Dark Astoria, Level Shifts and Threads

I've been running the DA arcs and trials, and I've gradually been gaining enough threads and components to get my T3 alpha and Destiny slots.
Now I'm wondering, would i gain more threads when I increase my difficulty, so I will be fighting mobs at my own level again, or is lvl difference not a factor in how often threads drop?

Ya they are practically telling people to hunt grey mobs. Makes me wish they would have just went the traditional route of a level cap increase instead of the level shift nonsense.

It is not a factor. Having said that, level is a very large factor in gaining incarnate XP. Going from base difficulty to +2 makes a huge difference in iXP.

Influence? That, I don't need.

I started at 0/8 and was dismayed at the lack of progress - then I upped it to 4/8 and I'm still dismayed at the lack of progress.

As far as I'm concerned - DA content is fine for folks that already have their slots unlocked.

But, to unlock them? Nah, I won't do that. I'll just do ugts.

Heh... I look at it the other way, actually. DA seems pretty decent for unlocking slots - my latest 50 is at 37% on both Judgement and Interface after doing just Heather Townshend and a couple missions from Maharaj - but much worse for actually getting the components to make abilities.

From the Issue 22 patch notes:

Quote:
Enemies in this zone and its missions range from level 50 to 54, with higher level enemies providing more XP and greater chance for Thread drops.
I'm not sure how this affects drop rates from mobs in the Cimeroran Incarnate arc.

I've seen this a few times and I find it weird. I took a guy who had his alpha unlocked (but not level shifted) and was able to unlock all four of my slots going through the arcs a 0/4 and running maybe three or four trials...

It isn't really that slow...and I honestly don't know how fast it would have to be to make it reasonable and yet get people to stop complaining.

One random complaint I would have is that the level shift stuff has a much larger effect to powersets that have KD in their powers.

As a Titan/EA Brute, it is entirely pointles to run with a bunch of greys and greens because each time you hit them with most of your powers (which are normally only knockdown) they scatter around the map...

If you have a character that doesn't really do KD (not KB)...it must be amazingly easy to farm threads.
