool to me.

I will certainly buy this the minute it comes out. I liked the celestial backpack. Thats way cool. But.... I didnt want to blow a token on just that. However there is nothing I dont want in this fantastic set.

I thought for a moment it might be something like the Resistance Heavy Barrel cannons, until I realised there wasn't so much a cannon as a hilt/handle. Ah well...
