For once i agree with her.
And it's not like it hasn't mentioned before, i even recall Zwill saying they'll look into it.

Too late now, I guess.
I'm really surprised you didn't change that, but... eh, people will find out what it is before buying it (one would hope, hah).
Still... that period of time, no matter how brief, between reading "Flying Disc Power" and finding out that it is NOT a travel power results in the sort of disappointment that I'd think a game company would want to avoid.
...BUT... this has all been said.
Carry on!

EDIT:
Besides that... HAPPY ISSUE DAY!

It's just dumb, so people misuse a word so we will copy them? Good job, copy people who don't know how to speak the language.
BUY A DICTIONARY PEOPLE!
Trowing is not flying. (it doesn't fly, flying assumes under ones own power)
Medium is not long. (Long hair goes BELOW the shoulders)
Primary is not Secondary... (Primary means MAIN! 1st! the largest part!)
Learn what the words mean before you use them in a professional setting! Misleading your customers is not a good way to get money, its a good way to get sued, and/or lose customers.

and 250 points for that?!?!?! something with no value what-so-ever? it's expensive at 40!

The flying disc is cool and a fun mini-game for players, but 250 points seems a bit much. especially since, unless they fixed things in beta, there's a chance you can permanently lose it.

I would counter with the fact that learning expressions or idioms is part of knowing how to speak a language.

It looks like 'Flying Disc' is the preferred term used by people who actually play with them, so I'm willing to bite onto that one.
Interesting, check out the French version of the announcement:

250pp for a frisbee "power" is absurd.

All the attuned IO sets that are on sale is nice though. If the sale prices were the regular prices I would buy a lot more of these.

I just can't bring myself to spend $10 real dollars on something I can obtain in game, even if they are attuned. $5 otoh can be rationalized away as "one fewer large latte" this week.

And I recall people thinking it was too high in the feedback thread to go to 100 points for this (or 120, which is a costume change power). I'd be okay with either of those figures. 250 is exorbitant, and I say that as someone that loves Ultimate Frisbee and thinks the animations are awesome (and I love that it gives a recievee a temp power to throw it back).

I'm basically who this power was made for, and I'm dubious if I'll ever get it at this price. How much was the fireworks holiday set? Something like the same price or a little higher (I'd check if they gave us receipts like they should for our purchases)? You got tons more for that set.

I don't know if they're throwing a dart at a price board or what, but it's getting silly for those fluff powers. At least try to balance your new stuff with what the old stuff costs, or take feedback into account. 250 points for this does neither.

Like under a parked car?

FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.

250 for an emote? really? and its an emote the relies on somebody else spending 250 to get the full effect? Please tell me if you toss the "disc" that the wolf/dog/coyote will at least play catch with it? Or that if you buy this you will get a discount a future blaster type power set of flying discs? Oh well a lot of good stuff today so I'll give you the lolz one.

They didn't change the name... /facepalm

Makes me wonder if they aren't secretly hoping more will buy it thinking it's a travel power since it costs so much more than an emote should.

250pts? Really?

No thanks. I'll buy a few more SuperPacks instead.

It does not rely on the other party paying for the power. When the other player catches the disc, they actually get a single use "Throw Flying Disc" temporary power added to their tray, allowing them to pass the disc on to another player.

As for the discs working with vanity/Beast MM pets, it's something they're working on but it's not currently available.

So is my dog.

Now if I could just get him to stop running away and chewing on the darn thing after he catches it...

Note: Not actual pic of Chad's dog. Chad's Corgi is way cooler than the dog pictured, but kinda jumps like a pansy.

Will. Or is this leading to a power like throw disc?
For example for blasters or corruptors

250?

Seriously, what the hell are the guys and girls in marketing on? Because they are either on strong stuff or frankly INSANE.
No. Just no.

Zwill came on at one point and was having a throwing disc party in Atlas on the Victory server. I felt bad talking about how it was over-priced then, since it was just a fun "whee, let's have fun!" event that he was doing, but it really does bug me that this was over-priced by so much. It's a GREAT idea, great animation, and the temp power pass on is a great execution on and already great idea. It's a shame that the price is ruining what is otherwise a good (great? did I say that enough? ) thing.

well the good thing about prices is they tend to go down overtime....sometimes
and if one of those 20 to 40% sales is coming one of these days one of these months..ill wait till then

seems like a great temp and ultimate frisbee is a fun idea....but waiting on

Beast mastery 400 to 800 pts (aprox)

Staff 400 to 800 points (aprox)
so total for both either
800 (min) leaving me with 400
1200 ( if one 400 other 800) leaving me at zero till next month 400 pts
1600 (max) leaving me with buying one at 800 and saving 400 for next month so can buy other

which will wipe out my points i saved for them. anything left over goes to
saving for the next power set....

It's using the right name. Sheessh. Cut Paragon some slack. Just because they went with the correct term and not your preffered colloquial term doesn't make it the wrong name.

A throwing disc is a discus, as in the sport most often seen in the Olympics.

I also don't think its badly over priced. Fits in under the allowance nicely, works on every character.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):
