He has, I'm quite sure, after viewing his DA.
I'm sorry for only playing female characters? >.> -
Coming along great! Without knowing, you've really captured how my character has grown up. She was 16 when I first started playing her, but now she's 20. And she looks it!
-
Hah! Awesome! I had no idea you'd be posting wips here. >.>

1295 on Siobhan Lenna.
I've only ever been a casual badger, so the number isn't impressive. I've been collecting these badges as I saw fit, little bits here and there, since 2007. Now I just don't have the spirit to bother with any more. -
I miss the people who would have missed me, had I gone before them.
Also, thirding @Bradders. Class act, as has been said. As for the person who said they missed Pengi, he's still around. Global is @Fausty.
It's good to see a lot of the Shield coalition people around still, those who've stayed and those who came back. Hag, Doman, Mountie, etc.
I miss Terraitor. I also miss most of the people who were in my old VG back in 2007, Daemon Consortium. Some of my best memories were from those days. -
As we all know, defense items and stuff used to 'turn off' their effects over time with placing. Depending on where they were in the base, this was either an annoyance or a blessing. But now with one of the recent patches, these items like the gargoyles and dragons stay on permanently. What I want to know is if there's any way of keeping the items placed but depowering them so their effects no longer function? Some of them I'd like to leave on, but in heavy RP rooms it's a bit distracting, especially since these items were placed aesthetically in a manner where they should be turned off.
Any help would be appreciated. -
Pretty sure BrandX is joking considering her main character uses that face, though it looks different due to proportion changes.
-
I got one from Synapse, to Synapse.
Hey, if no one loves you, take matters into your own hands, right? -
I found the root issue, and it wasn't even the game at all. I had bad sectors on my HDD, which was causing the crashes, and giving me symptoms I'd seen others having. After running /chkdsk and for good measure changing my drivers to 11.9, it's been smooth sailing.
Also, houtex, thank you. I'm a long time NIN fan, and embraced HTDA with open arms despite the fact it got a lot of hate. The video -was- boss! -
I've got an old base I'm looking to rebuild into something new. About 19 mil prestige. Accepting novices and pros alike. It's redside, on virtue, and is demonic themed. Contact me at @Perfy if you're at all interested, I'd be willing to pay if needed.
-
I could use some of this for my new base. It's currently solo but may become more.

So after the 12/6 patch, the problems began. Little things at first, pieces disappearing, building floors and walls disappearing, text becoming unreadable. /reloadgfx normally fixed these things. Occasional crashes, usually when bringing up a conversation with an NPC or bringing up my costume menu. But as of the most recent patches, the crashes have become far more frequent. I'd get one just standing there, or at random times, while other times I'd be just fine, and could do whole trials with no issue. Occasionally I'd actually get an error pop up, usually regarding a .pigg file. I never actually received a mapserver message.
As of today, the crashes increased, so I decided to update my drivers. I've got an HD6950, and was running 11.5 due to driver errors in the past. As a result of all these problems, I moved to 11.10 which is the most recent driver confirmed to cause no issue. For a time it seemed solved, but then the crashes began again. Now I can't even get into a character. I'll select one and attempt to log in, but the loading bar will quit halfway through and it freezes. I've noticed others with similar issues to what I've been having, but what I want to know is if there's any kind of fix for this or if I just can't play until the patchfix, whenever that is. It's very frustrating.

Yeah. The problem is your model has discrete graphics. So you're a completely different story. Still, I appreciate the feedback. Maybe I can get an older T2 model if nothing else
-
That's my understanding, yes, that this model uses the sandy bridge architecture's intel HD graphics 3000. But I've also heard of things like Left 4 Dead running reasonably well. I wasn't expecting Ultra Mode, more just that the game runs smoothly enough I can move around and RP.
-
Hey there. I'm currently considering purchasing a 2011 13" MacBook Pro, haven't decided between Early/Late editions. Main reason is for some of the software available on Macs.
However, I plan on bootcamping Windows 7 for some gaming, chiefly this game. Thusly, my question is less about whether or not Mac OSX runs it so much as whether or not the hardware can reasonably take it. I'm certain the 15" can due to its discrete graphics, but the data I've seen on the 13" is inconclusive.
Can anyone shed any light so I can make a more informed decision? -

Bios are a funny thing. I put effort into them, some more than others. I'm usually pretty proud of my work.
My most recent and currently most active character is named Hellgirl. When it came time to write her up a bio I decided I'd just fill the box with nonsense until I thought to write something better and more descriptive/relevant. So I did. Here is what I'd come up with, more or less typed in five minutes.
Description: (RP)
"Hellgirl, apply directly to forehead."
"Hellgirl. Melts in your mouth, not in your hand."
"Like a good neighbor, Hellgirl is there."
"You can do it. Hellgirl can help."
"Hellgirl. So easy, a caveman can do it."
"There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's Hellgirl."
"When you say Hellgirl, you've said it all."
"Hellgirl - I can't believe I ate the whole thing!"
"Doesn't your dog deserve Hellgirl?"
"Hellgirl: Have it your way."
"Bring out the Hellgirl, and bring out the best!"
"Keep that Hellgirl complexion."
"Hellgirl: Breakfast of Champions."
"The best tires in the world have Hellgirl written all over them."
"Hellgirl - don't leave home without it!"
"Easy, breasy, beautiful Hellgirl." "Hellgirl kills bugs dead."
"Hellgirl: Made from the best stuff on earth."
"I can't believe it's not Hellgirl."
"Hellgirl. Think outside the bun."
"You've got questions, we've got Hellgirl."
"Hellgirl, the other white meat."
"Don't get mad, get Hellgirl."
(The last six or so were added later at suggestions of others. I can't take credit for the whole list, not that the slogans are original. >.>)
Now, I know this bio is silly as all hell. (lol, pun) It wasn't supposed to be permanent. It was just to fill the space. But within two days of making it I'd received more comments on it than any other bio I've written in the past. And it's not like all my other bios were ignored, but it really seemed like once an hour I had someone complimenting this, or suggesting more for it. At first I was actually a little offended that stuff I put time into wasn't liked as much as this simple thing, but I pretty quickly moved passed that and realized this was perfect for my character's personality, and while not directly so, described her quite well. In other words, this five minute blurb was as perfect as anything else I could have written no matter how long I spent.
I guess what I'm saying is sometimes its best not to follow any format and just put up something that will draw attention. As long as it fits your character, in the end, that's the point of the bio in the first place. To show people who you are, and then bring people to you. -
Hey guys. With i19, its become clear to me that it'd be a good idea to have some support on tap. It seems the prevalence of melee is only raising and many teams would salivate at the idea of moar support. With that in mind, I've decided to respec one of my lesser used characters with becoming well rounded with a focus in support. I was actually stuck between rad/sonic defender and this here dp/cold corruptor. I know rad/sonic is probably more min/maxy, and I also know dp/cold is not an optimal build in itself, but I still feel like this corruptor would be more fun for me out of what's currently at my disposal.
For additional info, I'm planning on cardiac boost as my alpha slot, unless you all think Heat Loss alone would be sufficient? It isn't perma and this build is pretty end heavy so I figured it couldn't hurt. Any help is appreciated.

I wondered about this. I ran the arc last night solo and never saw anything about it. I thought it'd be the Bilko thing but I guess not!
Now the question is, do I even feel like going back to run the arc again? >.< -
-
No, absolutely not. I like his efforts to interact with the community and he's a friendly, likable guy. He's also a shill and a ham, and if you feel its ridiculously hostile for me to point that out, or to interpret his comment earlier as brushing Babs under the rug a bit, then that's fine.
-
I guess as far as off beat community interaction goes, we still have Castle and the shill Noble Savage. Which isn't saying Babs being fired made it that way, he went silent months ago so I can't blame it on that. I can however blame it on marketing, and lament the old days of dev/player interactions on the forums. I guess the dev events in game will have to do for that, from here on out!
-
I laughed at the crack animator comment Noble Savage had left about that non-redname guy, Colin Brown. Nice way to brush Babs under the rug, who has always been seen as the top guy. You stay classy, Nakayama.

It's a shame. Whoever's been doing the animations lately doesn't have the chops that Babs has. The bulk of the party pack in particular is outright jerky, which for a paid booster isn't really up to snuff, and I have to believe if it was Babs that had done it, it'd be of a higher quality.
Hopefully the new animation people can sharpen their skills a bit and new animations are of a finer quality. Babs will most certainly be missed.
