Should I feel weak or DA on +1/8

So I decided to take my alpha slotted Spines/Dark/Fire Scrapper into DA to run the missions. He recently came out of retirement and has been enjoying a renaissance with his fancy new Catalized ATO's and his soft capped defense and Alpha slotted ability to run 9 or 10 toggles at once.

I did the first arc in DA and while challenging it was definitely fun. Then I decided to run some of the repeatables and second story arc and wow! The BP enjoys slapping him around like I am back at level 10 and running out of end!

Just curious how many of you alpha slotted or +1 only incarnates are fairing in DA and if any of you are soloing maxed out on difficulty.

My +1 (albeit defense capped) Night Widow is doing great. I only had issues in (SPOILERS) the multi-ambush mission and with the Sentinel when I didn't notice the extra objectives, heh. Oh, PPD are never good with their -DEF but meh.

Usually run at +1/x2 which is a decent setting for that character.

I only have +3 lvl shifted characters, however considering +4 difficulty really only means +1 to your character, I'll comment anyways.

I've been running on +4/x8 on all my toons. I'm really enjoying the DA content, which says alot cause I thought I would hate it being normal missions (which I generally don't enjoy).

The enemy groups are great, with awesome powers. Even on just (effectively) +1/x8 the Talons of Vengeance are quite deadly even for min/maxed characters. They are easily my favorite faction in the game now.

Also I'll second Neur, that PPD mission to lead out Director 11 made me pull my hair out.

Hate the Knives of Vengeance and that Toxic DoT. Other than that and a couple BnP mobs my TW/Elec is doing pretty well set to +2/8 (+1 after level shift), but I'm still mistiming my insps due to lag (my console says the insp is activating, but its not and I fire an attack instead).

on max's arc i decided it not to rescue any of the malta guys and just go straight to the last mish, its really not all that hard lol

There's a plot development with regard to the 5th Column so I would recommend you free Gyrfalcon at least once for story's sake.

my BS/SD Scrap is only a +1, been running on +3/x4. I've died a few times, Knives of Vengeance can be a pain...

There's an attack that the new BP has that drains endurance like a pancake.

I took Maggie (claws/regen scrapper) through Heather Townshend's arc. She has alpha unlocked (nothing slotted), and a T3 Ion Judgment, so no plusses. It was kind of brutal. I enjoyed it thoroughly. There's not much out there that gives her pause and I regularly had to tred carefully.

It is worth noting that the defense soft cap for Incarnate content is 59%, not the 45% we are used to for the rest of the game...

I die a lot on my main Rashnu Damz [stj/nrg scrapper] who is +3 there with the difficulty set at +3/x4.

When you start running it on +8 then you've got seven more peeps worth of debuff heading your way, and since this is incarnate content, sooner or later one of those debuffs will hit you, which means more and more will after that.

I steamrolled through most of the content on +4x8 on my WS fun nonetheless. Ohai Damz! .o/

Except Gyrfalcon is a total wuss. After the first ToV group I was looking around for him. "Where'd he go?" Scrolling back I saw he was defeated in the very first group. Boy was I glad I wasted the time to free him so he could help me out in the last mission...

I rescued all three and only Gyrfalcon showed up in the last mission. And he died in the first ToV group. Never saw Director 11 or Slinger again. Go figure.

Gryfalcon shows up in mission to help you fight.

Slinger tips you off on how to avoid certain obstacles during the "maze" portion of the map and debuffs the end boss.

Director 11 intercepts several ambushes headed your way with his !%$#@ trip mines off camera.
