The Shia is alive and kicking still , we have been traveling the multiverse of mmo's but we always sneak back into CoH when the mods aren't looking .

I miss the people who would have missed me, had I gone before them.

Also, thirding @Bradders. Class act, as has been said. As for the person who said they missed Pengi, he's still around. Global is @Fausty.

It's good to see a lot of the Shield coalition people around still, those who've stayed and those who came back. Hag, Doman, Mountie, etc.

I miss Terraitor. I also miss most of the people who were in my old VG back in 2007, Daemon Consortium. Some of my best memories were from those days.

We all always really miss Stripling, he was a really neat guy and fun to role play with. The Dodgers have never really been the same without him.

All the members of my old Supergroup The Knights of Paragon, who are virtually nonexistent (though the Roster indicates that some few of them *have* logged in at least briefly in recent memory).

The Me of a couple of years ago, who was more enthusiastic about playing In Character. I miss that guy. Don't know where he went.

Amen to that. Good times were had. Repulse Shock(Kurt) and Penumbra Edge (Kael) are currently in college and still running around on rare occasions. They are both fixing up the base after an accident that Shock seems to not have any clue about. Radey, Berry, Cruse, Jade, Jag, Nod, Fist...the list goes on but you get the idea.

Also miss a bunch of my Academy friends even though the group disbanded years and years ago.

Here's a question to go along with the OP topic. Does anyone have friends that they've made through this game that they will miss when it finally bows it's head? I know I have a number of men and owmen I've met through this game that i'd be sad if I lost contact with.

I'm gonna say @ArchangelNuriko and her boyfriend (generally @PyroWulf but he changed his global a lot). I hang out with them on Champions Online, but I miss the CoX iterations of their characters (and playing a game with them that's actually enjoyable right off the bat).

I miss her too.

I also miss Nucess and Canadian, I remember doing hami raids with them back in the day.

Pretty much anyone from my old SG. I particularly miss drunken TF night. Of course, it wasn't always a TF, but that wasn't the important part.

I miss just about all of Project Rebirth (who nobody on these boards will probably remember.)

I don't miss Capt Valor, Plasmastream and Sea Hawk, though, since they aren't gone and I see them when Guardian Force gets together. With the advent of the AE, we just about stopped RPing in public places and focus on custom-made plots and missions. That has its upsides and downsides, obviously.

Heroid, who's still around (and posting in this very thread) but I've not seen him in a while.
most of Project Rebirth and/or Sanction Omega.
and my fellow Taxibots - their time may be mostly past, due to changes and improvements to the game, but I'm still proud to have been a part. /salute

You know I've seen players come and go. I've come and gone a few times myself. But what I really miss is back when the xp curve was longer and heroes were more reliant on each other, and you would re-form up the same team from the night before.

That sence of community has long since left MMO's in general. Between WoW's pull on the genre to make "endgame" the focus, and the influx of people who wouldn't normally play MMO's due to F2P, most MMO's sense of actual community on a wide scale is gone.

I miss the days when you would go through a zone and you may not know every player you see but you certainly knew 75% of the SG names.

That's kind of like life, but yes--I always enjoyed that.

There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.

Yes...! Swamp Bug/Purple Nebula (or P. Nebby as I liked to call him) was awesome. He showed me the ropes when if first came to Virtue and I'll never forget him. I spent a ton of time with him until he moved on to The Matrix Online - where he became a legend there as well.

He was awesome.

Royal Jester - Probably the first roleplayer I teamed with. Took Belle all the way to Portal Corp, right up to the portals, when she was nearly fresh from fighting the Contaminated.

Dr. Forkenshpoon - Master of SCIENCE, potent sense of humor, and mentor to my main character. Nobody will ever be quite like him.

Jenny Device - Doc's girlfriend. She was gone before we knew it, but she was like a big sister to Belle in her younger days.

Officer Celara - Leader of the Paragon City Police Department, first supergroup I joined.

Grand Inquisitor - Leader of Belle's first supergroup, Phoenix.

The Weevil - Weevil Knievel!

Boscoe - Very fun whenever I interacted with him.

Tempura Schoolboi - He seemed like an intentional side character who was jealous of the Sushi Squad, so I always wanted him to win somehow.

The entire original CAPE RADIO Staff - DJ Tenchi, Forrest, Omega, D, Insomniac, Shinjuku. Nobody remembers them, but I got to hang out with them on Teamspeak and they were all very awesome. I would list DJ One Hit Wonder, but I've seen her fairly recently. XD

Captain Orbit - Only seen him ONE time, but in the short moments he was there - he crash landed near City Hall, tried to explain to my young, freaked out hero that he was trying to save John F. Kennedy, and almost got into a fight with a soviet warrior named Comrade Smersh, who told him that he was a bit late.

The entire Aurorae supergroup.

There are about a few dozen names I miss, but - those are the first ones who stand out.

Oh. I think I met two of Square Woot's Catbots (with Square Woot) in Galaxy City. Probably between the 1000 - 8000 series that would never be spoken of.

Go read her comic.
