$100.00 on Super Packs

I really really wanted the Black Wolf Pet and seeing some of my friends got one in the only SP they bought I figured it should be pretty easy to get. Nope!

I did get some stuff I can use but I have no use for

All of my toons are 50 so I have no need for most of those. I wanted Scrapper, Tank and brute ATO's but got mostly Master Mind, stalker and Corr drops. I did get a ton of reward merits so I figured I would use those to buy what I needed. You can only buy 1 ATO every 4 days so almost a month to get a whole set.

I know this is just bad luck on my part and I hope no one else has this kind of luck and gets what they wanted. ( I didn't )

They were fun to open but I don't think i'll be buying any more. I will just have to drool over my friends Black Wolf Pets.

Don't forget you can sell the ATOs you have on the market and and buy the ones you want instead.

Also, windfalls increase drop rates, so your 50s should be able to make use of them.

Too bad about your experience with Super Packs. Coincidentally, Gamespy reviewer only just wrote, "I've heard stories of people dropping more than a hundred bucks on boosters to get {a Black Wolf pet}." so it seems he wasn't exaggerating.

You can buy 1 every 4 days, per character!

So don't claim all the reward merits on one character, and email yourself some influnece.

How many reward merits did you end up with?

Bought 24 of the packs. I got the costume in 5 packs (3 pieces in the first pack), as well as the MM aura ATO which I could use. Didn`t get the pet, although I wasn`t really looking for it. Oodles of merits and other stuff I probably won`t claim. I`ll have to look at the inspirations though, since I use inspirations as fast as I get them.

With the remaining points from the $50 bucks I spent, I bought almost every costume bundle off the market since I had almost none of them. And got 4 of the 6 tier 9 costume rewards with the tokens I got.

I think if I ever get into the high level end-game stuff, the super pack rewards might be of more use, but since I just run around pushing buttons and watching the pretty colours, most of that stuff is lost on me.

I have a black wolf pet. If only I could sell it to you in Wentworth's...!

I also got the 24 pack, but that was after I'd already bought I think maybe six packs individually already. Lots and lots of inspirations which I haven't used yet, and a lot of Merits, which I thought was cool! I did get lots of costume pieces, but I wasn't really paying attention to that. No wolf pet.

I got lots of ATOs, but I spent most of the weekend collecting complete ATO sets via the auction house. I was able to gain all six ATOs from the Kheldian, Mastermind and Stalker sets, but the rest have been a bit more expensive than the amount of inf I have on any one character (EDIT: For instance, I still have six outstanding bids of 20,000,000 each for the entire Brute set which have yet to fill; I haven't seen any individual Brute ATO go for less than 100,000,000 so far). I haven't spent any Merits yet to get any of these. I may do so with some of them.

Oh yeah, and this feels nothing like playing slots or the lottery. Just saying. It feels a lot more like buying a bunch of Magic boosters. Well, getting the ATOs from the auction house is more like buying individual cards at Star City Games, lol.
