Which Incarnate Power Do You Max First?

I assume most people try and get a Tier 4 alpha slot...but after that what Incarnate do youg you guys try and get to Tier 4 the fastest? Why?

I personally don't usually rush to t4 on Alpha. A t3 is of course high priority, for the level shift, but after taht I just eventually work my way to t4, with Notices from the WST and whatever shards I earn from normal content.

Usually, I get Destiny to t4 first. Generally, this gives the longest duration, without sacrificing the Wide area.

I aim for T3 Alpha, then T3 Destiny for a level shift and a power I use often, then T3 Lore for a level shift and a power I don't use often. Somewhere in here I get a T1 Judgement.

After that, I build T4 Interface because I like damage procs.

Well I typically try to get Destiny to tier 4 quickly since then it's at its max duration. Then it really just depends where I feel like going to tier 4 next. Judgement and Interface basically get the next priority with Alpha somewhere in there using Shards only. Lore is the last I max out but of course I try to get to tier 3 as quickly as possible with it, though that's usually not a problem as typically I can have a tier 3 crafted before I even unlock the slot.

Really depends on the build. If the base build is defensive oriented, and all around solid, and thus needs the incarnate to help more on offense, it might be Judgement. Or maybe Interface.

It's a total case-by-case basis.

Most of my builds go:

  1. Tier 3 Alpha
  2. Tier 3 Interface
  3. Tier 1 Judgment
  4. Tier 3 Destiny
  5. Tier 3 Lore
  6. Tier 4 Alpha
  7. Tier 4 Interface
  8. Tier 3 Judgment
    • This is the point where my less played characters tend to stop
  9. Tier 4 Destiny
  10. Tier 4 Lore
  11. Tier 4 Judgment

I tend to max out which ever one I get the drops for. but most of my guys only go up to teir 3. Cant be **** with all that tier 4 rubbish.

Usually, my priorities are:

  1. Tier 3 alpha
  2. Tier 4 destiny
  3. Tier 1 judgement
  4. Tier 3 Lore
  5. Tier 1 interface
  6. Tier 3-4 Interface
  7. Tier 3-4 Judgement
  8. Tier 4 alpha
  9. Tier 4 Lore

The alpha is an always on level shift, with enhancements over the ED limit, so that's top priority.
Destiny gives a level shift, and at tier 4 gains scaling but often permanent buffs
Judgement even at tier one gives a panic button, burst damage, and AoE that's great for fast enemy add-ons or ambushes.
Tier 3 lore gives a level shift, and extra damage and/or damage/support
Tier one interface gives an extra effect to damage attacks, but won't be a game changer
Tier 3-4 interface makes the effects reliable
Tier 3-4 judgement ups the damage/adds bonus effects/range/target caps
Tier 4 Alpha ignores more of the enhancement cap, if the value is one that needs to surpass that
Tier 4 lore gives an extra damage buff to pets (core) or a better/invulnerable support pet.

I wouldn't think so. My main is all tier 4. A couple of other toons have SOME tier 4's. The rest (over 20 others) simply don't bother going past tier 3 in any slot. It's just not worth the time/salvage.

On 'damage dealers', I'll slot Interface and Judgement as quickly as possible. On defenders, I'll often IGNORE those slots while I stockpile salvage so I can work on Lore and Destiny as soon as I unlock them. Overall, I think Destiny is the best. If I'm going to run iTrials that only provide one type of iXP, I'll focus on getting Destiny unlocked. The powers are great AND it provides a level shift.

It depends on character but I can atleast tell that lore and hudgement are at the end of list which I make T4.

If I am playing a DPS oriented character than interface and alpha first T4 than destiny for added survival.

If i am playing anything else alpha than destiny. Interface is third one in the list.

Almost exactly this, except sometimes I'll make 2 tier 3 destinies before I make a judgement due to the added versatility on trials. Once I have at least one t3 in every slot besides judgement, I'll do the t1 Judgement and then get to work on t4 Alpha or Interface depending on the build (sometimes saving different things for both at the same time.) t4 Lore and Judgement are generally the last things I do, but then my main has every Destiny at t4 except a t3 Incandescence, 2 t4 Judgements, 1 t3 Judgement, 1 t4 Lore, 1 t3 Lore, 1 t4 Interface, 1 t3 Interface, and 2 t4 Alpha's. Sometimes I wish I could give some of that stuff to my alts. >.>

I'm somewhat surprised at the lack of priority given to Interface. I have seen estimates of a 75% chance for damage Interface (read: tier 3 total radial in any of the damage trees) to be worth upwards of a 50 DPS increase. I've always felt like Interface has the most dramatic impact on my normal play.

It usually varies depending on what my rare/very rare drop rates look like. Generally I will have enough stuff to get t1 judgment and t2 or t3 interface before I unlock destiny/lore without delaying t3ing those slots for the level shifts by the time they are unlocked.

t3 alpha
t1 judgment
t2-3 interface
t3 destiny
t3 lore
t4 destiny
t4 alpha
t3 judgment (sometimes sooner if unlucky with VR drops)
T4 lore
T4 judgment
T4 interface

Occassionally I'll T4 a 2nd Destiny before T4'ing Judgment/Interface/Lore

Other than Alpha (and then not always)...none.

The time and effort to get a T4 far outweighs the benefit for me.

I don't have many T4's at all.

That said, I do like to get things to T3 as quickly as I can and, since I tend to play
squishies, I tend to get Alpha and Judgement to T3 first - Alpha obviously for the
level shift, but then Judgement as it's what a Nuke should be (in the first place).

Interface is usually the least important to me, not because it isn't useful, but more
because I think of it like some extra damage (similar to chewing red candy - nice,
buff, but not really core to the toon), so T1 or T2 is "good enough" to begin
with.

So, after Alpha and Judgement, Destiny gets my full attention because Barrier is such
a game changer on a squishy (Clarion is also good, but it's far more situational).

Lore is only slightly more interesting than Inferface, and I find that I don't actually
use the pets very much even when I do have them (the iShift is really the main
value for me), except for AV/GM fights, or the BAF prisoner phase. <shrug>

So, Alpha, Judgement and Destiny - then Reactive and Lore "when I get around to it".

Unsurprisingly, the few T4's I DO have are in that first group of three.

I don't really use the other two, though I'll build them as I get parts for them.

Even if you don't actually use the powers, Destiny and Lore are important to get to t3 for your level shifts.

Only if you play content that uses them. I don't run itrials very often. That said, as said I build them as components drop. Just because I don't use it often doesn't mean it won't at some point be useful. But in the things I like to do (ITF, tips, paper missions) the other three powers see far more use.

It's a good question you ask, and I'm proud to see that some folks are savvy enough to realize that level shifts are a priority.

Without exception, all of my toons get t-4 alpha before their first iTrial. I'm not gonna be "that guy" with leaguemates that may not say it, but think, "Slacker wants the league to carry him."

I could stop at t3 alpha, and just let the natural course of playing the toons get them their t-4, but I find that I have plenty of toons already in the post-alpha incarnate progression, I don't need to add yet another toon to this process just yet.

Following that, I don't craft anything, or break any astrals or emps down until I get my first rare.
Then it's t-3 Destiny clarion on every toon, no exception. The level shift is what I'm after, and the clarion for it's help with these unexpected terrors and confusion in the ugt.
Then t-3 lore (usually cimerorans, as they give the highest dps)
Following that, if it's a support toon, I go with a judgement, then an interface. I got along 50 levels without any of them, so they are just gravy.

After that, they all craft based on what drops at the end of iTrials. I am really weary of baf, keyes and lambda, so I typically do just UGT. The other trials require a concentration of level shifted toons and there are too many good players on my server with alt-itis. Once they get to +3, they generally park their toons and start playing another that's not shifted.

Like many others I get Alpha to T3 for the level shift and then start working to get my other powers open and to eventually get Destiny and Lore to T3 for the added shifts. After that I do tend to work on getting Alpha to t4 first and then I focus on Judgement and Lore [never hurts to have more damage] before working on Destiny and Interface.

One thing I also do is work to have what I consider the big three Destinies available .. Clarion, Barrier and Rebirth. This gives the league more options Clarion for the UG and MOM to combat MEZ. Barrier comes in very hand on either of these as well.. especially the one with 2 rezzes when you are doing MOM and get no option to head to the hospital after defeat. For the easy trials like the BAF, LAM and TPN Rebirth works fine just helping keep everyone at full strength. I normally pick 1 of these and get it to t4 and am happy with having the other two at t3 so I don't lose any level shifts.

I stopped at T3 on all of my toons, I saw no point to T4 when the extra bonuses were unnecessary for my builds. /shrug.

Of course, now that I'm Premium I don't see much of a point to any Incarnate system :P
