PS...your other point about "telling people it isn't worth their time" somehow takes the prize in this thread for dumbest comment...quite a competition. Congrats!
-
Athletes are not overpaid...they participate in a multi billion dollar industry and posses a set of skills that very people own and that millions are willing to spend billions of dollars to watch. It makes literally no sense for someone to say that athletes make too much money because it implies that the owners for some reason don't like money and give it away to their employees instead of putting it in their pockets.
-
What a fascinating thread. The concept that a business selling a product for more than it was produced means that it is a scam has to be one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. We can all assume that a particular person who thinks this would also be a person that while selling one of their own possessions tells their buyer that they refuse to take one penny more than the cost of production....and if that person offers them more they just say no. Newsflash, the reason a box of cereal costs $5 is because people are willing to pay $5 for that box of cereal...that is the only reason.
This reminds me of all the dumb people who think it is logical to say "athletes are overpaid. they get paid $x to play a game. what a scam!".... -
Thanks. That kind of makes the enhancenment a little less sweet. While the majority of the time on teams I don't want my Explosive Arrow creating KB...when I solo it can be helpful against bosses.
Thanks -
Question on the enhancement. Does this power just make your power that had KB act the same as normal just instead of KB it does KD? Or does it remove the KB part of the power and then there is a seperate 20% chance for KD?
-
Will the IO guarantee KD or will it work like other powers with KD where with lower levels or someone with low KB resist it will still turn into KB?

Quote:- What makes the other trials more fun?I don't see this at all. There are already trials that serve the EM per run quota, are more fun AND don't lock people out that don't have lore AND destiny unlocked. There is ZERO reason to "farm" this trial beyond the IXP and certainly not for the EM. IMHO of course lol.
- In general, I find it interesting how many people complain about things in this game. They seem to want to get Rewards really, really fast (so they complain about how slow it is to do the solo incarnate stuff) and yet also complain about having to "farm" something. These seem like for the most part mutually exclusive lines of thinking.
If you want your stuff fast...you do the fast stuff and give up the story arc part of the game. If you enjoy the story arc part of the game you give up some of the speed to level up. Seems like an entirely logical counterbalance. -
Quote:Well in this case I will need to respec...so it is sort of annoying. Sometimes you don't want to the second to last power in your secondary. Especially with ATs that get the Scorpion Shield which goes a long way to get to soft cap of S/L. But it is what it is...Why do you assume you'll need to respec? Honestly, I prefer having the PPP contact at 35. I'd outleveled the power at 41 at times.
Take it at 35 with your second-last secondary power or something else you skipped before then. Take the first PPP power at 38. No respec required. -
Can anyone explain to me what would be fun or interesting to have an entire set that only required you to walk up to enemies and stand there?? There might be ones available today that partially allow that...but that isn't what the set is built for and the majority of powers aren't centered on doing nothing...
-
So as I thought more about this question. Does this mean that to get a PP Power at 35 you have to actually level to 35...pick another power...complete the patron arc...respec and choose the PP Power? If so, that seems kind of dumb.
Also, does the contact automatically come to you at 35 like it did at 40 or do you need a broker (or another contact) to give it to you? -
From my understanding to get access to the PPP pools you still must complete a patron arc. Does that mean you cannot access the PPP pools until level 40 when you can get one of them as a contact (instead of 35 like the APPs)??

Any feedback on the following build? Has 45.1 S/L Defense and a bunch of +Rech...it should be pretty expensive so I thought I should get some feedback first. With the Spiritual Core I'd have perma hasten and 1.24 seconds down time of Drain Psyche

I solo'd all of the DA stuff at 0/x6 with my Titan Weapon / Energy Armor toon that only had their alpha level shift. The mission wasn't difficult...it was just really, really boring having to wait for the Cyclops to drop their god mode.
The entire arc is easily the worst arc in the group. -
That is true...except you can't just run iTrials on your own...
-
Maybe I can read through his pages. I've run a bunch of trials but have still yet to run/finish a couple of them
-
Is there a place I can go to get a better understanding of the City of Heroes Lore. For example, the Incarnate Trial in I23 is the last one for the Praetorian items and like it says on the I23 splash page: "Things you learned in the Dilemma Diabolique trial..." when I go to the ParagonWiki it gives you a walk through of what to do in the trial, but none of what you learn...so is there somewhere else you can go to read up about things in case you haven't been able to do all the trials.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Dilemma_Diabolique_Trial
Thanks -
Intresting...I break it down as:
First Mission: Just lead Duncan to the marker on the map and leave.
Second Mission: Stealth/Run to Ajax and kill the boss spawn around him. Run to Diabolique and cycle through the text and then Stealth/Run to the end and kill the Keres and click glowie.
Third Mission: Listen to Scirocco and Diabolique talk (same as the talk scene in the Heather arc). Kill the three groups that come from the cemetary and take down the Sentinal
Fourth Mission: Stealth all the way to the end and defeat Diabolique
With Judgment you can do the third mission pretty easily and overall you are only fighting four groups of characters. Seems like way more in the Heather arc. -
I ran the first arc again and continue to feel strongly that if your toon can take down yellow EBs that the fourth arc can be done quicker then the first arc. I can usually do the Duncan arc in about 15 minutes.
-
Quote:This is so true...what is even more annoying is the powers with KD and it gets translated into KB. I can imagine that farming would be amazingly easy with a toon that doesn't have any KD/KB powers. One thing you need to be careful of. If your powers have any sort of KB component at all, running at even level or less can result in enemies getting tossed around all over the place.
The first time I ran through the DA super-arc, I ran at +2x8. The only missions I had problems with were the last one in the first half of the Dream Doctor arc (after you get Audrey'ed and break free you have to fight several mobs of BP). The Sorrow-based BP nuked the crap out of my defenses on a capped Inv/SS tank. Made me feel positively squishy...
But all the "final missions", I had zero problems with.
Imagine my abject shock in failing the rescue at the end of Heather's arc at +0x1! All due to most of my attacks becoming Foe-Tossing Charges and the extra time incurred chasing them down. -
Interesting...I always feel the Duncan arc is the fastest. The first mission you can basically skip. The second one you can stealth to each of the points (saving Ajax, talk to D, and kill the Keres). Third one takes a bit due to the dialogue, but only had three groups to kill and the fourth mission you just stealth to the back.
Guess most people would rather skip the EBs. -
Let me know what you guys think:

I assume most people try and get a Tier 4 alpha slot...but after that what Incarnate do youg you guys try and get to Tier 4 the fastest? Why?
-
Yes...guess I make too many scrappers...lol. My bad guys.
Looks like swapping out for Defensive Sweep can give me over the SC for Negative...now the question is if I want to go through the respec process for that one thing...sigh -
My Titan Weapon / Energy Armor toon is quickly becoming my "main" so I thought I'd get feedback on my current build. As you can see, I could easily take out both of my Kinetic Combats and replace them with other sets (or move slots to other powers), but I can't really find anything worth switching them too.
Let me know what you think. Also, don't worry about exemplaring below 50...if ever do that then I plan to just deal with the loss of performance.

One random complaint I would have is that the level shift stuff has a much larger effect to powersets that have KD in their powers.
As a Titan/EA Brute, it is entirely pointles to run with a bunch of greys and greens because each time you hit them with most of your powers (which are normally only knockdown) they scatter around the map...
If you have a character that doesn't really do KD (not KB)...it must be amazingly easy to farm threads.
