Searching for the fabled KB --> KD converter enhancement...

So I've heard this rumor in fleeting whispers: "Soon", there will be some sort magical enhancement that, when slotted, will convert Knockback to Knockdown. I've heard this from several un-related people in-game on several un-related occasions, but I can't find a single reference to it anywhere on the interwebs.

Is there any truth to it?

It's part of a set that will drop randomly during the upcoming Summer Event which, being upcoming, hasn't started yet.

As I understand it that isn't able to be slotted there, since Hand Clap does no damage...

That would be an awfully large slot commitment for something you could get from a single slotted Steadfast Protection +KB Protection. Also as stated above, Hand Clap does no damage and thus cannot take Universal Damage sets. But thanks for playing.

Sorry, wasn't clear. It's going to go into one of my normal attacks (probably Foot Stomp, because the PBAoE sets all suck at end redux), and it'll allow me to take Hand Clap to stack stuns with OG

Except it's not a global, which (to me) it sounds like you still think it is.

If you're planning to slot it into Foot Stomp for the 6 slot bonus, Hand Clap will still do knockback, since the IO isn't in Hand clap.

And if I'm still misunderstanding you, well, my bad. *shrug*

hmmm, interesting. it could be useful in a energy blaster's aoe power. other than that? maybe make me interested in one of the dark power cones i have tried to like, until i realized i was regularly ruining my team's play experience.

Would it be able to be slotted into Bonfire? And would the bonfire pet inherit the KB-->KD effect?

My 2 questions for this...

1: Is this only a level 50 set? The screenie shown states a character must be at least level 47 to slot it. However, is that just because the one being looked at was already a level 50 instead of a lower level piece, or are they all level 50?

2: Are these only going to drop during the event's mission, or can they drop anywhere during the event?

If it can and it does, I don't imagine it will last long, because it would give Bonfire the most almightly buff, and turn it from 'fun but situational' to 'use as often as possible'.

H: Blaster 50, Defender 50, Tank 50, Scrapper 50, Controller 50, PB 50, WS 50
V: Brute 50, Corruptor 50, MM 50, Dominator 50, Stalker 50, AW 50, AS 50

OK, I don't mind, and routinely enjoy using KB powers. I can even handle them on my mastermind's pets. But I'll agree with you here: Mister Sparkles is a prime candidate for this enhancement. My Ill/Time is all about not letting anyone go anywhere.

Bruiser's Hand Clap has been knock down for years now.
