im with you on hating the howling noises, honestly the demons never bothered me and my demon trap mm is one of my fav toons lol
if anyone has a silence file i can use to replace the howling ones with that would be most appreciated (can PM me), currently i just do my best to ignore it since t was only umbra beast i had issues with but the darn beast mastery made it like 10x worse
I have friends who will not team with Dark Controllers because they were on an iTrial with 6 of them recently and the howling drove them mad.
Yeah...this needs to be a feature, not a workaround...

The howling is a bit much. It'd be nice if "turn off pet sounds" was added as an option via Null the Gull.

At this point I'm thinking sound loops of Fran Drescher, Gilbert Godfrey, Bob Cat Goldwaith, Roseanne Barr, and Ozzy Osbourne would be better...

gonna throw a thx out to artphobia for providing me a silence file, i went through today and silenced ALL dog and cat sounds
This is the reason why I didnt make a Dark Control Dom.. that one thing ruined the whole set for me. I play with headphones and I dont want to hear that all day..
I actually left a team that had a Dark Control and a Beast Mastery and Demon Summon MM because these noises were annoying as hell

Ran a TF the other night with two Beast Mastery toons on our team and I just ended up turning the sound off and playing the game on mute. I understand the need for sound effects/animal noises, but not every 3 seconds.
Coming back out of the woodwork after a couple years away from the game...
Let's find inane things to ***** about when entire AT's are broken.

Umbra Beast's barking just got on my nerves so much that I finally took that leap. Then I more or less figured "In for a penny, in for a pound" and started silencing every other sound that I don't care for.
Police Radio? Mute.
Portal Corps portals? Gone.
Base Portal? Not any more.
MM's Robots' footsteps? Shut it.
And so on, and so on.

Haha, yeah...
Well, ya see.... Basenji don't bark.
(They do make some god awful sound that basenji owners affectionately refer to as barooing or yodeling though... seriously they're like little howler monkeys.)(Youtube is full of people goading their basenji into it.)
